FYI, Android allows you to boot into safe mode by holding the "power off" option. No apps will appear, and you can uninstall any app without it being able to do anything.

AVG (good antivirus): deletes Elite but does not save it
Avast (another good antivirus that sells people's information): tries to delete Elite but does not delete it
Norton (the bad one): BASICALLY DELETES ELITE
Norton didint save it no ANTIVIRUS can because the virus does it in less than a few seconds and all stuff deleted and he gets money for sending messages to his number that when you message It YES Or whatever than it costs money :(

Bluestacks has both fakeGPS and PoGo as top apps on their client. Mostly because people like cheating, it's not really their fault.

Not sure why AVG didn't work the second time, but pretty sure AVG scans only the installed apk and apps can't update their apk files by themselves. (Though it's possible AVG was given access to some kind of usage history and noticed it was doing something strange)

Hey Dan! You could test to see if the malware has learning capabilities by scanning the machine twice with the same anti-virus. I wager during your preliminary testing you scanned Elite with AVG, then when you scanned it again while recording the malware avoided AVG's scan entirely. You should try this out with Norton and Avast too, just to see if Elite actually learns (or to prove AVG is really just garbage lol)
Even when you said it was uninstalled and the damage was done, you could still see the Elite Loading screen at the launch of apps.

I made a program in Python, that says it can compress your data, so it's smaller, but it encrypts the data with base16 encryption, it can encrypt directorys (ignores subdirs) and files, also I've made a decrypter, does that count as... kind of ransomware?

In the small text at the bottom of the advertisements they usually state "fair use" policy, and list how much hours you can call for and how much you can text. The usual fair use (From what I have seen) is 4,500 minutes of calls, and 5,000 texts a month (This can vary between provider and country), and so, it won't go forever.
no, mosy companies shut you off if you start using an insane amount of data, text ando minutes. like if it's 2000 texts in a 30 minute period your phone company will probably shut you off and you'd have to call

It is very bloated, it can cause issues with the operating system, and it has a below average detection rate (Even compared to the free-antivirus software such as Comodo, while you need to pay for every edition of Norton)

What makes it bad?
Norton is actually pretty good. Its main issue used to be really high cpu usage. They fixed that a few years ago. Right now it just picks up a shitton of false positives.
Kazuto The Otaku Dude, It's been years since I used it. All I'll say is that sometimes it doesn't pickup any threats when Malwarebytes, which I'm using right now, picks up a lot. I won't say don't use Norton, but if you have it, you should consider doubling up on your anti-virus. It might be better to google the differences between certain anti-virus programs to see what would fit your needs best. It really depends on how often your device is used and what you use it for.

All Things Of Tech I'll have to see on one of my systems. If I recall correctly, in Windows 7 each screen keeps the start button, but I'm not sure. Maybe it's just a screen recording issue but I doubt that's the problem.

Avast is still successful because on an actual Android device, it's fairly easy to access the device administrators menu.

Norton actually solved something? Now I'm worried, the last laptop I bought came with it preinstalled. Norton actually managed to cancel the uninstallation process 4 times when trying to get rid of it.
The "device administration settings" Is not a part of AVG or Norton, so you could disable the administration rights from the settings and remove it then

Why don't you update to Windows 10? It's extremely stable now. Considering its been available for over a year and has had multiple major updates. (You can disable the controversial privacy stuff through the Settings & Powershell if you're really concerned about that)

Sir you werent even using an actual android device, you were running bluestacks which is only a program that allows you to run android programs and apps. It doesnt half even 1/10 of what a normal android OS has, it only allows you to use apps and change settings. And the only reason you like IOS better is because you are more used to IOS instead of Android. Android is so much more customizable and has many different versions of android such as Lollipop, Kitkat, etc. which all have different features. You can add themes which include app packs (changes the look of icons), special wallpapers, different text fonts, and more. To be honest Android is more open and lets users expirement with a lot of settings, rooting (which is called jailbreaking in ios terms) is so much easier to do, the only reason your phone isnt rooted when you first get it is because it messes with a couple security settings which breaks your warrenty.

Wait how does elite get administrator access if your device isn't rooted (I assume the VM used fot this test is based on an average users device which is not rooted meaning externally installed apps don't have administrator access and can't get it)
It gets semi-admin privileges like changing critical system settings. Device administrators on android can do stuff like wipe the phone.
I can't seem to set up any of my Android virtual machines. After i install them, they work for about a minute, then they go through setup again. I could use Bluestacks for a stripped down android machine, but *BOY IS IT A MEMORY HOG* it takes 2 GB out of my 4 GB RAM (All my available RAM) just to play a basic game (example: hill climb racing, clash royale) but it still lags.
Plus, the site i got my Android .iso files from was taken down

+jipjups Sorry North, but this is honest true Android. The functionality you (jipjups) are asking about is missing because the Google App Engine is not included in Bluestacks by default, and that is what contains Google's security definitions.

OWWOWOWOWOW first you used bluestack which does not show permissions before installing and then who installs a app that can send sms when the suposed objective is only a "child protect app", also activate system administrator without a good reason is pretty stupid (it did no show the list of permissions)

But in that case (as far as i know) that love letter virus was some kind of security breach in this case it is very well explained what are the permissions and what activating device administrator does, so yea, some people may fall in this but it would be like 1/100 of the ones that fall on the love letter

Well I downloaded a ton of viruses on a Windows XP VM, and Avast! worked the best. Malwarebytes was blocked by one of the viruses, as was AVG.
Malware bytes and ESET. ESET is not free but you can torrent it.

avast couldnt remove it because it is device administrator. That needs to be undone first in settings and then it can even be uninstalled manually.

Why is iOS better at doing all the "basic smarphone stuff?" Most Android users would disagree.
Not all iPhone apps look better than their Android counterparts since some people like material design better than the design language on iOS. It's odd you mention google's apps on iPhone because they use material design, which would mean that material design is better than material design? In addition, some apps' UIs are platform independent in their appearance.
The reason they run better on iPhone is because there are fewer models. There are downsides to this in that if you don't like the latest iPhone and the features it took away, too bad. Use an older one. One Android, there are more devices to choose from to fit your needs and wants.
Apple's support is better in that they still support updates, but then again those updates are not improvements to older devices such as the iPhone 5s since they lower the clock speed in order to keep the battery life about the same while handling new features unless you don't mind that.
The Nexus 7 was released around the same time as the iPhone 5s. The last update by Google was Marshmallow, but you said Android, the OS, rather than the manufacturer. You can get the latest updates if you want on Android using a rom, which would be much harder on an iPhone from what I can see. I wouldn't recommend it, however, because of the downsides of updating an older phone with a newer OS.
I recently switched to iOS, and it's sooo much better. Everything syncs so well in the Apple ecosystem. With my Android phone, Chrome and other Android.system processes would crash, and it would take forever for things to load. iOS is superior in every way.

On android you can see the autorisation of the app on android 6 you have to accepte them so i think you can put no every where and it dose nothing ?
You can modify device administrators from the settings without antivirus also then go into apps and uninstall.
