- Youth and adults of the Huntington Beach and Murrieta, California Stakes experienced the Old Testament like never before during a historic Tabernacle Youth Camp and public Open House. The Youth Camp was from August 4-6th, and the Open House was held from August 8-11th, 20016.

it was truly an amazing spiritual experience. It helped me understand more of the sacredness of the tabernacle. It helped make us more appreciative that we have so many temples and that transportation is so flexible for us all. Our spiritual covenants should always be our first priority in these the latter days.
Did you know that we experience this every day as the Holy Spirit teaches us to relate to Yeshua and the Father? The easiest way is to listen to His voice every moment and be filled with the Holy Spirit

I thought about that day when only the ONE TRUE GOD will be worshipped and not all these pagan dieties. Believe me I wanted to chuck all those books away except for the Christianity book. Lol.

This is amazing and glorious. I need this camp to arrange in Thailand too, I want our youth and YSA to learn about the temple before we have the real temple in Thailand.
Mallawee, sadly the cost to transport the Tabernacle to Thailand would be very expensive. This is not a church wide program, but just a local Stake that hosted it. That said, there is a lot you can do still to replicate the concept in your area. For example, instead of doing real walls, you can use fabric for the main structure (such as this video: ruclips.net/video/kbtXWuovG38/видео.html), or you can also do a smaller scale, only building the main furniture and having rooms of your chapel that act as the three main areas. I hope this eventually becomes more widely used in the church, but it is quite an undertaking for a project like this one. A simpler version is very doable. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help with what I can. Exciting that you are getting a temple!

I love the idea of breaking groups into tribes. I think it would even be neat if you found yourself in the tribe of either your choice or especially if it was the one you received during your Patriarchal Blessing.

I’ll make an advertisement VDO to invite the neighbors and I’ll send it to you for sure. We make it inside our church in the biggest room. Make it to a tabernacle and builder up all in actual size. But we can’t make the high priest garments to show so we use the pictures instead. The activity start on Dec 21. I hope it would be good.

One small correction to point out. Moses' Tabernacle was NOT the first mobile dwelling for God. Adam was!!! After the Fall , God manifested outside of man in temples made with hands until the blood of Jesus Christ cleansed OUR house again and the true original mobile Tabernacle of God ... US...was rededicated on The Day of Pentecost!!!

That is a great thing you provided one thing I might mention when you set up camp put the tents either north ,south, east, or west not north west, or north east , that is how the children of Israel did it from an Ariel view it makes a cross shape. Just a little something to research

And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: *How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.* For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that *the patterns of things in the heavens* should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. *For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself,* now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: *but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.* And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. And *the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament:* and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. Revelation 11, 19

How different is this from mindset "yeah catch me outside". How could society be so empty and go so low in our days?
It seems cool but there's a part of me that finds it disrespectful. How would we feel if someone turned our temple ceremony into an interactive costume drama?
Yes, that is a possibility with all of this. We have had several Jewish groups come through, and the response has been very positive, and they have appreciated what we are doing. I have not heard any negative response as of yet from any Jewish group. I have one very active Jewish friend (who will likely become a Rabbi in the near future) who believes that what we are doing is inspired by God and completely supports it. That said, I know that very orthodox Jews would find it disrespectful, but they also don't appreciate that as Christians we take any of their beliefs and use them as part of Christian doctrine (such as Christ being the Messiah, and the Lamb of God), so hard to please them in the first place. It is a hard line, and something we had to wrestle with. It has been an incredible experience for the youth, and we have tried to be very respectful with everything we do. We do no do re-enactments for the kids, and ask them to be very respectful. Many have commented on how special of an experience it has been, and that the place felt sacred. I do agree, it could be seen as disrespectful, but I think overall the response has been very well received, and people have come away with a better appreciation for the sacred history of the Jewish and Israelite people. I have had many people come up and say, because of this one experience, they want to read the Old Testament, and better understand the Law of Moses and Jewish culture and history. My opinion (for what it is worth) is we as a church will never please everyone, and there will always be someone that finds what we do disrespectful, but we still must try and teach our youth to appreciate the ancient history of the Bible, and this is perhaps one of the best ways to do it.
