What I meant with the whole “liking characters instead because of what they do instead of how they look” thing is simply that I noticed it was more a thing when I was younger (which was 15 years ago, for your information), I’m not saying every single child thought the same, so if you experienced it differently then duh that’s possible. I simply talked about my experience and what I saw around me. People are making it about race again (it’s what the internet’s good at) but I never said there shouldn’t be representation, I never said people shouldn’t look at looks. But I do mean it when I say that I think anyone can look up to anyone for any reason (INCLUDING looks). But what I meant is that I think a little girl in a wheelchair shouldn’t think she can’t be like bloom because bloom isn’t in a wheelchair. That a little boy can’t think he shouldn’t get a Flora doll because Flora isn’t a boy. I didn’t look like Layla because I wasn’t a cool teenager with beautiful hair. I was a little asmatic 8 year old that was too afraid to talk to people.
