The hydraulics are only loud during certain phases of flight, and only in a certain area, everywhere else is quiet. Also my Camera is sensitive to sound, so it is slightly louder on here, than it is if you are actually sat there. I have a few more videos of the 787 from different seats and you will see what the noise difference is.
oh my god the noise seems SO LOUD, I keep hearing this baout 787 and was curious to see if it is true, "this is whaT I have bene hearing "By far and away the biggest issue for me however, was something not related to seat comfort. Right from the moment the tug started pushing the plane back until we were airborne with flaps fully retracted, there was this excruciating whine percolating throughout my area of the cabin. I had to put my fingers in my ears at one point to get some respite from the noise! I suspect it had something to do with the flap hydraulic systems, because the same noise started again when the flaps were extended for landing and didn't stop until retracted again at the terminal."
Awesome video; thanks for sharing! What airline was this on? I've seen 787 videos on RUclips before, and it seems like the hydraulics on the 787 are really loud-at least, that's what I've been told that's what that high pitch noise is.
