The NEW hardcore nether challenge

- Minecraft's nether dimension today is vastly different from what it was years ago. Before the nether was updated, most people considered the place completely unlivable. Is it? Let's try to survive the Old Nether in Hardcore mode for 100 days and find out!
Minecraft Version 1.15.2
WAIT THERES MORE! What if i did it 2 times AND updated the world...AAANNNDDD...Beat the game. Minecraft Version 1.24
It baffles me how people think the new neither is harder. Like you can’t really get wood or food easily in the older updates
Yeah but the new structures and mobs are a pain in the ass.
@@Nigerosaurus420 If you know how to play it gets pretty easy
@T_Faded You can say the same for the old nether.
Honestly I think it's about an equal trade.
Lots more threats, more treacherous terrain, but resources actually exist.
unless you spawn in a basalt delta in which case yeah ur fucked basically
Piglins hearing blocks being broken: "He's in the walls.. HE'S IN THE GOD DAMN WALLS!"
Imagine when you wear gold armor
Piglin:
"He could be anyone, he could be you, he could be me, he could even be ... *dies* "
Zombie pigman* you fake fan
“what it was obvious he was the player look a death message will pop up in chat any second now … see! Oh wait no that’s blood”
Zombie Pigmen* fake fan

In a age of youtube like now dominated by fast-paced retention editing, there's always some gems like this that remind you of old youtube. To be honest, this gives me technoblade vibes. With simple editing and a monotone voice, I didn't even realize 25 minutes passed. Keep up the good work.
Amazing really
Completely agree
Well said, Sans
Couldn’t have said it better Sans
Thank you for your words, Sans
This doesnt feel like a youtube video, this just feels like im watching someone play. I love it
It's like old-school RUclips. I highly recommend Blitzwinger yolo craft series if you like videos more like this
Literally JUST watched this channel for the first time through the first nether challenge video, finished watching and went to the channel and this dropped
Ikr amazing
I have zero clue how I just became the top comment, but thanks guys :3
@ItsjustBlackJackhere yea :3
Same here
he released it personally for you :3
It would be epic an old ocean video (1.12) where you need to find wood from mineshafts or something like that
or the even older, harder, larger ocean (1.6)
Damn i miss my water world. U had to travel miles without any land. Getting recources felt sooo good.
It's kind of wholesome to see someone play safe and not rush as fast as you can through game like the worlds ends the next game. Great job on both Nether videos!
02:40 and 21:05 it's honestly, so respectable. I think it's the fact that most minecraft youtubers have just kinda made it obvious to always go for the harder paths when attempting a challange or beating a boss, but in reality, I think pretty much everyone here who has played minecraft has went for the easier, more careful and less intense path at least once. There's nothing wrong it trying to not die and lose lots of progress.
These kinds of challanges always give me anxiety that the creator is gonna die attempting something stupid just "for the video", so I am really thankful for that, and for making it feel like a genuine decision someone would do in their minecraft playthough.
"I put a sword to my unwanted guest and turned him into tonight's dinner" This line cracks me up hard XD
I liked how you added sort of a lore to this series. I really liked that killing the wither updates the nether to 1.16+. Keep doing what you’re doing man!
It gave a sense of progression.
If anyone thinks this isn’t nether because he got stuff out of the overworld, he SURVIVED the nether, and only got to the overworld/end thanks to the effort he did in the nether. He makes the rules anyways idk. Congrats dude anyways. Love this new channel I’ve discovered !!
Who is saying this isn't the nether?
I would love to see another type of minecraft challenge from you.
If only you knew hahahaha
@@BANCLAMOFFICIAL That's great to hear.
The Real Hardcore The End?
18:27 if they update the end I would like to see elevation changes between islands. Maybe a new music disc. Nothing crazy. And maybe something fun to do. It can get kinda boring exploring the end since there’s not much difference in the terrain. Maybe more difference in colors of blocks would be better.
Honestly having þat and some inverse neþer generation would be awesome. Maybe some crashed ships and buildings on þe underside of islands, as a treat.
There is a meta theme to the end, where it is the inversion of the overworld.
It needs to be simple and not varied. Not colored and beautiful.
I would add things to do with endstone and chorus plants, as to not bloat it out of it's concept.
Sometjing like mashing chorus plants together in a wood like block, dark purple, that has some connection with teleport mechanics, for example "you don't get damaged when throwing a pearl on it".
@@arthurbarros5189 maybe þe teleportation vector (line from point A to point B) can’t go þrough it? Like, if you use a chorus fruit, or þrow a pearl over a wall of it, you don’t teleport þere. You teleport as far as þe wall and þen just, stop.
Could apply to mobs, too.
@@chickendoodle32 something that would attract endermen? Trap them, or make them leave blocks they find there.
Without cheesing/abusing it, Wither is infinitely harder than the ender dragon, not once has the dragon killed me or given me struggles, on the other hand, the Wither is lethal 😭
He had never swept you to the void while you were building to reach a crystal?
@@arthurbarros5189 she*
idk this one had me thinking tbh. ender dragon has been around forever, so we know it, but going in to each fight blind I think the dragon would be harder
Full enchanted diamond armor, plus potion buffs and a totem of undying was necesary for me to kill one. Tho it was on hard mode.
lmao try the warden bro. its infinitely more dangerous then a non trapped wither
> says he’s going to fight the wither at his base
> acknowledges that it’s a bad idea
> refuses to elaborate
> does it anyways
If you ever want to play a newer version with the older textures, there is this texture pack called *Golden Days* which brings back old textures and retextures new ones to match the old theme.
I really like that you changed it to the new version. It feels very refreshing to see a "hardcore challenge" that is not so obsessed with "I did the hardest possible thing" mindset and actually plays the game in an enjoyable way :)
as what everyone else has said, i really like this slow style of video, not emphasis on huge farms or builds, no big timelapses with loud music. just very chill. walls
5:05 🗣
also glad you came back to the world! always love seeing challenges that make use of different versions of Minecraft :D
I have been gifted with many great ideas. I wish I didn't have to wait to share them
3:19
Let us all pay our respects for the pigman who got snapped out of existence after the wither was killed... o7
Banclam, you seriously are too good at this job, even when CAPCUT added their stupid watermark you switched programs and finished it, bravo.
Okay first of all: respect for fighting the bosses. Also: dude this is incredible!
Please make this a series its so entertaining
9:39 that ghastball hitting the pigmen gave me a ptsd flashback
I too beat the dragon on 360, in fact, i only play minecraft on 360. I wouldnt mind a series of you! Old Nether is definately harder, I 100% agree
Man... I remember you were at 60 Subs I'm so so happy for you bro keep it up for sure you will go places
You're the only minecraft youtuber I watch 100% of the video. Not a single second skipped, damn, great content!
It feels so weird watching this guy play modern Minecraft. I am used to watching him play the old version but watching him play in the modern Nether in this video was a pleasant surprise.
Love when RUclips recommendations finally spare new channels and start to recommend their vids to people.
0:23 'armor made from budder'
hell yeah man, can’t wait to watch another vid of this series from my favorite MC youtuber
You're an amazing RUclipsr. Ive been waiting for this video for a while, and it was worth the wait. Keep up the good work!
And yes, part three please
Just as the first part I loved it! Maybe in part 3 you can go to the nether ceiling and build 1 more portal but purely for travel and make a Hoglin farm for infinite food. Making automatic farms nether only would be a cool episode.
Something to watch after finals
18:27 While the end is okay as it is, just a place to get endgame gear and leave, I really want to see it become livable like the nether did in 1.16. I am pretty biased to this because I absolutely love the BetterEnd mod, and the way it transforms the outer end islands into not only a livable place with an actual progression system, but also an actual dimension. Exploring BetterEnd is actually fun and feels like I'm on a distant world in space. If mojang could ever do something in that direction, it would be amazing, but we'll have to see what actually gets added I suppose.
Speaking of BetterEnd, I would love to see a series in the end using that mod, it is super fun!
It’s great eating dinner whilst watching this
Finally a good minecraff series
This has to be my favourite challenge so far! I love your content!
I loved the last video and am very happy the series is continuing! :D
Wanted 2 say I love your content, not overblown and overstimulating like 98% of modern minecraft youtubers THANKS
I know this video is about the Nether, but im so glad to finally see someone use Chorus fruit to avoid fall damage against shulkers. Its so plentiful in the end and yet no one uses it!
I really appreciate how real you are in these videos, it makes it so much more enjoyable to watch. I'm curious to see what's in store for part 3 tho :)
i hope this turns into a series as this is the most entertaining minecraft videos ive watched in years
It would be awesome to see more of this series!
I just watched the first episode yesterday, and I'm subbing just because I can't wait to see the next episode! Please don't stop. Also, please don't die. Stay ratty.
These videos are actually peak bro, keep doing this no matter what people say. I swear, the first video was so good i didn't even realize 26 minutes passed.
Honestly man, this is the type of survival content that are really interesting and you execute it very very well, keep up great work man
Maybe in the next video you could try building a little civilization in the Nether? Bring some villagers from the Overworld and build them a safe haven down there.
Do zombie piglins go after them like overworld zombies?
Watched the first episode and really enjoyed it tbh, i like the style of the vids. Glad this video was recommended to me too
Best use of 24 minutes and 55 seconds I've ever committed to.
Love your videos, you have a unique charm quality that most RUclipss these day don’t portray. Don’t change. Keep having fun. Never change for any reason
If this became a genuine Minecraft episodic let’s play I’d watch it
I love the videos and the commentary style you have going. If Minecraft is your content then id recommend more of this like maybe something like going through really messed up seeds and trying to obtain an item in a bizarre way
My idea for the end update:
big ender bug. Like an endermite, but big. Make it really fast. Like too fast to properly counter without getting hit a lot. This would be to make bane of arthropods useful, since it inflicts slowness on things weak to it. (yeah, apparently that's a thing)
The shear skill it takes to survive and thrive in the old nether. Nice :)
Hmm, an end update... I'd like shulkers to sometimes give you levitation, teleport you, or swap your gravity. I'd also like end cities to be larger, to the point where you could get lost easily. The sky should look more like the end gateway, and ender chests shouldn't be craftable. I'd like some more variety of height and size for the islands. Getting lost is the biggest problem in the end, so naturally it should be very easy to get lost, which I feel like biomes would take away from... but I guess the lodestone being made easy to obtain kind of ruins that idea.
Also, good video.👍
The bedrock wither on hard difficulty is insane. It’s way harder than the dragon fight, that thing decimated the world around it
maybe make this a small letsplay? Like each episode with another 100 days? :D
Dunno what you'll do all that time, missing the goals. Maybe we or you can make up a list? Here's mine goal suggestions :)
- Defeat Enderdragon
- Make at least 2 beacons
- Find and loot a desert temple
- Make a fire resistance potion
- Loot a Bastion
- Make a garden in nether
PS: to answer your question from earlier: I think wither is much harder then Enderdragon
one day I randomly found your channel and saw the video of 100 days in the nether, incredible content brother, keep going ^^
Fun fact, if you want to make nether more safer just make slabs always the bottom not the top
You can just get one warped fungus to not have to worry about hoglins ever again, it works nicely. Still you wouldnt want them to sneak up on you
I really like your videos, it feels really good to watch and I can watch the whole thing. Thank you
17:20 there is actually telling how far away the stronghold is. Depending on the angle of the eye when thrown you can tell the distance you are from the stronghold
Concerning the end, I think it's doing just fine as it is right now.
There don't need to be no fancy lushness or new life, it is called "the end" for a reason.
I love this.
I think the End should definitely get more post-game content. Netherite already acts as an upgrade, perhaps instead we should get upgrades to existing tools, workbenches that unlock more enchants and upgrades to netherite and other weapons.
i love stumbling upon videos like this you’ve earned yourself a new subscriber
Avoiding bastions, the new nether is actually so much easier. I am much more impressed by surviving in the old nether, lol
13:10 you had a stone sword 🙏 that's why they had so much hp
Great series
for next time if you get enchantments i'd reccomend getting silk touch! you can smelt nether gold ore straight into ingots and it's a much better return per ore
Sometimes I miss this kind of format
That's insane!
good skin m8
If you do a part 3
You should make a nether castle to say you truly conquered it with a Golden throne
We need a part 3!
It'd be cool if, every time you get enough obsidian for a nether portal, you can grab one, maybe two items that you can't get in the nether.
The New nether is harder?
Yes, there are new mobs that kill you quickly, but they can be avoided and countered SO easily
We literally have wood and stone now in the nether, bro was broke for 1/3 the episode last time
I can't believe new players think the new nether is harder 😭
i like this part two. very good expansion on the ideas you had in the first one.
New idea: survive in old end or new end.
Nice vids!
Hey, found your channel after your Old Nether challenge video popped up. Those are my favorite Minecraft survival videos. Even trying 100 Days myself, albeit struggling a bit as I don't have much experience in the Nether.
Anyways, regarding an End update my idea is a bit lengthy, but I'll put in a TLDR at... The End 😂
Keep in mind, I've never been to the End, I'm a noob. So some of these ideas might already exist, tho I've never seen it on RUclips.
I wanted to keep the feel that the End is very poor in terms of resources, so that being said:
1. Chorus Trees, but they don't naturally occur. Basically a hybrid of Chorus Fruit from the meddling of humans.
To grow them, place 4 chorus fruit together on end stone and wait... Idk how long, might require testing from the devs, cause it's meant to be a grind. Bonemeal, once aqcuired will speed it up, but not as fast as overworld trees.
Now it won't be a big tree, but a short stubby tree providing just enough wood for a crafting table some tools and being able to craft End Dirt
2. End Dirt, to make it you'd combine 2 chorus wood and 2 End Stone and get 4 End Dirt blocks.
3. You can hoe the End Dirt to get End Soil and plant chorus fruit, which will grow into chorus crops. Chorus crops eaten raw will teleport you 6 blocks instead of 8.
With wooden bowls, you can make chorus soup from the crops, which teleports you 4 blocks. And if you're a visitor from another dimension who brings a furnace, roasted chorus fruit will only teleport you 2 blocks. The healing and saturation will also increase with each type.
4. Normal Chorus Tree, to get this you need to plant 4 chorus fruits on 4 End Soil Blocks, which give you rooted chorus dirt and chorus saplings. Very unlikely to get more than 1 sapling.
5. Giant Chorus Tree, plant 4 chorus saplings on rooted chorus dirt and wait...
6. Chorus Pods will grow on the Giant CT. How many drops depends on testing how grindy the devs and players want it.
7. Chorus Pods are basically Purple End diamonds with the durability of gold.
I haven't figured out yet if they have any special effects like how the chorus fruit teleports you.
I also thought about maybe being able to breed Shulkers with Chorus Crops or Pods, pods might be better since they're harder to cultivate, thus more valuable. But idk what domesticated bred shulkers would give compared to their wild variants. Haven't thought that far ahead.
TLDR: I'm a noob, so I might not know what I'm talking about.
1. Cultivate chorus trees not native to the End by planting chorus fruit on end stone and wait.
Make wooden stuff and end dirt by combining end stone and chorus wood.
2. Hoe end dirt to get end soil and plant chorus fruit to get chorus crops that have varying degrees of benefits depending on how they're consumed.
3. Plant chorus fruit on end soil to get a regular tree that drops chorus saplings and gives rooted end soil which produces a mega tree from 4 chorus saplings and drops Chorus pods, a weaker version of diamonds.
4. Maybe breed shulkers with chorus pods, but idk what domesticated shulkers would give yet.
Edit: I looked up chorus fruit afterwards and apparently there's popped chorus fruit made from smelting them. 🤔
So I'm thinking, breed shulkers with choris crops, domesticated shulker shells can be combined with end stone and chorus wood to get Chorus Shulks? (Someone got a better name please) aka End Cobblestone. Make a furnace, smelt the chorus fruit and plant popped chorus fruit on end soil to get a normal chorus tree.
Maybe breeding shulkers with chorus pods produces a shulker with a different resource?
nether hardcore hell
Man it's amazing how far you've come, absolutely deserved!!!
Imagine thinking the version of nether that literally gives you WOOD is harder than old nether
Ender dragon tends to be similarly difficult regardless of gear, while the wither goes from impossible to trivial the more stuff you get.
I've always cleared bastions with lava buckets.
I love this series
man, you’re so entertaining to watch. thanks)
love how its dubbed like documentary
the documentary is so soothing
I gotta sub
Good job i am hyped for part 3 you are a bit different i dont find you annoying unlike alot of other youtubers
Good job for actually doing something you like, that’s what we like
The End Dragon is difficult, but the bedrock Wither is brutal
In regular gameplay old nether is easier, due to previous resources and tools. But when it comes to starting in the nether, the most vital thing is resources, and in the old nether, it is signifiantly more difficult to acquire resources, especially tools.
surely getting pigstep has to be a milestone
16:37 the real nether challenge was the friends we made along the way
I have been waiting for this video, goat
I really love your videos, since the editing isn't so fast-paced and the tone of your voice is more monotone, but it still shows your emotions. Unlike other videos nowadays, where the editing is tiktokfied, everything happens so fast, the video itself is so overstimulating for me and the narrator sounds kinda fake I can actually relax when I watch your stuff and at the same time I don't get bored.
I can't wait to see more on your channel!!!
Now kill the Wither Boss on Bedrock lmao
“After a good amount of swiping”
SWIPER NO SWIPING!
The ender dragon in the wither depends on the version. Because the bedrock Wither is literally just the destroyer of worlds.
Consider me a new fan, i absolutely love your content bro. Dont push yourself too hard on video ideas and pumping out content. Make sure its still something that YOU are enjoying. Stay golden ❤
Hey since you mentioned it, I had never fought the dragon and decided to boot minecraft ps3 edition to beat it the same way I started playing, even git a lil crt tv setup lol, and after doing it I do appreciate the shoutout cuz beating that damn loud dragon on a controler with phantom inputs was the pain in my ass
