The kitakas, You were born for such a time as this and may you be used by God coz this is your time.Thank you for always blessing us with your words of wisdom.
Loved the Quality Supermarket illustration. It's classic. Thank you Mukyala Kitaka for being yielded, the rest of us can now be beneficiaries. And to Mr. Kitaka for calling out...that's what covering looks like. Thank you.
Leadership can be a lonely place. Mr. Kitaka you are blessed to have your wife on-board & thank you seeing her inner beauty & for acknowledging her willingness in public. That is true love.
Shan was so happy during this podcast. Thank you for allowing us learn from the mistakes u made and how u bettered yourself. We pray for the grace to carry us too so that we become better
I can not thank God enough for this remnant family that portrays the beauty and purpose of marriage in our generation. Privileged to be a hardcore disciple of the Kitakas always radiating their light to the world like a city on the hilltop.....yeeiiiii
Indeed He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. Thank you for that reminder. Was especially challenged that even when am in the right or i think am right, i ought to act differently and for the glory of God. God Bless You!
Wabula marriage and sharing space is interesting. This water heater anecdote cracked me up. Its funny the small things that rub all of us the wrong way. Grace, grace , grace, for us all indeed
Extend grace to yourself. We are on a journey and I'm sure when we get to know the evil that comes with pride, & with diligence seek God, He delivers us. Cut yourself some slack.
Ever since I started following these podcasts, I have learnt alot. Seriously am also learning to apologize. U guys are real no concoction.😀 U say it as it is
Thanks the Kitakas for this great piece. It's said that a burden shared is one half resolved. My memory was jogged toa time when l was advised by a dear friend after sharing the immense pain l was going through at the time occasioned by a deep hurt from another friend. She advised sit with God and tell Him exactly what l had just shared with her. "Do not waste this pain. Ask Him to give you perspective, refine the scenario and lead you to a solution. To guide, edify, correct and build should be insight and be open to benefit from either or all." I didn't feel understood at the time but l obliged none the less. The results were amazing. Showing mercy hard as it may be sometimes is worth every effort.
You always give us the opportunity to learn different new things. God bless you for coming up with conversations that are worth more than gold. I'm so much grateful to God for your lives🙏
I surely wait for these episodes, but one of the things that was hinted on was okwesonyiwa and okusonyuwa , most women kwesonyiwa and don’t kusonyiwa and that is like washing and hanging on the ground… I hope you get wat I mean… and yet okuwonyiwa totally is where the work is .
Okwesonyiwa speaks of indifference vs okusonyiwa which is to forgive and forget. The former is done from a place of self preservation while the latter from a place of love.
I am surely going to learn to "kumusasila omwami wange Bambi".... really I have to cut people some slack.... Principles have been my thing... but I am learning to extend grace just like I have been the beneficiary Lots of love from this side....
That's a great action point Racheal. Now to take it a step closer to actualisation, it may help to be deliberate about what you'll do when you find your self in that space where everything in you is screaming..Do let us know how this exercise goes :)
My favorite chore is washing dishes. Rukh-shana....beautiful as ever..thank you for the teaching again. If you don't mind me asking, and don't be offended the both of you. Felix have you or are you learning anything from Rukh shana, It seems like all the offenses in the marriage seem to have been done by her, in all the last episodes I have enjoyed watching, it's her learning, changing and what note..., I am yet to watch it. That aside, I learn alot and am happy for you both. One other thing that disturbs me is how felix keeps saying her ability to break....why does she need to be broken. Am not a feminist by the way...just saying, I know wild horses have to be broken that is why that word is unsettling. Sorry if anyone is offended by my question.
Submission can never happen without brokenness. In like manner, I (Felix) I’ve had to break in order to submit to the leadership of Christ. PSALM 51:17 (NIV) 17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.
Also, our family is built on the foundation and order of God that is revealed through His Word. EPHESIANS 5:22-24 (KJV) 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Many people might be disturbed by our union because it’s unconventional. However, it will benefit one more to focus on the fruits of our union as opposed to their own perceptions. Our brains expect things to be a certain way, different things might disturb our minds , not because they are disturbing, but because they are different. Our hope is that people can pick a lesson or two from our journey and add it to their repository of knowledge in the hope that they can have healthier marriages.
@@thekitakas thank you Felix, really hope you are not offended. I learn alot from you, it's just that I might be set in my ways and I had to ask some questions...but I never miss an episode because I enjoy listening and learning from you.
There is no offense taken by both Mwami Kitaka and I :). That you ask questions about things that seem unsettling is a good thing Druscilla. It speaks of a humility that recognizes the need to learn and courage to risk ‘offending’ another in the pursuit of knowledge. May the Lord continue to reveal Himself to you!
You people I had a dream about the Kitakas pidcasts😂 -We were doing an exam but most of the answers I was writing I had gotten them from the Kitakas podcasts. We weren't even stressing with the exam. Beautiful part is the the exam was automatically marked. As I was still writing the ticks would be generated already and man I had passed. My classmates were senior citizens and mature people, most of them my workmates. We even had a plan of visiting each other after the exam and just share eats before we can break off. Though I had passed most of the questions I felt the desire to continue answering, so that maybe I would score 100% (I guess that's the Malaika's excellence part now)... Another interesting part is that we were helping each other in this exam including tying the answer booklets together, and it wasn't the usual competition based exam...The guy invigilating us was very friendly and he kept on smiling at us saying you guys this is an exam, reduce the conversations... but surprisingly the conversations weren't based on copying but we're just having a good time during the exam...turns out everyone had passed but we were deriving our answers from the Kitakas podcasts.. Now this comes after I was overly concerned about the time I spend watching and rewatching some episodes, considering my busy schedules..... but from the dream I think the time is woth it since it will make my marriage tests/exams a whole lot more easier.. Thanks a lot guys, keep doing what you're doing, and tap into more grace each day. I don't have any of your contacts (and I don't have the energy of looking for one), probably I would have shared the dream privately...so my apologies to the followers. As a Christian, I think this is a good message from the Lord.
True definition of *Marriage is a ministry*, *Man the head of a family*, *A helper suitable*..... The Holy Spirit is teaching me alot through you, thank you so much for the ministration and for bearing the price to be the vessels.....
@Oscar, I wanted to meet him too at the beginning of the podcasts, but now I no longer want to...I feel answered along the way 😂😂 Bcoz my head was buzzing in self defense over pride, submission, grace, leadership etc.... but I thank God that along the way, I am seeing the Christ centered perspective in the podcasts.... Bcoz man.... they're not from here, they're Christ centered
You empower your values by submitting to them yourself....wooww This was so my mum ..she's been decent all her life so once she told you go put off that dress it's skimpy u wouldn't hesitate for a second because she's been submitted to decent dressing all her life !!!

When Rukhshana spoke about the man of God she was listening to and mentioned the sermon I immediately knew it was Apostle Joshua Selman's sermon.😅
