Raw cat is the go to guy if you care about sound quality. I actually bought the 6 12 as soon as I found out it existed on his channel. I had an Alpine optim6 on the way from Amazon and I canceled the order when I saw this. This is hands down the best DSP you can get for the money. You would spend at least twice as much to get the same level of capability somewhere else. This one is an absolute win in my opinion.
The Taramps smart 8k needs a DSP too because the LPF starts at 90hz on the amplifier and a person will have to assume that that adjustments are correct. A DSP will show the exact hz frequencies being used.
Breaking YT protocol with a 2nd comment... repeating a previous request, we need an affordable for the DIY installer (@$199 option) for a D4S RTA complete set-up, IMO. We can 'hack job' one for under $100 but need a QUALITY/PROFESSIONAL one for everyone and that kinda is the position of D4S (the "everyone", "every install" brand, IMO). I do ONLY Kicker, Hertz, Morel, & D4S... currently designing for late 20204. Cheap (not that good in terms of interface) RTA set-ups are available on eBay for @$300... the software is the expensive part. With D4S's volume... $199 should be doable. A RTA/EZY-DSP612 Combo Package... FIREWORKS, JS!!!
When is the controller coming for the EZY-DSP 6/12 ? I use a DAP as my music source straight to DSP. You have a great product ,but I need full control of the DSP. I emailed your company ,but you don't have an ETA for it. 🤷♂
You can learn it. You have been using the basics already anyway. I would recommend a DSP to anyone. It will bring your system to life and make it more electronically efficient. The parametric eq is similar to a bass processor only with up to 31 bands available and you can do the same with the rest of your system. You can even use the DSP without using a head unit.
Hey jp what do u suggest the best setting for ur hexicone neo 6.5 considering the wide range of frequency would full or hp be best suited for best performance
Yes. If you are using for subs only you might be getting way more than you need. I would recommend the d4s one if you ever plan to expand but a cheaper one with at least 15 band parametric eq will give you most of what you get from the d4s one. Maybe consider a DSP amp to run the non amplified speakers for full control.
Why take out crossovers on the amp and need a separate unit? Or is that amp made for people who prefer a dsp? I have a eq in between my head unit and amplifiers and only positive I see is stereo mapping and controlling each zone individually.
AKG, here's why (it also applies to a degree on why some higher end amps do not use internal fusing)... for clients/customers of higher price-tag products or higher quality, it is expected/assumed that they will be employing a quality external DSP. Every option/feature added into the amp itself potentially does 3 things: 1)Reduces the power efficiency of the amplifier 2)Adds noise into the signal of the amplifier (Output Stage of course) 3)Adds more internal components within the amplifier which can GENERATE HEAT within the chassis, lead to mechanical failures (mostly through user error) These things are "amplified" when using AB amplifiers, which are more for SQ or SQL where audio quality & any additional noise or internal inefficiencies can degrade the output signal. If only using Class D amps, an external electronic crossover is a safe bet, like using and pre-amp external fuse (everyone should do the fuse thing for every amp, not just at the battery). However, every electronical component added into a system WILL add distortion/degradation of the signal from the source unit to the actual speaker. Resistance load & electromagnetic interference in signal transfer cannot be 100% mitigated or done away with :)
Btw, I have an ol' school (the red/white, 2nd or 3rd Gen) Kicker Impulse 3-Way external crossover sitting not 6 ft. away from me here in my bedroom. I'm a retro guy but like women, they do have their place (external crossovers). [I might get a YT suspension for that joke].
Great shutout to RAw-CAt, that dude is awesome. Well done JP.
everyone should have a DSP - Helix for the win

Bro I just passed you on I 65 saw you sitting in traffic while I was on southbound. Wish I coulda got to meet ya!!
I watched the Rawcat videos. He definitely goes into depth on his testing and explanations.
Bro u guys just coming out with everything !! Keep doing what u do ur changing the game and lacing us all up with need to know
He is dominating the car audio scene imo..sooo many great products!
That video makes it super easy to do setup programming.
I want to order this so badly!!! But i really need a controller. Can you make an update video with an ETA?
Raw car is the reason I bought the 12 channel dsp

Might test those Raw Cat vids on my 3yo 😉😂
ooo perfect timing
Funny thing I installed my DSP68 and realize I maxed it out and now I wish I got the DSP612

Floating dsp is even better way more headroom

I hope the bigger dsp has a sound field processor option ❤
When are we getting a controller for the 612? 🤤
Great products. I need a 20 channel. How big are you going on the ones coming out? Thanks man
Ive never ran one before..never been confident enough to tune one lol

You don’t have to use all 31 bands at first. You can make a great sounding system off 3 bands
You offer so many colors for your amps... you know a matching DSP would be the bee's knees. Any chance of having matching colors for the DSP's?
First comment lol #CUSTARD310 Great products keep up the great work

Do you guys do installs or know anyone in Southern California who can do full system installs and tune dsps?
👍👍
Will there be a DSP with a Hi level input to retain factory head units in the future?
I own a DSP, whenever i hook it up i blow speakers.im 44, ill just use the amp crossovers on the jp84
If a head unit has a very weak preamp out voltage, like a 2v or less, will a DSP increase the voltage going to the amp?
Of course
Can u use one for just bass I don’t have mid and high amp?

Only gotta use 1 power/grounds right? 😅😂😢
Do I have to use all my power and ground inputs with it? 😂 Just kidding. I'm gon' stop now.
Nice lol😅
JP you guys are doing a terrible job with customers from the Caribbean zero ratings from me for only trying to support your company
