You are lucky dude, it took me almost 8 years to recognize that my algae/stunted problem was my KH in the tap water is 5-6 and sometimes I used limestone as hardscape too, lol 😂. Now, changed to RO water + carefully pick non carbonate-contained hardscape, viola, those problems are gone 😁
