Loved this movie. Its a shame this movie never earned much recognition at the Oscars, other than for Best Original Score. I felt it very well deserved at least nominations under Best Movie, Best Director, Best Actor or Supporting Actor.
Hello from South Africa.i have read over 3000 books in my lifetime,so many brilliant writers and stories told,I read the kite runner and a thousand splendid suns,the kite runner story captivated me with such emotions i kept this book till today,the greatest story telling iv read so far,
as a game of thrones fan,these two actor actors would be perfect as doran and quentin martell
I read the book many years ago,it so brilliant i still have it,❤❤❤absolutely great story,
very honestly made movie... describe the real situation... an amazing acting by all the actors

khalid abdalla played great and all but he doesnt look afghan at all. me as an afghan knew immediatly that he was an arab. but whatever i guess the average person would fall for it

I’m also Afghan, and could tell he was Arab, but he had a really good Dari accent. Homayoun Ershadi who is Iranian had a strong thick Iranian accent. His portrayal of Baba for his Dari accent was not convincing at all. You could tell he was Iranian 100%
No he isn't Afghani, correct. He is Egyptian, which for me is still awesome. He nailed the character of Amir honestly I don't think anyone else could have played him as well as this guy did.
@@adamtajyar I think he sounded fine.. could easily pass for herati afghan or western afghan with the accent.

Why oh why
Homayoun Ershadi had a terrible Dari accent which should be easy since he’s already fluent in Farsi. Just needed to perfect the Afghan dialect of Farsi (Dari). Khalid Abdullah had a better Dari accent and was more convincing
