I got "S" pass in the O/L xm . I couldn't understand english when I went to the school than I had to improve My english grammer knowledge. So day by day I studied English Myself thorough social media such as internet,youtube etc.I have gotten "C" pass in A/l examination. I could see littlebit improvement in english. Still now i have beem studying English. Most of people can't understand english beacause of lack of English grammer knowledge.So if u work hard and smart u will achieve more and more what you want..

I am impressed by your teaching skills. You must be in your early twenties but you have got excellent teaching skills. English is a language and priority must be given to practical side. As you said, Sri lankan tutors mainly focused on grammar. Of course grammar is important, but writing down grammar rules is not the correct way of learning English. I live in England and if you ask a native speaker about grammar rules, you might not be able to get a detailed explanation but they are able to speak correctly. So there's a saying that practise makes perfect. If you practise an activity or a skill regularly you become proficient in it. Reading and listening and practising are the way to learn English and not difficult to learn. You actually doing an excellent job. English language has so many ways to explain about something. Example, misconception also you can say misapprehension, misunderstanding or even you can say confusion. Great job 👍😅
