I'm a Liverpool fan, winning a treble in the pre Abramovich era was almost impossible. And to do it with half your squad being home grown talent, it's a miraculous achievement.
Yes man city spent hundreds of millions to do it with no academy players regular starters. United 8 of first 11 was British and academy players often. Best season in English football history.
You are a REAL ONE … RESPECT
@@huwdavies-tallon3305I hate City but this isn't true. They had Foden. He's from their academy.
@@fredthered1074 That's one. United had Neville brothers, Becks, Giggs, Butt, Scholes
@@someonesch4361 I'm not arguing that, the post I responded to said they had no academy players. I corrected him.
Homegrown talent, TRUE league parity, and pre-oil money. Greatest Treble Ever
Pre Madrid/Barca spending spree
Well.. there's the spoiler for ya 😢
This other team beat Bayern 3-0 & Real Madrid 4-0 on their way to the Champions league final then won it again Inter. They beat their rivals Man United for the FA Cup. Won the league which was their 3rd consecutive league title. To me that's the greatest treble ever. & they are about to make it 4 pl titles in a row. They might just be the Greatest Team ever.
@@carltonmkandla44 With the greatest conmen ever behind them to seal the shady deals behind the scene. Well done, you ruined all integrity in football.
@@carltonmkandla44What a joke. Anything can be accomplished with that much money and scamming behind it. They play good football, but it's a disgusting club and and an even worse group of fans. Anyone who is saying what you are needs to have a good look at themselves.
All done without 115 charges
In 1998/99 Man U spent £39m and tv revenue was £8m. Which today is like spending £500m in one summer. No FFP then. Just Chinese share holders filtering money to the club for the image rights in Asia
@@soapboxparishrecordings5287 Another graduate from the City School of Yapping.
and all done with 7 youth academy players in a squad of 15. That's 50% of your main squad from the youth academy. Sir Alex truly was, is, and will be the greatest of all time.
@@shahzadirani dunno where you got that 15 number from. Facts are facts. Liverpool had the all the money in 80’s, Man Utd in the 90’s, Chelsea in the 00’s, city in 2010’s. All the best man Utd players were bought in the treble side. Keane Cole yorke teddy ole Peter Johnsen. Scholes and beckham on great players from the 92
Keane was bought 6 years before that, a young prospect with huge potential…..lucky for us he became the most decorated captain of the PL era. Berg and Johnson hardly world beaters. Sheringham in the twilight of his career everything is owed to by the manager who man managed brilliantly
sir Alex literally sat down same day, same outfit to record for both the Netflix Beckham doc, and the amazon prime 99 doc
such a sir Alex thing to do, gotta love him
Cheltenham and aintree been on bud. He’s got better things to do nowadays.
Still on that Fergie time ya know hes gotta hustle 😂
United 99 and 2008 where class legendary
and to think that the 2008 United team would have also won the Treble if NOT for that freakish day in the FA Cup at Old Trafford vs Portsmouth where we hit the post a couple of times and had multiple chances cleared off the line, ugh.
To think they could have easily won a treble in 2008, but lost to Portsmouth at home in the quarter-finals. The winners of the FA Cup that year: Portsmouth!
Plus euro final the following year, always underrated
'..and Solskjær has won it'
Five words that will stay with me forever !!!
Shivers everytime.
Chills.. literal chills
Man Utd Hated, Adored ....
But never ignored
You’re a poet and you don’t even know it. You rhyme all the time. 😆
Until Sir Alex retired
Lol. When was the last time Manure won a meaningful cup? 😂
@@darrendent8288 2017
@@darrendent8288They may not be at their best but whats that say about everyone else cause they are still on record as the most dominant club in premiere league history and its been years 😂
I'm a Liverpool and although there's been thousands of docs about it already, I'll watch it. Its a great story no matter who you follow.
Fair play bud, one thing we can say is at least any of our clubs achievements aren’t tainted by charges or needing Ole money etc
if you want to denounce and deconvert from the evil liverpool god and convert to the good man utd god, there is help available. please see... ........... Only joking pal, fair play!! Although we are rivals my respect for liverpool is immense. i feel nothing to ward man city. united and liverpool have had a long history of successes and also the bad times, but its all in joses words football heritage. peace!!
Undoubtably the best treble ever. The teams they beat in the champions league was frightening. Not to mention the Arsenal team they beat in the FA Cup and pipped to the league on the last day of the season by 1 point. Incredible
Citys was better
@@Swan94y 115 times better

THE REAL TREBLE
The only treble.
No reason not to relive this again! The Beckham documentary was amazing as well.
it was awesome , as this one will be as well! So much to learn from these!
"115" would be title of Man City's documentary if they made one.
If. They won’t be talking about their treble in 25 years time.
@@jamlemon why do you say so?
@@vijeykumar7429 they’re not talking about it much less than a year on and when it is talked about there’s the spectre of the 115 charges hanging over it.
@@jamlemonYou're still talking about it 😂
@@Rainer-mr as I said hardly talking about it less than a year on. No-one cares. 😂 😂 😂
Watched this at University with some Leeds supporting mates. Me being Manchester born and bred and big United fan. It was a roller-coaster of emotions. The game itself was pretty bobbins but by the final whistle even the Leeds fans had a tear in their eyes.
As an Arsenal fan to me this is the only treble that had me applauding as a rival fan. THE TREBLE!
Really? It gave me ptsd watching this!
We were close to winning the double that year.
That Arsenal team was incredible and I think would’ve won the double if Bergkamp had scored that penalty.
Personally I think having a rival like that makes United’s Treble even more impressive
City's treble is barely spoken about whereas the 99 treble season is still spoken about fondly. Says it all
as a liverpool fan watching man utd dominate the premiership through the late 90s and early 20s was something else to be honest, honestly excited to watch this
It could be argued that the team wasn't the most dominant of the era but that season was full of drama and comebacks it's unforgettable. I still remember clearly the night of the UCL final watching it with my friends at 3am!
Quite a lot of football documentaries have come out lately
what ones in 2024?
Yeah quiet a lot. About 16 so far
They feel more like PR campaigns instead of authentic documentaries
Football is losing its shine, hence these campaigns to make it more popular
Imagine the Messi documentaries that’s gonna come out now that he’s won WC in such manner … they will be legendary.
Pure footballing perfection for a supporter. No team will ever experience such glory.
City did
@@Swan94y they didn't. If you know football then you understand
City will win a record 4 Premier leagues in a row.. And if they beat Madrid my bet is another treble and beating man united in the fa Cup final... And just like that man united is well and truly buried in the past lol... Oh and by the way liverpool with their league cup win this year has put them as the most successful club in English football by 1 trophy.. So poetic in 1 season yas are buried lol.. Watch out Chelsea will put yas in 8th position hahahahaha
@@Swan94y no they haven't and never will.

Arsenal fan, but this the Manchester I dread everytime the gooners played against them. My God look at all that talent and their manager? Legend!! Can’t wait to watch it.

If Keane is not interviewed it’s not worth watching 🤷♂️
I thought I was the only one feeling this way! 😂
Absolutely!
Literally the only comment I was looking to read after watching it! How could you NOT have the captain in this?! I'm an Arsenal fan and the only reason I want to watch it is for Keano 😂
Agree (even tho i'm not a united fan lol)
Came here for this comment
If Roy Keane is not in this documentary, i am going to flip some tables.
Am a Arsenal fan but am definitely watching this brings back so much memories of that season
For some reason the achievements in those times were so memorable. Specific moments in matches stand out but now it’s not the same for some reason.
I forever love this club! GGMU ❤
99.. what a season
People talk about the treble of Man Utd every week and every month. I bet you most of the football world has already forget that City won a treble last year. That's how much it means more to us
No bro , in case you forgot it but every media, other club fans nowadays building pressure on city for x2 and remember for more salt, city go for treble by beating United in FA cup final.
That's true. I literally forgot City won the Treble last season until a commentator recently asked if they can do it again. I think because their own was more straightforward. ManU's was drama-filled from beginning to end
@@user-mv7kh5sv9z That's my point
You’ve probably never even been to Manchester.
@@TheMagicianBee Relevance?
Real Madrid have won over two dozen CL and u lot are fixated on us 😂. Brand manutd is unbeatable no matter how awful we are in the present
biggest club in the world for a reason ,alot of people love man utd
of course they're a big brand and were incredibly successful in the past. Its the EXACT reason you handpicked them out of every club in the world to support haha. Glory hunters with zero affinity to Manchester.
As a United fan I agree but also, why do so many people think a dozen is 6 these days 😂 what happened, 6 is half a dozen, meaning a dozen is 12
😂 Classic English fans, thinking their club is bigger than Barca,Bayern and Inter and ,,ONLY,, behind Real
@@zeo4481 in terms of global fans and global popularity…they absolutely are only behind Real Madrid 😂
We need more of these considering the current state of affairs at the Club (for the last 10 years, post Ferguson era)... to keep us going.
Much rather watch this than the City show and I’m a fan of neither club but have a lot more respect for United.
That's because you don't know anything
What a team,what history,what iconic moments and players,what a worldwide fan base what a self made club from over time,what a club,what a name…. Manchester United 🔴⚪️⚫️
Historically utd has the Biggest and best stories.
Proud to be a MU fans since early 90s. Still remember the UEFA Champion League final, what a game! No doubt, sir Alex is the best.
No Roy Keane interview?? What's the point.
I know right? Considering how important Keane was to the club that season it seems ridiculous he's not on the documentary.
Maybe a surprise
I hope that he will be in the original documentary though...
He was the ONE who dragged us towards the treble. Sir Alex on the ground.
Guess I wont be going out on the 17th May? lived thru it 25 yrs ago, want to do it again, this is gonna be EPIC
Kids it's time to watch the Real English Club Treble Winning Team story the one that was celebrated by everybody and meant more.

The Real treble
Incredible. The original, untainted. Without the backing of a state and 115 charges
Hopefully City get what's coming to them and get stripped of their bought titles
Yeah just the backing of Sky, the Prem and entire continents 😂
@@mikem8211There's no way an Assna fan is talking about bought titles 😂
I've no axe to grind with either Manchester club. I support a League Two side, but I appreciate good football and great stories. United's achievement was a perfect encapsulation of that era. City's did the same in a very different era. I cheered for them both. The mark of time can't be understated - it's 25 years since United's treble. If, by 2048, loads more teams have won the treble, then you can talk about the unique achievement in 1999, but on the field, in whatever era, with whoever you put out, however they got to your club, to win all of those games and take the three major trophies available to you? Phenomenal. Well done United 99, well done City 23.
Goosebumps
Some of the best few days in my life.🤷
Legit treble!!
A trebel won by playing football, not bought with oil money with 115 charges of Financial irregularities hanging overhead. A treble won in the age when financial inequalities did not yet cripple either of domestic and Europan football. A treble won as underdogs. A monumental achievement which will forever be considered the greatest achievement by an English football club.
Looks fookin AWESOME ❤
Legends.
No keano???????? He legit got united through the semi final. He was the captain and hes not featured in this doc? crazy. Nonetheless, look forward to it
Sir Alex Ferguson definitely is the GOAT. MU ended for me without him
Manchester United ❤
Won with the majority of youth players and pure grit, determination, and genius of Sir Alex ❤
Teams should have to have at least 50% homegrown academy players.
Good to see the people who made beckham have made this as that was a good documentary so this should be aswell
Now this is the highlight of a United fans season
Looking forward to watching this
The real treble, not overshadowed with 115 charges...
With the glazers as our owners we will never see that type of success again. At least we have the memories
Where is Roy Keane? Silly making it if he’s not going to interviewed in it
Show this to the current squad before the FA Cup final.
Manchester is football, football is Manchester
Hell yeah! Lets remember when United were gods...last century!!! Sad times @ Old Trafford. Next season will be 21!!!!
Not a Man United fan and I have been enjoying their decline and banter era for the last 11 years since Fergie left.
But for me, Man United 1999 treble win will forever be greater than Man City 2023 treble win seeing as when Man United did it, they did it with home grown players and they went unbeaten in all competitions from December of that season until the ending of that season.
They lost only 4 games out of the 62 games that they played in, in all competitions that season. That is a crazy feat.
I'm not a United fan which is an understatement but I cant wait to watch this
I can see they filmed this and Beckham's documentary together. Sir Alex Ferguson, Gary Neville and Beckham's interview frame is exactly the same.
As a Scouser united are still living in the past and Beckham cashing in!
When is it out
This treble was better than city's 115 mudded one
*"... they ALWAYS score..."*
I hope they get airtime from Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs two of the greatest ever to do it. United in prime was the scariest team :) #GGMU
Glory Glory
Thought this was going to be a Wayne Gretzky doc...still interested :P
Do we really need another thing on this its covered quite a lot in class of 92
I'll watch this before I watch any Man City documentary.
That one season where everyone supported Man U even if they were fans from other clubs
Beckham documentary was great so even as a Liverpool fan I expect this to be brilliant

It’s actually crazy how people run out of ideas , we have heard enough of this before lol
United united ❤️🙏🏾👏🏾😊
I hope I can watch this here in New York
Yeah, we always get forgotten with these football documentaries. I don't see it on Prime here..... again. :/
Manchester is red in worlds eyes❤
SAF looking dapped up
I'll be sad if no Ryan Giggs interviews, don't care about off the pitch drama, he was so central to that team's success for so long, no reason to leave him out of the history he was apart of
YEAAAAHHHHHHHH, i’m watching this one
Why are these football documentaries hardly ever on Prime in the USA. This doesn't come up, neither does the one Rio did.... the only one I can remember being there is the Rooney doc.
The Real Treble!!!
How many of these are we going to get. I swear they remake this every year.
In next 20 years they are gonna make "The Pass from The Blonde (David Beckham)" special edition "Manchester united legacy under David Beckham
This is the only deserved treble in English football to date.
Canee wait
I hope Roy is there as well.
the best english treble
Did they get Roy for the doco? As unlikely as it is, I hope they did. We wouldn't have made the Champions League final if it wasn't for Roy in that second leg against Juventus.
Real football, authentic characters, proper entertainment, and most of all no fraud behind the success. Pedigree, history, ambition & ultimate Glory... United will return someday.
The current United squad should be forced to watch this over and over again, until their utter shame forces them to actually turn up.
We need inter Milan 2010 story, Chelsea changes under Roman Abramovich story, Real Madrid trible Champions league story 🙏
This coming out a year after city did it is the perfect slap in the face to peps yawn inducers. Nobody cares about city, united still the big story, however bad we are currently
"NAME ON THE TROPHY!" GGMU!
Becks was immense that season, should have won the ballon d'or.
Nahh.. he is not same level with R9, Figo or Carlos even Pirlo or Maldini
