@@mandyevansartist I truly love the freedom of watercolors on at least 1/4 sheet - 11x15 inches. I have used sketchbooks (MUCH smaller) since developing health problems about 10 years ago and it is NOT as fun! It is fine for sketching... recording something, but not for really painting. At least that's what I've found. And the tiny tin palettes have no space to investigate colors. I almost never cleaned my big palettes unless I really needed the space. Plus, I used a little watercolor easel, plein air, and one of my huge plastic palettes actually hooks onto a part of the easel. It was wonderful! That's what I want to get back to!!! Getting old is NOT for sissies!!!
I am playing with acrylics right now, but this ability to keep paint is one reason why my very favorite is watercolors!!!
me too - I keep trying to get back to acrylic but go back to watercolours all the time
