- In this episode of the Regenerative Agriculture Podcast, John discusses how to manage vegetative growth versus reproductive growth. He gives the specific nutrients that drive both types of growth as well as the hormonal interactions which drive plant dominance. Nutrients in both categories interact with and synergize or antagonize certain plant hormones. These interactions shape how trees and plants develop reproductive buds and fruitwood versus shoot growth. See the complete show notes at regenerativeagr....
After many years, I finally understand to this video after rounds of listening to this. Thanks John for your generosity of sharing knowledge.
Mind blown 🤯
Will never look at my garden and soil the same way again! Thanks…!!!!!!
So glad you enjoyed this, Mary Nunn! Happy gardening :)

Thank again for such a great podcast. Could you please teach what’s the best way to add calcium to the soil? Thanks!
I am so glad to hear this on a little bit deeper level! Thank you John!
great information at 18 minutes. priceless
Thanks a lot again. So much of excellent learning! My appreciation from Panamá 🇵🇦
Once again very effective information as I am a vegetable grower.

If possible can you please share more of knowledge on impact of nutrient in potato feild
Isn't auxin a stimulating hormone for root elongation? And cytokinin rather for shoot growth?
How we can use Ca to get the vegatative response in stead of using nitrate or K, in other words, if in SAP analysis everthing is in balanced, but we want to have cytokine dominancy or Ca dominancy, Will we use more Ca to achieve this goal?
How do you apply calcium to get such an effect as to be your main growth driver?
Would calcium citrate work? Or is it only calcium phosphate.
Hey John, looking back at this recommendation to stimulate vegetative growth through Ca do you have any concerns about the oxidizing effect of CaSO4 or CaCO3 on soil health?
if your soil alkaline ph above 7 you need sulphur or CaSO4 to normalize but if your soil acidic ph below 7 you need CaCO3
We in Asia like to make fermented liquid fertilizer. It can be made from various materials, for example, moringa, grass etc. Can liquid fertilizer spray like that increase the photosynthetic capacity of plants too?
Cyto=cell kinin=division..you said auxins were? I'm confused by this
Is it same in sugarcane
Woof! Great episode. This isn't on the Google play music, I didn't know it existed. This is a topic on par with Michael Kraidy
Without addressing Calcium correctly by amending properly, these are all patches. Too much woowoo juice on the market already.
Who is Michael kraidy
Cytokinin literally means cell division..how are auxins vegetative if they expand the cell and cytokins divide?
An excellent example of Hegel's dialectics in action. Unity and struggle of opposites. Exacerbation of contradictions and their subsequent resolution.
Thank you ❤
This is some amazing stuff.
