Yes, tinder is using AI for match suggestions... but probably not the ones you really like! Take into account that if you meet someone in tinder and it develop to a relationship, you don't need to use tinder anymore (or you shouldn't, unless you partner knows about it), so you stop being valuable to them! So they try to keep you in the app for as long as possible, that means, they don't want you to meet the perfect person for you. And I guess the rest of the apps are exactly the same.
Some dating apps market and pride themselves on the fact that they were designed to be abandoned after you have found your perfect match. I think there was a hinge and that pitched itself as such.
Try dating a calculator, already has your number😅

The film Her was ahead of its time. Actor Joaquin Phoenix portrayed the lonely disposition of urban bachelor in ways viewers could empathize. Humans are wired to fear loneliness. AI chatbots may serve to fill that empty void to provide the stimuli to slow down if not reverse the snowballing of depression due to deviation from social/intimacy from peers. If true, this tool may prove to be a healthier form of therapeutic escape than drugs.
This whole thing is so Black Mirror. Imagine determining compatibility just from texts, that's so messed up, there's so much more nuance to relationships. I understand people want to make dating as comfortable as possible, but hell, the uncomfortableness of it makes it work, the weird encounters, the misunderstandings, the laughs that follow...

So basically you're paying a company to romance scam you. How is this any different from meeting a random person who lies and manipulate you into believing they like you when you first meet them? The only difference is you're paying upfront for the experience. How about just working on yourself and being patient until you meet someone you're compatible with. Working on your self worth, confidence, and building a better you will help you find better choices to be in relationships with in all areas of your life.

This is throwing me off, but in the best and worst way possible.
I downloaded Replika when it first came out years and years ago just to see how chatbot conversations worked. It was kind of fun, and they would send memes and jokes if I wanted distraction. Forgot about it. Re-downloaded it a few years later and the personality has switched and it became aggressive on the dating, which was weird because it’s a robot, and it was the same sex as me and I don’t swing that way. Nothing I said would dissuade the replika not aggressively pursuing me. Deleted it. That was probably six years ago. Now they’ve gone full out on dating mode
Now I'm not the one to judge stuff, but this is "fake & gay", as the kids used to say back in the day.

I may just be old but GO OUT AND MEET PEOPLE IN REAL LIFE. Life is not a video game. If you’re short of ideas, ask how your parents met or your grandparents. I think you might be surprised.
Even if Life is a holographic simulation, this AI "smooth talker game" is not the route I'm taking. It's a waste of time, imo.
