Her hair is beautiful. Prenatal vitamins also help hair growth too. I remember in my pregger days taking prenatal vitamins, my hair was so long and thick. I had thick edges too. But, later on in life diets changed, and now it's growing back using good black owned products and putting a few oils together on my own: black seed oil, clover oil, olive oil, peppermint oil, biotin oil, grape seed oil, avocado oil, chebe powder/ oil, rosemary oil, eucalyptus oil, lemongrass oil, jojoba oil, and batana oil.
Do you think that It was the actual vitamins that made your hair thick and long? Or was it the pregnancy hormones and the extra blood flow in your body that made it grow? Just asking
@watchmethrive1 I believe all of that. Although I mentioned prenatal vitamins, the pregnancy hormones included. However, before I was taking the vitamins, the hair growth was not moving as fast. Everybody is different when pregnant. . 😉
I have a faithful follower of yours for years now and it is absolutely amazing how long and beautiful your hair has grown. I have suffered from so many setbacks, then one day I decided to go back to the basics and take out some time to learn my hair, my diet, my habits etc. once I mastered that, it was on and popping. Now I have a simple regimen; I actually wear crochet braids and aI wash my hair once every week. I pre-poo my scalp with coconut oil and then use Creme of Nature shampoo on scalp only rinse and seal with a leave-in conditioner, tea tree cream and Blue Magic or Softee Indian Hemp hair grease from the Dollar Tree lol. I spray my scalp twice a week with braid spray and my hair is growing like crazy now. Thank you for your videos I love love them all.💞💞💞💞
I get you Temi! Slip - after application of conditioner, those fangas BETTA moonwalk through the hair strands!!! AND you comin' thru with the reasonably prices products! Process over products for Me!
Thank you for the tips. Your hair is gorgeous. I don't care for straight hair styles, so no need for heat for me. I'm 3 yrs, 4 months natural & my hair is thriving. I'm wearing twists all Spring because the rain is coming. My hope is to maximize growth this spring. 😊
Thank you! If you do a second view, can you please share how you wash and style your hair? I am a teacher and I am always looking for ways to style my hair for work and keep my natural hair healthy. 😊
So this is you. I’ve been saving your pictures on Pinterest for inspiration. I love the ones with your hair in it’s curly state. Unfortunately I see some online hair brands using your photos to advertise natural hair weaves and wigs. Some Chinese companies.
The African pride pre poo is 🔥🔥 I normally use aloe vera gel straight from the leaf but sometimes it’s not always available at my local grocery stores. Having the pre poo there and a little goes a long way makes it so convenient
Your hair is so gorgeous!!! I’m only a year into my intentional hair growth journey, but I do most of the things you’ve suggested, which is affirming! I will say even tho I try to avoid retwisting every night, it has been hard to avoid for me. My hair is thick but fine, so any time it gets wet it loosens my twist to the point the unravel. Any tips for navigating around this? I have to moisturize pretty regularly for scalp health
I have the same issue! I was thinking to start pinning mine down with Bobby pins. So slightly stretch the twist without too much tension then pin it down. I’d take care removing the clips.
You could try braiding the sections instead or since water elongates and stretches your curls out, you don't have to wash in twists, just be careful to concentrate on your scalp and hold your hair(the tips) out so your hair doesn't tangle. I don't know if that makes sense 😅
Love your video. I think I got breakage from parting my hair as well. I have short pieces really close to my part. Could you do a video on the way you wrap your head wraps like in this video? I wonder if it’s a way to do the updos like this without having to put my hair in a ponytail and risk breakage from that.
Omg I use African pride products too 😭😭 and I don’t wear wigs or other styles besides twist outs and braids and my hair is now curly while wet with water and the longest ever
I just cut my locs off after 13 years and it was the best decision I could’ve ever made. I now have to re-learn how to care for my 4b/c hair. Happy hair journey to you all!
Also, coming to agree with the no relaxers. My mom is what you would consider mixed and had butt length as a child she got her hair license at 19 and was an active licensed hairstylist that correctly used relaxers on my twin sister and I's hair until we finished high school. My mom did our hair every week. My twin sister and I went natural and she commented how out hair was naturally longer now than when she cared for it and we didn't take care of our hair well at all. I still don't. When we were in high school her hair was about bra strength length and I asked her if she would intentionally cut her hair that length. She didn't that is just the max it would grow with relaxers. She stopped relaxing and she is back to butt length. Nothing changed about her styling her hair when she went natural from relaxers. Her curls can't withstand with the weight of her hair even as a natural so she stills just blow dries it and straightens her hair every two weeks.
Thank you for this video, I began my natural hair journey a year ago and this video is the best. I like how you explained everything coz I used to pull my hair a lot when combing.💖
1:43 when you said ooo wee I thought you were going to say you need to change the batteries in your smoke detector 😂😂 In all seriousness, thanks for the tips! You’re so gorgeous and you look so joyful 😊
In my country each of the products that you've mentioned is soooo expensive in my country. I'll love to get all those products that you've mentioned I have natural hair as well.
Beautiful. Everyone that I've seen with long natural hair is very slim. I wonder if being obese can hinder hair growth. I am overweight, but have been natural for 10 years. Never able to go past APL.
I’m overweight and my hair is tailbone length. But it is better to lose weight because your overall health does effect your hair. If your having a hard time growing your hair, you should eat more veggies and fruit in your diet. 😊
What you eat affects hair growth just watch your diet and also Google foods that help with healthy hair growth and increase intake of those foods. Am overweight too and currently working on my weight
Hi Queen, the MielleOrganics pomegranate you’re holding in your hand is that are older bottle? because I use the pomegranate and it’s a pump not a squeeze bottle. Thank you ❤
New subscriber here, thank you so much for this video. How often do you wash your hair? I tend to go a pretty long time because I work full time and in grad school. I do a wash and go, and eventually put it in a bun which I tend to leave for weeks😭
Girl me too! I’ve currently been using the salicylic acid scalp treatment from the inkey list and t/sal shampoo. It doesn’t completely fix it but it’ll keep my scalp okay so I’m not washing it everyday. I hope you find something that works for you ❤️
Me too! I find that peppermint oil shampoos tend to help. Also, look into sulfur shampoos. I’ve been using a peppermint Castile soap shampoo because fragrances besides natural ones irritate my skin
Am I hearing your smoke alarm beeping in the background? If so, PLEASE change the battery 🙏🏾 most smoke alarms use a 9-volt battery: just get a step ladder and switch it out. ✌🏾
Hi my hair has finally started to get length but I've noticed now that it's dropping. Can you please tell me what I can use so it can stop dropping and help it to grow.😭🙏
@Cactus Flower i believe so. I stopped finger detangling as i found i couldn't get it done properly. Plus i was a bit rough with it when i get impatient with it. I do keep it away from brushing on clothing.
The meaning of Black Beauty ❤❤❤❤
Yea 😉😉😉😉😉😉
@Trinity M I meant SHE IS BEAUTIFULL!!!!!❤❤ I hope you got it.

Pregnancy hormones make hair grow 👍🏽
Seems like it's just better overall health being pregnant and not just prenatal vitamins alone
@watchmethrive1 I believe all of that. Although I mentioned prenatal vitamins, the pregnancy hormones included. However, before I was taking the vitamins, the hair growth was not moving as fast. Everybody is different when pregnant. . 😉
@faerywitchful1 yep I agree, but it wasn't moving as fast until I was on the vitamins. 😉
You're ten years natural, congratulations 🎉
These tips are great, I keep my hair in braids four 3 years , two braids wash, back in two braids, straighten after 3 years way down my back

Wow, i remember watching some your videos back in 2016. Your hair is completely flourising and longer than those times!
Thank you so much for taking the time to educate us on how to take care of our hair 🫶🏾🙏🏾
Thank you! If you do a second view, can you please share how you wash and style your hair? I am a teacher and I am always looking for ways to style my hair for work and keep my natural hair healthy. 😊

The new tresemme made my hair excessively shed. The old tresemme avocado conditioner helped me grow my hair mid back.
I love the tresemme moisture conditioner❤, is big, cheap and has slip 😍. I love your length🙌🙌
People need to understand that growing out hair takes time and patience. You make it look easy! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! 😊
The African pride pre poo is 🔥🔥 I normally use aloe vera gel straight from the leaf but sometimes it’s not always available at my local grocery stores. Having the pre poo there and a little goes a long way makes it so convenient
You can use sea moss gel as a pre poo as well. It’s for for hair, skin and internal health
Me 2
Or flaxseed gel/chia seed gel/fenegreek paste
Grow your own aloe vera. Its easy to take care of
@@VccTayla good idea!
The African pride prepoo is the bidness
Just watched a video of how you retain length etc from 5 years ago, and wow your hair has grown!!!!!!

yess, I had started using tresemme because of you!
You’re making me want to comb out my locs sis!
lol girl im getting locs in a couple years
Same. I want to comb mines out. I’ve been contemplating about it for a year now. I’ve already cut them last summer.
I’ve been locced for over ten years and I just wear wigs for “change”!
Yes, finger detangling is the best method for some of us
I just cut my locs off after 13 years and it was the best decision I could’ve ever made. I now have to re-learn how to care for my 4b/c hair. Happy hair journey to you all!
I love you girl you no how to bring the best style to your hair, your a real back woman 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for sharing sis! 😊😊😊😊
Yes a part 2 please 🙏🏾 I love your recommendations and I’m noticing that when you recommend something it’s def worth a try 😊
I love your set up, your colours, and everything!
You have grown a glorious head of hair! No matter what I do mine goes to shoulder length….😢
when i was relaxed, mines would stop at a certain length.
@@temiadesina Thank you and I just love your hair! Your methods really work!

someone probably already said this but they do have a bigger pre shampoo bottle of the african pride !! i love it and only get the bigger one lol

For my future reference, gotta get the tresseme moisture rich conditioner or herbal essences (natural) hibiscus and aloe conditioner
In my country each of the products that you've mentioned is soooo expensive in my country. I'll love to get all those products that you've mentioned I have natural hair as well.
Great video & you’re glowing 🤎
Note: slip is the conditioners’ ability to aid in de tangling or separation of hair (while moisturizing)
Yess Ik what you mean !! 💯💯 something that detangles, but moisturizes
I found this very informative, thank you

@Angie Au Naturale I think that is a great observation that deserves research. I think you may be onto something.
I’m overweight and my hair is tailbone length. But it is better to lose weight because your overall health does effect your hair. If your having a hard time growing your hair, you should eat more veggies and fruit in your diet. 😊
Hyperthyroidism affects everything. Faster synthesis, faster weight loss & metabolism, faster cell rejuvenation, faster absorption, faster hair growth.

Thanks so much for your advices🥰
Please, What do you think about using a clarifiying conditionner instead of using shampoo?
