White American Gen Z and millennials. I’m going to explain to you. Something your grandparents will never tell you. I’m going to explain to you. Why America is now weak and why China is becoming the worlds dominant power. China had no technology, it was poor and basically undeveloped. It was white Americans who opened the doors for China. BUT WHY??? It was never in the white mans interest to awaken the great dragon. Historically, white Americans would always go against their own best interests. As long as it negatively effected Black Americans. The HATE FOR BLACK AMERICANS is the root. To the self destruction of America. Read this carefully. Whites Americans had strict all white immigration policies before 65. When Black Americans won civil rights in this country. That all changed. Here’s where it becomes deep. White Americans, rather than allow. Black Americans to have their fare share. Took manufacturing out of the cities(where black Americans were becoming the dominant populations) sent them to China(back door deal). Then flooded the Black communities with immigrants. To create a buffer class and buy up the self reliant(at the time). Black American communities economically. Remind you, this time. Prior to the all white mass immigration of the late 1800s. They had to USE NON WHITE IMMIGRANTS this time. They understood Black Americans would never go for the all white immigrant buffer class again. Which totally threw Black Americans off, because we accepted these non white immigrants. Civil rights, affirmative action, 14th Amendment etc we’re all supposed to be for the CHILDREN OF AMERICAN SLAVES. Not for every immigrant. That illegally pours into this country. The Nixon administration. Charged the civil rights language; to so called minorities. Now the entire world, can come into America, and claim it as theirs. Creating an entire new American way of life. All done in the name of cutting out Black Americans. Thing is, white Americans thought everyone would go along with it(which they do), but the great dragon had way more ambition. It’s has backfired on white Americans ten fold. The Chinese were NEVER YOUR FRIENDS. You opened your economy to them and they reversed engineered all of your technology. Infiltrated the entire society and now even own the president of the US in the open. A military general at the pentagon. Was caught giving information to the Chinese about trump. HE STILL WORKING. You can’t make this up. Now America has been sold to the highest bidder. Young white Americans are looking at their country change before their eyes, but don’t know the root. It also goes a lot deeper than that, but that is as small as the nutshell I could make. The hate for the Black American(FBA) is what has ultimately caused the destruction of America. That’s the truth and the only way to get it back. Is to do right by the Black American(FBA). Notice, I’m not talking about all Blacks. America owes no other groups and it needs to start acting like that again if you want it back.
America has been legit supporting nazi groups in ukrain. History has shown that once an empire starts to decline drastically then it's pretty much fooked. And it's not just America that's on the decline. The entire Western world is falling. Power is now starting to shift towards the East. We deserve it, for we brought this upon ourselves.
Yes but deserve it? That indicates poverty of morality as the cause of the disorder, very myopic view of the situation. It is cultural, geopolitical, economic etc and morality is just one small part of the beast.
Shultz is wrong in this one. The wealth gap is growing at a staggering rate. How are average American people supposed to be confident when the American dream is dying. Home ownership, vacations, feeding their family’s in some cases are slowly slipping away for the average joe.

Tim is on-point in this when he brought up Detroit. Not only was Detroit an economic dynamo, at one time...but the same was true for another 20 or 30 smaller cities that were manufacturing towns that SUPPORTED the Detroit economy (Flint, Akron, Toledo, Erie, etc). The country needs to get serious about bringing manufacturing back into the US.
Every politician will Promise manufacturing coming back to the US and never deliver. Because it’s in their corporate interests to keep slaves in Indonesia making the products we consume.
While I agree, we have to be realistic at the same time. It's not as if we can bring ALL manufacturing back to the US, unless of course we're willing to pay a hell of a lot more for products.

This country needs to provide the very basic necessities to its citizens (healthcare, housing, education, employment), because if not, the citizens aren't going to fight to save it when another country invades, FDR understood this
Andrew is a fantastic comic, but he's a bit clueless on the class struggle. It's easy to be oblivious to it when you are so successful. No hate either, we all want that. But still, it's easy to lose perspective.

This was a great conversation. It's wild to see how accurate Tim is. Andrew is a great comedian but way out of touch with the class struggle. I feel like banging my head against the wall when hearing him talk about the downfall of U.S. cities.
Yep, he's a really intelligent guy, but he's got a huge blind spot. When he admits to driving through and seeing tent cities, he misses the point that they're Americans too.
Shultz acts like a semi-racist white liberal. Not that he’s hateful but he’s above being bothered about n-word problems, sort of speak. Hence, why “being more arrogant” seems like a great idea to him. He’s exactly like the typical white male Gen-X Democrat, in Portland.
Andrew was absolutely spot on about the downfall of cities. If we live in a country now where everyone has to spend their money only for "the greater good," you just might have the answer to why we're failing as a country. The "working class" isn't entitled to the product of my labor, and I will never be entitled to the product of someone else's labor just because my skills suddenly don't matter. The "class struggle" is destructive Marxist narratives and nothing more

“They have no purpose - We’ve gotten rid of communities, we’ve gotten rid of religion etc.” Tim hit the nail right on the head on that one. People that otherwise would have turned to religion or hobbies, are now larping around on Twitter pretending to care about the current thing while probably also doing hard drugs.
I'm not particularly religious (43) and, i've watched religion over 2 decades get systematically decimated along with everything attached (value of marriage for eg)..
In some aspects sure, less religion is great. In other aspects, less religion is no good at all. Even Nietzsche understood and wrote about this as an anti-religious philosopher. With the vacancy of religion, something will inevitably take its place. Very important we sort out what we replace it with.
@@darylhenry9595 The majority of people need religion and a sense of cultural/ethnic identity. When they dont have it (particularly White people because its basically illegal) they turn to weird identities like im the emo guy, the star wars guy, the football guy, the wigger guy, the sjw guy, etc
Being on a downward spiral and having had so much "confidence" is a correlation. We are on a downward trend because when you are overconfident you make mistakes. You take on shit that you shouldn't and ignore threats.
A week or two after 911 I was going beach camping on Straddie, an island off Brisbane Australia. A big bus full of late teen/early 20s Americans was at the dock on the Island when we arrived. I said, "check out how quiet those Americans are" to my mates. Neither of them would initially believe that they were Americans because they expected them to be the loudest people in that postcode. Then in South America in 2018, the only place I heard raised American voices was one loud mouth on the train out of Machu Picchu. I want the US to get it's shit together. We need a strong and noble US in the world. But there is a painful process underway that has to happen. And I say that as an Australian. We've got plenty of shit to deal with here too.
What I like about Tim is that despite his wealth he sees outside of his social bubble how his country is declining. He's aware of those negative trends like economic inequality getting worse everyday, people working several jobs, or not having healthcare in the richest country in the world. Andrew doesn't seem so aware of that in this conversation. Saying "new cities are gonna pop up instead of Detroit" is a bit like saying "climate change, really? Yesterday it was cold here".
Tim was 100% on point. I think Andrew sees it as, when one city falls below a certain line, another comes up. Tim on the other hand is saying that we had multiple cities above that line and prosperous. Back in the day it was a given that a strong middle class was the basis of a strong country. When did that fall out of favor?? Why did that up and leave
As an Englishman, I'll give my input here, a confident and arrogant nation is a double edged sword. We are taught that the empire is over in public schools, but close ties with former empire countries like Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Sometimes feeds the notion to some that we are still a powerful global empire, but the truth is we are just one strong country one among strong allies. I will say we do have a somewhat nasty racist atmosphere in England, but the rest of the UK is better in that regard. Our main problem is the class divide, we still have an aristocracy, lords and lady's, the rich and the poor, and the rich have always ruled, even now with the right wing tories , they serve the rich only, yet the poor still vote for them. Also corruption is running rampant in the government, and the UK is on the brink of breaking up, with Scotland wanting out and to rejoin the EU and Northern Ireland talking about reunifying with the Republic. So England would lose the strength of its British allies to some regard. Its a lovey place to live, and with a rich history, both dark and heroic, it definitely has a prideful people, and the good and bad that comes with that. But we are definitely taught that the empire is over, at least in my experience.
"I will say we do have a somewhat nasty racist atmosphere in England".....No we don't. Painting everyone in the country with the same brush isn't something you should do.
@Jake Calvert He isn't "painting everyone[...] with the same brush". I understand his POV. I experience/see racist undertones on a weekly basis. I work in the hospitality industry and, I am black. Ignorance is a luxury ethnic people can't afford to have!! This ignorance may not be conscious, butt white/Caucasian ppl need to understand that they will NEVER UNDERSTAND. @The Marauder, listen to my guy. Get out there. Whenever you randomly think 'aahh man I'm having a good day', just take 5mins out and people-watch.... butt reeeeeally people-watch, and you will see the subtle nuances that certain ppl emulate [towards others]. (Sometimes they don't even know they're doing it!?) Why am I saying all this??!.... this is a skill that minorities had to develop to navigate through this white man's world. Evolution is more than physical.

@@BrocKelley Do you have any proof that Tim DIllon is either pretending or acting/imitating someone else? As far as I know, stealing/imitating in the comedy world is looked down upon and Tim Dillon is beloved by most comedians. I doubt that would be the case if he had an inkling of not genuinely being himself. If you have any evidence yo suggest otherwise, then I will be happy to see it. On your point of him being repetitive. Isn't everything repetitive? There is only so many things we as human can touch on. Life is really condensed down to about 8 basic topics. So to say that he is repetitive, ok sure, but with that logic, everyone is. Unless you mean he explicitly repeats the same rhetoric in an unusual amount, then I could agree, but I wouldn't know that as I don't really listen to tim.
Sorry. Y'all don't have a clue what you're talking about. There's lots of reasons America is falling, and you mention none of them. Making it more difficult for people to vote out poor politicians is assisting America's decline. Not using the popular vote as a method of choosing leaders is assisting America's decline. Extremely poor public transportation throughout the country since the 1950s when mostly white men decided cars would be main mode of transportation is assisting America's decline. You'll never have more than a two party system to vote for ever in places like NY and FL, so the two sides are going to fight until there's no America left. Education is never going to improve, and there's lots of other reasons too. It should be easy to see, but I can see with y'all that it's not. Policy matters greatly. If we cannot get weed declassified at the federal level, why would anyone expect improvement in other areas? Keep your eye on that one if you're looking for positive change, and until that changes, nothing will improve. Ever.
Exactly this, many elections have been two terrible options so we vote for the lesser of two evils, or in many cases Red or Blue always because that’s the team they’ll always be on even if it’s against their own best interest. Gerrymandering has also allowed people who have no right to be in any level of political power to gain it. The bar is INCREDIBLY low so politicians have no incentive to run on policy, they run on “hey at least I’m not on the other side”.
I used to have a friend like Andrew.. I’ve seen that smile before. I bet he can charm anyone and walk into a room and have the whole room glued to him. He’s jus that type of person so can see why he got famous. And Tim is jus very smart.

Without any resort to Western media we can establish that Chinese and Russian tanks do not mean much. Any questions?
The war is economic. I’m from Africa, most African countries no longer turn to America, The World Bank, or the IMF for loans and infrastructure deals. China is literally supporting almost every major infrastructure project around here. It’s the same story you hear over in the Caribbean too. Due to this a lot of countries are having their loyalty bought by China. If china acted the way Russia did, majority of the developing countries will be quiet and support it the same way we used to be quiet and support America when it would invade other countries.
A lot of developing countries have been pretty quiet in regards to the Russia/Ukraine war to be honest. I think our media has a tendency to present European opinions as "World" opinions.
These countries are gonna regret it. China is intentionally lending money they know these countries can’t repay. They do this so they can control the key infrastructure of these countries when they eventually default. China will exploit Africa in a way America never would, and many African countries are starting to realize how screwed they are.
Well Russia played a major role in helping South Africa fight apartheid that's why most a majority of Africans don't give a shit about the Ukraine and Russian invasion, Europe has never been for us
Tim is talking poetically about the deterioration of the middle class. It's beautiful. Schultz is sitting there bewildered. This is a simple matter of America being as strong as our average citizen. Opportunity is strength. Instead we are top heavy. The top earners are sitting around making their own rules and running companies more interested in their bottom lines than the health and longevity of their workforce.
We need to foster business. Take emotions out of it. It makes sense to incentivize business and tax 1000 workers for their fair incomes than to ask the 1% to pay all of them. Along with just lowering taxes for everyone because our spending is such an absurdity. This doesnt mean I love billionaires and think they are generally good people, but you cant stop them from setting up shop overseas if you price them out
If you didn't know who these three guys were, and I told you that one of them is trying to explain to the other two the reality of the struggle for those not in the upper class, there's no way you'd pick that it was the guy who looks the most like an actual American. He'd be your third pick.
Pretty amazing how people think the entire point tim was making was moral bankruptcy when, actually, his point was not having HEALTHCARE, well paying jobs, or having easy accessibility to these jobs leads to where we are now. The 50s were great for the middle class because they could walk down the street and get hired to do a job that could provide for their family with no previous training.... my grandfather went from being a butcher to a boiler operator at a power plant and he started both those jobs with no background in those fields... when he retired in 1988 he was making $27 an hour, over six figures in today's money when adjusted for inflation... With no prior training
Andrew, the rise and fall of cities did happen back in the day, but the way that wealth was reallocated was different. Back in the day, families making minimum wage could buy a house and live the American dream. Now a days the barriers to lift yourself out of poverty are so much higher.
I am pretty old I never remember Minimum wage people buying houses. I remember Union workers going to the suburbs buying their houses from nonunion workers that built them. Minimum wage jobs for for the kids starting out. Most people weren’t buying the first house until they were in their 30s and definitely not a minimum wage.
1. Finish high school 2. Don't have kids before you're married 3. Get a full time job If you do those 3 things you have a 98% chance to live above the poverty line in America. Minimum wage isn't the issue. It's people making bad life choices. Minimum wage jobs were never meant to be a living wage. It was meant for people just entering the job market and didn't have any skills yet.
@@deepg7084 Minimum wage was created in 1938 by FDR to make sure families could survive during the great depression. So yes, they were created to be a living wage.

Tim: When you drive 20 minutes outside of a city… Andrew in his head: Why would you ever do that?
