This is kick ass! I hate when people just hack the fenders and put no thought into it. I like the fact that you kept the factory edges. Also what are you going to do about the piece by the headlight? Are you going to keep factory number? Please post finished video when you can. Great Video
Onto video 2 to see how you handled the headlight end. K I'm back. It was nicely done, but (personal preference) I like the WJ headlights better. If you end up producing these in fiberglass. I vote for WJ headlights. It would make it a bolt on easy swap.
@@SpiralDesignWorks Your thumbnail pic...I think I may be basically copying that. Extended WJ fender flares moved up.... on my Comanche. If I ever get around to finishing it or even beginning it.
Hey, great job, new to the channel, dunno if u covered this in previous vids, just want to point out , might wanna just give a shoutout about the importance of unhooking the battery before grinding or especially welding on a vehicle. Safely preventing Computer damage/battery explosions and all that. Awesome job !!!!
Fenders look great I make tools if I need something tool and some of my tools I use the most I made....do what you got to do to get it done and have it look nice
So are you gonna make these a sellable item? I would love to have a set like this but that looks like a ton more work then I’d even begin to know where to start. I love it!! I also love what you did for headlights and wouldn’t mine going that route too!
I think the biggest you can put without trimming is 31". The easier and more popular option is the cut and fold where you make 2"cuts in around the flat outside part of the wheel opening. then fold them up. gives you about 2" all around and 33" will fit. I wend the long hard route because i wanted it to look factory. I am 6" on 35"
No to many legal places around here that are challenging. We go up to Georgia, NC, Alabama. I have trailered my TJ to moab, Colorado, Rubicon trail etc.
Wow!!! How “factory” it looks is what’s incredible!! Can’t wait to see it all painted! 👍
That is what we go for. When it is done you have to try and explain what you did because you can't really tell.
I had never seen a tipping tool. That thing is cool.
You can use a adjustable wrench but having grooves at multiple depths helps control the size of the flange you are creating. Super easy to make too.
