The Judi Dench clubbing clip is quite literally one of my favourite moments that’s ever happened on TV. It’s just perfect from the way she reacts and appears to genuinely not remember it until reminded, to Graham calling her out on it and then Elton John interjecting every now and again. It’s utterly brilliant. I bet comedy writers only dream of writing a scene like that!
It reminds me very much of my mom, who frequently forgets if she’s been somewhere or seen a movie before; 3 seconds of utter confusion and bewilderment, followed by ‘oh that’s right!’
It's super sad to see early onset dementia like that played for laughs
It's up there with Gerard Butler and his stalker reminding him on the time he wore a kilt on the red carpet :D
@@JoelNetz God yes she was absolutely A FULL BLOWN STALKER.. she knew stuff he didn't..THAT is very worrying..but I honestly feel Gerard Butler can 'look after himself '..
@@videoaccount4323 She doesn’t have dementia, what on earth are you talking about?! If you need proof, just watch her VERY RECENT interview with Louis Theroux. She’s absolutely with it and as quick witted as ever. She’s just an elderly lady who’s had a very busy and very eventful life! She probably went to the concert, not realising that Heaven was a nightclub as she wasn’t there to club but to see Cher! (Plus someone who really had dementia wouldn’t remember it happening, even with prompts, and certainly wouldn’t remember the minute details of it aka she went into the club via the back door.) She also wouldn’t be able to remember scripts etc. In fact in that interview, she even says the only part of her that’s failing her is her body! I agree that someone with dementia shouldn’t be the butt of a joke, but you’re getting upset about a nonexistent issue here.
Also, I’m in my early 30’s and frequently forget I’ve been places. Just as the first comment on my comment is about someone forgetting she’s been somewhere until reminded. There is a thing called forgetfulness. Just because she’s in her 80’s does not equate dementia.
"They took us in through the back door."
"Wouldn't they." Still one of the most brilliant comebacks I've ever heard.
lol poor Judi, I honestly don't think she understood the reference.
@YellowMeadow Spirituelle oh get over yourself, I absolutely love Dame Judi.
@YellowMeadow Spirituelle Oh dear, the woke cavalry has arrived.
@@upturnedblousecollar5811 I don't think you can call anything and everything "woke". Yeah, she might have misjudged the comment but it still her opinion nonetheless...
@@TonyEnglandUK Lol nah, she understood everything just fine)
Miriam’s “Cream in my knickers” moment (Matthew Perry’s face) will be forever iconic 😂 and has to be in Part 2
"Cream my knickers"
That, and her comment to Daniel Radcliffe that 20 years after HARRY POTTER first started filming, that 'you're balls have dropped!'
Right?? His face is 𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴, he was NOT expecting that 😂😂😂
Poor Matthew Perry
This episode with Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Hugh Bonnevile was GOLDEN
Best one ever
They were drunk as newts.
The wooly jumper 😂
Graham is a national treasure!
His sense of humour and a great personality are out of this world! We are so blessed to have him!!! 🧡
You know he's Irish yeah?
International treasure. Love him! Form Brazil 😁
International treasure! Love from Buffalo, NY USA 🇺🇸 ❤️!
yes, we Irish are very proud of him!!
International, indeed! Love from Hungary! ❤
Graham Norton is by far the best talk show that’s ever existed, he doesn’t make a single guest uncomfortable and it’s always a great laugh
So many great moments are missing, some of my favs include Chris O'Dowd eating that big fly, his story about his wife meeting Brad Pitt and stealing Bradley Cooper's cutlery. Stanley Tucci absolutely losing it over misspelled menus. Sam Jackson's cheerleading story, Rosamund Pike going on a blind date because Dame Judi Dench told her to, multiple Jamie Foxx stories, Emma Stone being pranked. The list goes on.
Great show!
Oh my goodness, yes, the fly!!! I agree with all of your choices too!
Also Lee Mack’s Butlins story was hilarious.
All of Greg Davies stories as well
Robbie Williams staying at the Castle was a great bit too.
Greg Davies "Mothers Drawers" story. Charlie Hunnams Red Chair Story. You are right, the list goes on and on. Greatest talkshow on air tbh.
This could easily be an hour long and there'd still be clips missing. I am however a bit disappointed that there was no Richard Ayoade, Pengwings, Lesley Manvilles 'Cherry Orchard', Miriam Escobar etc.
Oh yeah "Pengwings" should have been there. We need a part 2
the Miriam Escobar was hilarious! 😂
The legendary drunken trio of Matt, Bill, and Hugh aren't there too lol. Though to be fair it's not possible to keep their gradual descent to madness short.
You’re so right! Such a good show 😂
not to forget Lady Glenconner's hotel story and the couch's reaction to that lol
It's so nice to see Robin Williams!
Can we take a moment to appreciate Tom Hiddleston’s impersonation of Graham? The ragged movements and the tone are quite impeccable, it was amazing. Love Graham and his show, he’s truly the best ❤ guests seem to really enjoy themselves when they’re there!
As an American, I absolutely love how people can be themselves, have a drink, and laugh at themselves while with Graham (and use language that is censored here). He's a brilliant showman and it's clear he loves what he does - razor wit, moon landing timing, and pure cadence with the audience AND the guests. It's simply pure talent - the Muhammad Ali of interviewers. Stick and move and be ready with an uppercut to get an amazing laugh. The best of the best!
My two favorite ones is Greg Davies telling his hung over story with hearing impaired kids (Partly b/c Russel Crow looks so board and uninterested but by the end cry laughing with all of us)
and CSI fly....by far the most epic moment ^.^
That's a great clip but I love Ryan Gosling's reaction.
Greg Davies' story must have been too long for this compilation, so it must continue to be appreciated on it's own.
yep just too many to list, but CSI fly is THE best clip of all time.
Ryan Gosling was laughing so hard I thought he was going to die. Love Bill Murray and Hugh Bonneville and the red Lippy. Had never heard that term either.
Graham's show is also a very important time capsule of wonderful people no longer with us, Robin Williams for one, sadly missed and thankfully his genius is preserved forever more in so many different formats. Love this show so much. Congratulations Graham, the recognition of your skill and talent is completely deserved.
ending it with matt damon saying that is just amazing. this will always be that.
i hope graham keeps doing this for at least another 20 years 🥺😭 an international treasure, and the greatest chat show host on the planet.
sure he's irish, 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the last clip of Matt Damon and that whole episode is one of the most iconic moments for sure!
Must be satisfying to be able to write “Television’s Favourite Talk Show” and have it actually be true.
I’d add “Undisputed Best Chat Show in History - Past, Present, and Future”
It takes a maverick and a true master and genius.
Bravo, Graham.
Hurrah, Hurrah, Hurrah.
He truly is the best.
Agreed. The one who even comes close is Craig Ferguson.
@@AllUpOns You’re out of your mind.
The fact that you think Craig Ferguson or any host of an American talk show is even close to Graham Norton’s level clearly indicates to me that you don’t actually understand why Graham Norton is the best out of all of them.
Matt Damon is a lovely man.. and he is damn right..that's why all the big stars are on Graham's show ..they have such a fun time they love coming back..
Congratulations to Graham on 500 episodes. I live in America and I've been a fan for years now. I had been watching him on the internet woefully behind (sometimes years). We found out this past year that Graham is now available stateside on AMC+. Bought a subscription just for his show. We get them a week behind, but until I can make it to the U.K. to see him in person, I'm happy to be able to keep up with him regularly and more or less timely. To many more years of greatness. Salute! 🍷
Graham is the best talk-show entertainer ever. He is honest , witty (not in a smug but rather cheerful way), funny and most hospitable. He has this charming way of making his guests feel so comfortable they start blabbering no matter how awkward or embarrassing their stories are..
Shout out to Graham from a big fan here in Yemen.
Shout out also to Robin Williams "May Allah Rest your soul in Peace"
Truly the only talk show that never fails me, I always watch even if I don't know the guests cause it's like tuning in to a nice friendly gathering. Graham Norton is a true treasure ❤
If I could add one more clip it would be when Jack Whitehall guest hosted and a woman in the red chair told a story about a rude celebrity that turned out to be him. Absolute classic.
I'm glad to know The Graham Norton show has reached 500 episodes, which gets me amazed, and to be frank, it's become one of the best talk shows I've ever seen. On the other hand, I couldn't avoid getting emotional when I saw Robin Williams. To sum up, I'd love to say; "congratulations Graham for inviting the greatest celebrities on the Earth"
Graham Norton is a brillant interviewer and actually let's his guest talk ! and his show as giving us loads of golden moments 😊😊
I love the moment when Graham and Chaning Tatum dance and Graham giggle he s so cut
Graham Norton is next level! Best talk show host of all time. Love from South Africa!
Rip Robin Williams. Really nice guy and great actor.
Such a tragedy.
@@upturnedblousecollar5811 indeed
Ed Sheeran’s childhood mate being in the red chair.
Matt Smiths doppelgänger in the red chair.
🤣
Robin Williams was wonderful. How he is missed.
Best chat show ever! I wish our shows in the US were as good as this.
Hoping for another 500 episodes.
You can tell Graham’s staff enjoyed the rain
7:23 Lewis Capaldi is sitting on the couch with one of the funniest men of all time and he made him genuinely crack up. 🤣🤣
Also, Matt Damon might’ve been drunk. But he’s right: “…the most fun I’ve ever had on a talk show.”
Those shows are always so heartwarming! To hear those stories, frienlldy banter and laughter - it makes me thinks that all those wonderful people are my friends, even if for a little bit.
I started watching the complete episodes of graham on youtube (back when they had the full episodes) back in 2008 after a day of high school in New York. No other talk show will ever compete with how amazing The Graham Norton Show is! Having multiple people on the couch at the same time and have them liquored up is by far the greatest concept for a tv talk show. Can't wait for another 500 episodes! And if I'm lucky, hopefully one day, I'll end up on the red couch.
This is indeed the best talk show on TV
Graham is such a beautiful human! Love him so much!!
Holy shit, have 500 episodes of this show really aired??? HERE’S TO 500 MORE GRAHAM!!!!!!!
This should have been an hour long. So many years of good entertainment. And that's from an American
Best one is Judi Dench's Clubbing 😂❤ I always watch that video in RUclips
He always has such great guests on.
sad that iconic Greg Davies story wasn't on this list. We demand a Part II!
Russell Crowe putting his drinks order in before the show, then taking control of the red chair lever is some of my favourite clips... might have to go see if they're on RUclips somewhere
This is the best show ever.
Matt Damon saying that is so iconic
I think everytime Miriam appeared is classic golden and iconic
The Red Chair story with Aileen is great !
My brother met him in a bar and said he was a really nice guy , very friendly and buying everyone drinks , unlike a lot of celebs ...
When I saw the video with Robin Williams it instantaneously made me laugh and cry at the same time. He was remarkable. He died on my birthday.
I can't tell you how many times this show got me out of a dark place. I might be American, but I love me some Graham!!💜🏳️🌈
Congratulations for 500 shows. I´m happy to see in this clips my two favourite guests, Miriam Margolyes and Greg Davis.
Same, they are the funniest
Brit Telly is experiencing a case of the 500's Graham here and Richard Osman's House of Games just had their 500th show. Congrats on some of the best telly on the planet.
Congratulation Graham , and thanks for many great moments , love from Denmark !
Graham is such a treasure! Anyone notice how often Jennifer Saunders is in these clips? :)
That's because she's a treasure as well.
My favourite talk show, love you Graham! 😂❤️
We need a whole series of this !
Thank you for sharing the laughter with us. We needed this lightness 💖
Saw all of these about 100 times, but still laugh about them. Best Talk Show ever! :D
No Murray, Damon, Bonneville? No Cumberbatch's pengwings? No, drunk Marky Mark? M.M soldier story or tree story or period story? Shame. Love you guysssss
I don't remember how many times I have watched "the Channing Tatum moments". I melt everytime listening to "meusic please"🤤
Finest Talk Show Ever. Graham Norton Show is a greatest guidebook on the art of interviewing and creating fun show.
Jim Carrey loving Lewis Capaldi is what I need in life
Elijah & Robin will always be my favourite episode
A part 2 please!
Lewis Capaldi is hilarious.
@@ActuallyJamesS one vid but not all of it!
I love the clip with Lewis, he is adorable and quite funny.
I'm still waiting for Stephen Colbert to visit England and get the chance to be on Graham's show after his visits a few years ago to THE LATE SHOW. Just imagine the welcome Graham would plan for him!!
Robin Williams was such an amazing actor!
🎵... and I could watch 500 more🎵
Loved every second. Please show re-runs of all your shows. They are brilliant, and we love you ❤
God, we miss you Robin R.I.P mate, 😪
Can't believe you didn't include Mark Ruffalo burning Josh Widdicombe.
Although I'm not surprised Robbie Williams' morning glory story was omitted. The BBC seems to be in denial of that story.
you should’ve included the moment where the chair broke, and the moment with the fly!!! also carlton banks doing the dance, the audience doing the friend’s themesong clap, and some of the infamous monologue moments!!!!
I love The Graham Norton Show, I was hoping for an Olivia Colman clip 'cause she's always one of the best guest.
Congratulations on 500 episodes!
I think Graham would make a great Doctor Who or companion in the future he would be amazing! 😀
I absolutely love the shows! Past and present.!
Thanks, for posting
I mean ... the first bit ... is the best begining of any show ever, from anywhere on the planet of any given time in history past present of in the freaking future!!!
Lewis is a total peach! What a treasure he is.
LOVE this human being with all my heart.💋
The episodes with Anthony Josua and Greg Davies ❤❤
Miriam Margolyes meeting Will.i.a.m has to be in part 2 if you do one.
Elton John. Miriam Margoles. Judy Dench. But Robin Williams broke my heart.
Tom Hiddleston doing a poor impression of Robert De Niro in front of Robert De Niro remains one of the cringeworthy TV moments ever
I'm with you buddy.
He loves the attention doesn't he, bless him 🙄
De Niro giving a performance of a lifetime by pretending to find it funny
I knew I wasn’t the only one who found it soooo cringeworthy!!!
I love it
Cheers to 500 episodes more full of laughter!🤩😂
I always rally behind the Seth McFarlane "cool Whipp" line from Family Guy and all the impressions. Just one of the most talented guys on the planet
Congrats!!! Kisses from Brazil.
The girl in the chair who started over articulate for Zach Braff made me laugh out loud in the room. So simple and yet so funny.
Best Talk Show program ever!!
Graham, we love you - nuf said.
anytime that Miriam was on the show, was Hilarious !! love her
As long as our band hasn't been there, there is no way that this is the best show. And that's fact.
Like the show very much, was thinking about the Dame Edna show somehow comes to mind! Also great!
The King. Manages to get notoriously reluctant performers to appear multiple times.
Glad this ended with Matt Damon. He really is fantastic everytime that he's on the show. He and Graham have great comedic chemistry and you can tell that he's genuinely enjoying himself.
Over 1 whole second per episode, sounds very comprehensive indeed.
My favourite show ❤️
Love Graham Norton show so much.
Genius “oh, the cameras were not rolling for that take”
fr fr the best talk show ever!
Wow congratulations Graham ❤️ & Robin Williams ❤️
