      And also I Ben stronger with the exact same weaknesses. Tacticooler but it’s a moment of activation aoe to a deployable buff dispensary, and adds to it and advantage to any fight and is still good but not op. Awesome.
      Also surfboard shield reminds of the wave breaker, having a supportive or mobility depending on which one, with a secondary deployable shield affect. Like how he has different designs but concepts are shared

    That upgrade Special sounds really cool! And if you didn't know, Splatoon 1's Battle Dojo mode already had something like that - I think it was called... Full Power-Up, also known as Mejora Total (Total Upgrade) in Spanish. Full Power-Up increases several stats, including Run Speed, Swim Speed, Main Saver, and some others. I never got to see its true potential since my brother actually belongs in C- Rank, but it seems to be extremely powerful in the right hands. imagine a Kraken type Booyah Bomb special, where you jump in the air, then turn into the Kraken temporarily and slam down at a destination, basically killing anyone in range, but with a notifier similar to Splashdown. of course it would have not much range but it can be a great tool for opening enemy defense in ranked battles like rainmaker

  • @DoodlesDOTnet
    @DoodlesDOTnet 2 года назад +4

    I really like all the ideas my fave is prob the MOAB! but I wanna share my own, so yah! the special is called the walking Kraken and it allows you to shoot your main weapon while on walls and ceilings, including uninkable surfaces. Yeah, you can clime on uninkable surfaces AND ceilings! it doesn't have a recall but out of bounds areas are impossible to reach, (or if they are then a recall but I don't like the idea of a land special having a recall so yah) it would have 10 pt of un pierceable armor and its hitbox will be around 50% larger. design-wise it would kinda look like the Kraken special from splat 1 combined with the beta designs of the inklings.

  • @spirits9502
    @spirits9502 2 года назад +1

    One idea I had was having a special that changes your ink to low tide ink or high tide ink and you could choose between the two when you activate it. The effects could have to do with ink efficiency or take less ink or something completely different then these. But it would need some kind of glow or something to show others what is happening.

  • @Chaos_Fantasmic

    I had an idea for a special called the inknado basically you make a tornado made of your own ink, it's not huge more like medium size, if another opponent gets to close to it or touches it, they'll get sucked in and die..along with that it leaves a trail of ink where it was, also flinging tiny bits of ink. A downside is it uses a lot of your ink. You can't be killed when using the special because your inside the inknado. But if your surrounded by enemy's and your special time runs out, and if you have low ink, you'll Probobly get splatted. when the specials duration is over, you'll fall to the ground and continue on. If you wanted to use a.special. attack like baller exploding, you could make it explode and kill nearby enemys, it covers as much turf as booyah bomb except it just this big circle instead of swirls, but once you do that, the specials duration gets cut short, but you'll still keep the remaining time you had left, it doesn't have very good range considering how you need to get up close to enemy's to spot them unless your using the special attack. It has a duration of 5-10 seconds. Any special weapon anyone throws at it will get sucked in, like the player. So yea that's just my idea:/

  • @unlimitedduckgamer
    @unlimitedduckgamer Год назад +1

    My idea for a special, Inkpostor. You create a clone of yourself that you control yourself, it having access to your main and sub and being able to go into squid form, but when it gets splatted instead of it exploding in enemy ink it explodes in a large radius of your ink and does 180 direct damage and 30 indirect similar to a suction bomb. It lasts for about 7.5 seconds and for every enemy splatted it adds .2 seconds to the special. If the special ends without it getting splatted it explodes in a much smaller radius and only dealing 30 damage regardless. This special does leave you vulnerable since you lose control of your character in favor of the Inkpostor, so it would be better to activate this behind cover. With special power up the indirect explosion radius becomes larger and paints a bit more kind of like splash down. This would be a good counter to closer range weapons, but not so good on longer range. This special would also be paired with short range and some mid line weapons due to the nature of the special. Some other downsides would be the special charge and the fact you want to be behind cover when you activate the special meaning you'll be away from the battle for a small amount of time, but the upside is it would throw the enemy off if they're not paying attention to who has the special...though it would get predictable over time. I just think this would be a fun idea for a special, but i doubt it would ever become an actual special

  • @galacticsalt7336
    @galacticsalt7336 2 года назад +3

    New special concept, sorta like the ink risk rally, called the kraken flop. It is primarily based off of splashdown and kraken, and potentially based off of booyah bomb. You jump into the air as a giant squid, and aim around to see where you want to flop for about 8 seconds, and either be invincible or have booyah bomb armour while in the air. When you lock on to a landing location a ring will show up to all people who are in it, but disappear when they leave the ring. When you flop in a location, the damage gets dolled out in 3 rings. The innermost ring will be a OHKO about the explosion size between splashdown and baller. The second ring will be 70 damage, about one testing room line farther from the first ring. The last ring will be 30 damage, about 2 testing room lines outside the center ring. Note that the two outer rings will never be visible upon deployment.
    Paint: the paint distribution will be somewhat simple. The inner ring will be fully painted, while the second will be about 50% painted, spread out in rings, and the third ring will be 25% painted, also in rings.
    Pros: can be deployed from far away( if on snipe in moray, you could jump all the way across to the other snipe. Deals lots of damage, both burst and OHKO. Can be used after falling off map before dying to jump to another location. Can be used to stall out areas and paint zone. Can be used to get behind teams and flank them, either being a distraction or a deadly force,
    Cons: Upon landing, you will get a small amount of armour that snipers can one shit through, but can take one shot from a shooter. However you are immobilized for 70 frames (just a little longer than one second), and can only use sub weapons during this period. Increased hitbix upon landing, so you are easier to kill. Someone could sacrifice themselves by jumping in the way of your flop, causing you to crash into them. This would largely prevent its paint, and would make it so you only get one kill(similar to how people block booyah bombs will wall or bubble). Obviously could also be blocked by wall or bubble, assuming they are in splat 3. Completely immobilized while in the air, so if it doesn’t get invisibly, it could be like booyah.

    • @wasted3secondsreadingmyuse30
      @wasted3secondsreadingmyuse30 2 года назад

      I think this special has the most potential in tower control as the tower has the OHKO range. This is another booyah bomb and we've seen how well booyah bomb works in platoon 2.

    Here’s a quick idea for a Special
    Ink Effigy
    Upon use, you will spawn a mannequin that looks like your inkling or octoling respectively that is covered in ink. Once active, your tentacle colors will begin to fade and you will temporarily sacrifice half of your ink tank capacity for as long as the effigy stays up.
    Now, when you are splatted within the next 10 seconds, instead of dying, you will swap places with your effigy and the effigy will explode and cover the enemies screens in a smoke, temporarily blinding them.
    The effigy teleport can be. Activated manually by pressing the special button again but the radius won’t be as large.

    Some gamemode ideas I had:
    A mix between turf war and splat zones in what I like to call
    Turf Squad: in the middle of the map there are splat zones, your color starts off as white or black until you fill a splat zone in which you gain control and can use your own color to cover as much turf as you can before the enemy takes control of the zone, when you take control of the zone all the enemies ink that is black or white will turn into your ink. Whoever has the most turf at the end wins.
    Second I heard that there was maybe a plan to make a rocket gamemode for Splatoon, whether I'm wrong or not this is what I call
    Rocket League: You start off by trying to fill up your special meter, in the middle of the map there is a rocket that you can fill with your ink using a complete special meter. There are 3 notches on the rocket and when you fill the rocket up with three specials you start to get points. When you have control of the rocket any extra specials you put in adds an extra 8 points to your team, there being 100 total. Also when you own it you will gain 1 point for every 36 frames which is the same speed as splat zones. When the enemy team puts in 1 special in the rocket you now gain 1 point per second in game and all extra specials now go into getting the rocket back in your control. When the other team has 2 specials in when your in control you stop gaining points. When the other team takes over they get rid of 10 of your points, they start earning 1 point every 36 frames and take 1 point away from you for every 144 frames that they are completely in control. Finally when the round over the rocket flies into the sky and blows up leaving ink over the whole map, the map, the map will be covered in the respective percents of how many points you got compared to the other team.

    Here's a suggestion that would please a certain content creator's nieces and nephews:
    Splat Sentry/Ink Turret
    When activated, player is holding a device that unfolds into an automatic-firing turret when placed or thrown onto a non-vertical surface. It comes with two types of armaments:
    * A rapid-firing shooter, similar in firing rate and range to Squeezer but with Nautilus' shot velocity
    * A slower-firing rapid blaster, similar in firing rate and range to Rapid Blaster Pro
    Its automatic aim is quick enough to allow this weapon to accurately fire upon an Inkbrush user, making it a great hard counter against opposing brush mains who attempt to flank from behind. It has its an ink tank that can be refilled by hitting it with friendly ink. (i.e., a Sprinkler can keep a Splat Sentry running almost indefinitely.) Its user can fill their special meter while they have an active Sentry and place a new one in a new location (which causes the previously constructed one to explode in friendly ink.)
    * Ink Tank: 200% (versus player ink tanks)
    * HP: 250-367
    + Automatically targets opponents
    + Great as a fallback option and an anti-flank measure
    - Takes time (60-300 frames) to activate once planted
    - Cannot move once planted
    - Vulnerable to Object Shredder
    - Opposing bombs and blaster shots inflict bonus damage
    - Disruptor/Toxic Mist 3.0 temporarily disables it ("SPAH sappin' mah sentry!")
    - Cannot detect opponents stealthily (slowly or with Ninja Squid) swimming in ink ("There's a SPAH creepin' 'round here!")

    I have a concept,
    It's like a radar or something, like a changed Echolocator.
    You get a radar around you that follows you with a medium-far radius (about the size of a splashdown x2) that does a little pulsate thing every few seconds(It pulsates 7 times in the full special time). and everytime it pulsates it locates enemies(no indicator sound because yes but when it pulsates it makes a sound like a submarine sonar or smth) and the enemies it locates (can locate enemies in ink) glow for like 1 second and the glow fades away between that second. Special power up can increase the radius by up to 15%. Anything I forgot?

    I really really REALLY! Want a de buff special because all subs and specials either move the enemy, buff you or your team, or give you a special kill tool. Mist and point sensor and wave are the only things that do this. Having a de buff special would be really fun especially if it could trigger a reverse effect. For example, it could make it so painting would make you lose special, or that your ink tank drains in squid form.

    Special: Kraken's Fury
    How it works: The special user gains ahold of a pearl that is the ink color of your team. Throwing this is like throwing the Ink Storm, hitting the ground but here's the kicker: either GIANT squid or octopus (depending on your character) tentacles start flailing aimlessly in the spot you threw that pearl, grabbing any enemy too close and pulling them under, damaging them or splatting them.

    Here is my idea for a special:
    you pilot a frog, you can hold the jump button to charge a jump when you land there is an ink explosion proportional to the jump. The trajectory is projected for both you and the enemy so its easy to read and punish because you are vulnerable while in the frog. Lasts for a limited time allowing you about 5 small jumps with splat bomb sized explosions (good for claiming a splatzone) or 3 large jumps with explosions the size of splashdown. Also good for just hopping to otherwise difficult to reach areas. I think you should be able to use your weapon from inside it but that would need to be tested.

    I love the Sonic Wave concept the most in its premise, but I have a few questions as to whether I can say if I like it its contents in practice. So, if I am correct, having its effects essentially being a substantially nerfed disruptor, (with slower super jumps replacing slow movement) and disabling all subs and specials for those who are influenced by it? So, can this effect up to all four players on the opposing team? Or, this this more of an eye for an eye eccentric tool for exchanging the inability to use resources for resources? If it's able to effect all four players, then no thank you haha. But, if it's more trade focused and not multi-effective, then it is for sure better. However, I can't see how this special would ever be considered bad, since as we both know, specials in the Splatoon franchise have always been of variable value. For instance, bubbles would be viewed better than say an inkstorm. We can go into specific situations if we wanted to, but generally, bubbles seem like they're better for protection, quick paint output, and insta splatting. So, unless you are disrupting a Splashdown or Autobomb launcher, then you are always going to get at least of equal return or even greater with this special, which poses a potential issue of its exact counter-ability, which is its own special slot used in dedication to cancel other's subs and specials. But again, if this special at the very least gives an equal return of disabling another's special/sub, (or greater) than its counter-ability would kind of be thrown out the window, wouldn't it? That's my issue with "eye for an eye" abilities in games... I look at it just as how you talked about special value in your positioning video with chargers and how annoying they can be; you talked about how you wanted to challenge a junior with armor because you had a baller, and that player has something greater of value, and that if you died, it wouldn't be as bad as if that player had, since their armor would be lost for the team as a great resource. Well, now that whole ideology you have well stated in that video can't apply any better with this special, because no matter what, what exactly do you have to lose with this Sonic Wave special? Literally nothing, you don't even have a special, lol. So yeah, the return of disruption here is at least of equal value if not better, so theoretically, there's really no actual offsets with this special...

      Yes all players in the radius (3 lines in all sides but blocked by walls)
      What is there to lose, well the idea is the startup and range are long and slow, so its easy to get caught and die when using it.

      @@ProChara Ah I see. Speed and radius are factors I didn't think about, so more vulnerable, that's better. I like this concept more now, and I especially love the idea of a Sonic Wave type special with a radius that creates problem solving factors for the opposing team, so great premise as restated. I did wanna ask you something in terms of the contents of a special like this. Do you think taking away player information would be better or worse for Sonic Wave? (rather than taking away people's ability to use subs and specials) This would effect present stage knowledge and awareness tools provided by the game rather than gameplay oriented resources the opposing team has armed with them, so just giving a different outlook. So, limiting player information on screen? I'd just like your thoughts on this kind of thing. "Echo Disruptor", rather than an Echo Locator? Takes away the map and player weapon HUD icons for 7-10 seconds, works similarly to an Echo-locator, as the effect is on the player, relying on their positioning like a Killer Whale in order for the EMP signal to reach opponents. If the special user is in ink then the HUD icons will appear and disappear like an on and off switch, but this won't be a flash so that it won't hamper those who are sensitive to strobing. The rate of information on the HUD appearing on/off depends on how much that player in ink is moving. I added the swimming in ink thing because it would discourage people from just sharking or hiding in ink throughout its duration.

    An idea i had (not a special one) was a map where at a certain time, it would begin raining. During the rain, no one can heal any hp and the ink on the map would slowly dissapate down the drains. There would also be objects that prevent getting rained on like umbrellas which can act as safety points.
    This allows the losing team another opportunity to regain map control as the rain would prolly just last around a minute.

    what if we had a special that changed the action of the main weapon for a single trigger pull, so dynamos being able to yeet the roller, leaving a large trail of paint in its path ( acting like ultra stamp thrown), snipes being able to have double their range at full charge ( charge time is doubled to compensate ) for a single shot, brushes spinning, and flinging ink a decent range in a circle around them once, blasters shooting 3 shots, spread to the left, right, and center all at once, sloshers doing the same as brushes but in a donut around them, etc.

    Special Idea: Paladin’s Shield
    After a short activation period, you and all nearby allies will gain a physical shield in front of you that blocks incoming damage in the direction you face.
    Similar to Bubbler it’s pretty much indestructible, but also has some knock back when blocking attacking, high damaging attacks causing you to recoil further.
    It will point whichever direction you face, but does have a little bit of travel time so you can’t snap to instantly block damage.
    TL;DR it’s basically bubbler, but it creates a physical shield in front of you instead that players can shoot around to still attack you.

    I think a neat idea for a special could be a sort of camouflage special. Inspired by the Spy class from TF2
    My idea is It will change your color to that of the enemy team (maybe it could also change the color of your icon on the top of the screen to be a tell that someone is using camo), and allow you to swim through enemy ink and not take damage from ink on the ground for about 15 seconds. you would still shoot out your own team's ink color and you still take normal damage from enemy weapons and sub weapons (your true color could also be revealed on the map by squid beacons or point sensor and any other targeting specials or sub weapons i.e., torpedo). This would allow you sneak behind enemy lines and get the drop on them if they're not paying attention, and also give you an edge in regular fights because of the ground ink resist, but I don't think this would be that over powered.

    what if there was a special that allowed you to move your spawnpoint to your position when you use it, but it only last 2 or 3 deaths
    can be destroyed, but *only* if you have object shredder (or if you use a special like trizooka, triple inkstrike, booyah bomb, or any special that can instakill someone with a direct hit), even then it would have as much health as big bubbler
    it might be a spawn drone, so you can choose where you spawn within a radius of the drone, or it might be a mini-spawn pad like splatoon 1 and 2 so you just respawn automatically

    Oh. I expected that I missed some Splatoon 3 infodump on specials right before launch.
    Also I can see that Zapfish super being... super broken. I'd keep this down to 2 second to 3 second duration. A lot happens in a few seconds and unless range is limited, it should really be... weak yet utility.
    And Ink armor 3.0. I think that one shield kind of covers that effect though. But good I suppose.
    And... Kdrives... I love mobility. I could see this being a kraken/sub special. However... I'd make it wipe out if you get "splatted" however, you survive and the shield springs early. And of course, you can throw only sub weapons while on the surfboard.

    I like your ideas but, a lot of these just sound so complicated imo. Like, different effects for each weapon, or 5% extra damage in these specific scenarios, etc. Like I said, I do like a lot of them, but there’s nothing wrong with something as simple as splashdown, you jump up, then do damage. Having depth or counter play doesn’t require a bunch of rules, if that makes sense.

It basically give you a free life to push with and when you die you are sent back to where you first used the ult. Like you said if you placed a squid beacon used the special to impact the enemy team, and then jumped back. The amount of pressure you could apply would be insane.

    I have an idea
    The Bomb Carton
    Execution: a player will package multiple unique bombs into a box, then, the player will control the box and place it at a certain area, you can set a specific amount of the bombs in a specific area. bomb damage is 120 damage direct, 20 damage indirect.
    SPU: bigger blast radius or more bombs in one package.
    Strengths: lower points required, can be set to automatically go somewhere. High hp.
    Weaknesses: when the player is controlling the special, they are completely vulnerable. Can be broken at an earlier time, causing it to explode at an unwanted spot.

    my idea would be splatoons 3 ink armor of sorts, the Overloader
    same activation time as ink armor
    for up to 7s you gain bonus 50% ink on your inktank, you cannot recover beyond 100% tho. its single use
    adding a team aspect to it any teammates that stand 2 lines or closer to you when you activate it gain 25% of the same single time use bonus ink tank
    additionally you and everybody that gains the first effect gain the effects of 1 main of the 3 ink savers (main sub and recovery) for 5s
    spu increases the bonus ink tank gained for yourself to a max of 75% and your teammates to up to 35% as well as shortening the activation time by up to 50%
    this special is intended to be put on the regular jr (you can see why) and yes it stacks with jrs passive increased inktank

    For the Swordfish Swarm one, I'd rather have this be a sub weapon probably instead of a special, since we really need more sub weapons in the next game, as well as ones that are good and can directly compete with lethal bombs. A sub version of this could look like foam nerf-esq. "knives" that can be thrown really fast, (with the least amount of endlag out of all subs) have a quick velocity when released, and has a 25% ink tank usage rate, meaning up to four can be thrown at a time for a full ink tank. However, with these benefits being said, the two main drawbacks are that they only deal 35 damage per direct, meaning that 3 of the four knives would have to connect in order to solely splat someone off of them. (and the indirect would be 25, so four knives) On top of this, the precision required to connect with this projectile thrown sub would be very high, equalling that of a charger, but maybe even more so granted that rather than charging to guarantee a direct hit OHKO splat, direct hits will have to be aimed at the chest or above, with three needing to connect, as mentioned before. So, this sub has the fastest travel rate, the least amount of endlag per throw, and can be thrown the most out of any other sub in the game, but requires lots of good timing and leading to hit opponents, with multiple needing to connect for a splat. Ink saver sub can be applied to increase the odds of target hitting for more leniency, up to 15% per throw, (so up to 7 can be thrown) but this would take a lot of main and sub slots. There could also be variations of precision throw based projectile subs like a boomerang that can curve, charge up, and deals more damage but is slower. I would just love this concept in general to be rather instead a class of sub weapons. Specials are really great to conceptualize, and this seems of more popularity to mock-up and imagine in practice, but it is of near fact that we need more sub weapons in this game, particularly ones that will compete against some of the better subs in the franchise's current game. (while also appropriately looking for buffs to existing ones that aren't up to par)
