if they made a standee version for under a hundred bucks, i'd be all over it. the size is just absurd, especially considering the monster literally just sits in the middle of the board and rotates. great game, though. glad i have a friend who owns it. :)
I like Dark Souls for a rules lighter boss battler, especially now with the updated encounters and rules. The bosses have the same front/back/side vulnerable spot like Primal, but its full of movement that i love. I also have Aeon Trespass, which is king, but I am expecting Kingdoms Forlorn to surpass it.
Oathsworn is not only my fave boss battler, it's my fave game of all time. I'd get this one, but it looks too expensive for amount of content. I'll keep my eye out for Aeoeeoeeoeeoon's Trespass.
@1AngelAlita In the sense that you will know the story, no. There won't be any surprises, but it comes down to how you view that: For example, i have read The Lord of the Rings many times. I know all the events, but I love the story so much I enjoy re-experiencing it (same goes for the films). Also, there are 17 (very) different characters in Oathsworn. You can play through in endless combos if you were so inclined.
Ironically I backed Oathsworn and Aeons Tresspass before Primal and ended up selling my pledges to friends. This is the only one of the three that I got shipped to me. Haven't opened my copy yet.
I was very close to getting this sucker but I've got Oathsworn and have ATO otw and it IS quite expensive. I wish my friends would buy some games every once in awhile. They sure like playing them but don't like buying them because they're some broke busters. I'm the one addicted to the hobby, I guess, so I can't blame them but dang it there's too many awesome looking games that are too expensive. I need to find some rich friends I think.. and get them addicted too. Great videos guys! Thanks and keep up the stellar work!
"This is a realy good ENTRY-LEVEL boss battler".... nah. There are so many reason that speak against this imho: price, fidlyness, complexity, play time. There are much better choices for that. Townsfolk Tussle comes to my mind.
Aeon Tresspass is my all-time favourite boss battler for sure. Nothing can beat its' post-apocalyptic, greek mythology mixed with Attack on Titan vibe.
Townsfolk tussle, monster hunter world, some say Cthulhu death may die is a boss battler, same with aeons end. I love aeons end and support it being a boss battler.
Where would one buy Aeon Trespass though? This and Oathsworn (and KDM, yeah) are readily available at retail, but Aeon Trespass seems impossible to find anywhere
@@AFatalPapercut thanks for the shout, I appreciate it! I ended up getting a used copy of the core so far, but will definitely log on to see what's on offer tomorrow.
I looked at buying this from the publisher website a few days and crazy expensive… makes the original Kickstarter look cheap 😂. So yeah I’m out, does look cool though
Hi, can you elaborate on why it’s not good to play on 4 players specially on the first time? I have not played this but I’m curious. Does the game get easier with more players, or does it scale? Do you think this game is hard to beat , or do you think if experienced players are playing this, it will be too easy? Thank you!
Honestly monster hunter is an amazing alternative. The game plays just like the video game. Very fun and the loop is addictive. If you buy all the content it's probably the same price as primal. It's also divided between 2 cores so super easy to get
@MrGainify do you mean on the cards? If so I hear you. the art is kind of bland. It didn't distract from the game for me. Maybe it's because I've played the video game for so long it just looked exactly how I know it to look.
if you want to try something smaller and not that serious, Townsfolk Tussle is cool
Will add it to my wishlist /JT

It is absurd indeed, it's just a card boss battler, like Marvel Champions.
Agreed if there was a standee version, it would probably be an instant buy.
I also find the cards excessive. 1000 cards and half are 4 resp. 5 copies of each item in 3 levels!
Our group has beaten oathsworn and has just beaten cycle 2 of aeons trespass. This game is next level
Next or next level? ^_^ I am also so interested in Aeons Trespass and Oathsworn (and Monster Hunter). Just cannot have it all :P
I can understand why you think that.
I recommand KDM (Kingdom Death Monster) for the ultime experience
Can you give me an opinion on those vs this? I have oath, aeon is coming and I’m considering this.
I meant to say this game is next for us to play.
Level was autocorrected into the reply.

I have all
Of it. Almost ready to paint and can’t wait to play it with my group
I like that you thematically used two lines for 'all of it' because there's so much of this game it takes up a lot of space!
“BACK TO THE GAME BOX”
Little things like this are making you the best review channel on RUclips.
Glad you touched on the downtime. All playthroughs I've seen really make it look tough to play at anymore than 2 players, so I'm skipping it.

But Oathsworn is not replayable, is it? Once you finish campaign, you can sell it.

Are you my clone?
Oooh, fancy sharing the text on your custom player aid?
Did you guys try Kingdom Death Monster ? (KDM)
This is my favorite boss battler
Edit: Mdr 🤣🤣 I just heard the end

There is reprint campaign on gamefound, not sure if pm is open right now but should be open later on
@@dr3jk they will reopen it later on just for the sins of Herakles content, will look into that
@@mella4376 The PM reopens 11/20 (tomorrow). I'm not sure what will be offered but it's first come first served.

I need a small box version of this. I want the gameplay but I don’t care about minis
Yes
You guys should do a gloom haven review! I'd love to watch
I looked at buying this from the publisher website a few days and crazy expensive… makes the original Kickstarter look cheap 😂. So yeah I’m out, does look cool though
Just be patient. In 1-2 years plenty of copies will circle arround in second market.
True
You guys are costing me allot of money. I need 2 buy all these games. 😁 Keep up the good work, i really like your (not so long) video's.

Where can I buy this game from? I assume its quite expensive too
They are selling it on their website right now
They are selling in on their homepage. It's quite expensive, yes
One of the first games that was too much minis for me
this review came out 3 days too late
So you say that next monsters are better? 1st one I did not like
Yes, very similarly to Oathsworn the monsters are very different and you might like one much better than the next.
Monster Hunter at home

Too bad their graphic design sucks. I really wish they weren’t tied to the ip

@@jcapo5 yes correct. The damage cards are very plain looking.
Yea a cash grab I bought all of ….
