Barr had a hard game. Dang.
What paddle is DJ Young using? Doesn’t look like his usual CRBN. Wonder why?
Epic zombie lob!!
Good call on Barr’s illegal serve-top of paddle above the top of her wrist. Not called but deserved: downward motion. I don’t understand why it wasn’t called on all of her other serves since all she did was serve from a lower position without changing the relative position of paddle to wrist. Gabriel Joseph’s serves are similarly illegal but I’ve never seen it called.
If you set playback speed to .25% and freeze frame ball is contacted clearly below the wrist. Like many Barr whips her wrist prior to contact to impart some different spin.
I'm watching while I wait my turn for a manicure 💅 perfect
2:57:42 Ball was out. Bad overturned call.
The remarkable teacher probably wobble because locust potentially guard unto a gullible gusty enquiry. ill, squeamish loss
So ive been looking into trying to get into Tennis or Pickleball. Not gonna lie, this looks boring and slow as hell compared to Tennis.
Don't watch the video to make up your mind. Go out there and play both, a couple of times, or a week of each. Than make up your mind. Neither sport is boring.
getting in to the slow dink battle is the hardest thing about the sport. In the Sub 4.0 level, there is less consistency with the slow play so there is usaully a lot more action and faster points. Pickleball is addicting, and much easier to pick up besides tennis.
Keep in mind that in either sport the pros are doing things that look easy but are incredibly hard. I've played tennis and pickleball, actually much more tennis and I find the nuanced skills of pickleball very fun as it requires much more accurate placement. In tennis I could just win many points on power.
Played tennis 10 years before pickleball. At 50 years old, most play doubles in tennis. Doubles in tennis is much slower than doubles in pickleball. Also, pickleball is easier to find good competitive games. Tennis has leagues, which is good, but you need to find a good team. Try both. You will see.
Look again... you're way wrong!
