true...after all the whole reason behind the way spinosaurus evolved is to claim a niche alone out of competition so even the idea that it would fight land predators (carcharodontosaurus since they lived together) makes no sense and the other way around unless it was an adult spinosaurus meeting a young carcharodontosaurus or the opposite as a plausible prey item

This is how I picture Spinosaurus. Both theories of it being salmon hunting bear & semi aquatic behavior. I feel like alot of debates in the paleo community are one sided when we forget that animals behave in multiple ways instead of just one.
A better setting would be a larger river basin like the Amazon. I envision them blocking a river with their flat body and funneling any fish towards the front
