BJ82 Honda's automatic transmissions have always been their Achilles heel, but overall their long term reliability and resale is awesome. I have no doubt American cars (or the euro-sourced ones) have been getting better, but so has their competition.

Ridiculous there isn't a category for reliability, the most important factor than anything else. This type of car segment is where it's going to be the only car for a person so reliability is everything. Nobody wants, and can't afford, to have their car with downtime in the shop. Honda wins this by a landslide.
I disagree, I think the Fiesta has proven to be pretty reliable over the last four years. $2,000 savings is almost a 15% discount over the fit and for a first time buyer out of college that is significant.
@@robertpuffer9721 If it's the manual transmission. The automatic is very untrustworthy. But the Ford Fiesta hatchback with manual transmission is wonderful. And it's a lot more roomy inside than one would think and is very comfortable. These cars should all be manual transmission.
Agree. Reliability is a super criteria by itself which no motor journalist seems to care for while we consumers put that on the top of our list. Each and every Japanese car thrashes the likes of Fords and Volkswagens in that criteria of reliability. If you want driving dynamics too on top of reliability, go for Mazda 2 or Mazda3. You get best of both worlds.
@@Raj-nh3fc Journos don't talk about reliability because it's so speculative. I drove both and ultimately bought a 2015 Fit EX. It just couldn't hang with the Fit. I'm getting 40+ mpg when driving conservatively and when I need to get going quick the Fit has a ton of power particularly when the VTEC kicks in.
Just bought a Fiesta after numerous test drives of the Fiesta, Fit, Versa and Prius. In the end of the cars we drove the Fiesta performed much better for us though the Nissan was really close. We only average around 7,000 miles per year including about 3 long trips a year so gas mileage really doesn't come into play. We came very close to purchasing a Fit but were able to negotiate a deal for the Fiesta that was drastically cheaper saving us about $100/mo on our payment.
not exactly like I said Fiesta to be compared with a company who just resigned their president this Feb because of the hundreds of deaths by their Airbags is an insult
lolz. its either youre awfully no taste or a complete no class . If Fiesta looks like a Fish, Aston Martin looks like a fish, Maserati looks like a fish, Jaguar looks like a fish. Fit just looks like an outdated model.
BTW check the present & new upcoming cars of Toyota, Hyundai, Mazda etc.. they are all copying the Facelift grill trademark on Standard cars which Ford have trendset and started
I have a Ford company car and could have easily gotten a Fiesta at fleet pricing. However I had my daughter get a Fit. It's her first car purchase. The reason we chose the Fit. Practicality, reliability ( I have had several Fords as much as I like them there are reliability issues) another reason we chose the Fit. Based on our geography the resale value is significantly better in Hawaii. We have a state that is over 60% Asian with about a third of that number being Japanese. So in Hawaii Toyota's and Honda's always have buyers. Might sound racist but it is what it is anyone who has experience here can confirm what I say.
I like you honesty! Even here in Ireland, Toyota and Honda have the highest resale value. Btw, I don't own a Honda, but had 3 previous Mitsubishi. I have a Peugeot now for a change.... Cheers to your daughter's years of worry free motoring!
Fit looks like a micro-mini-van. Bought the fiesta and love it, 1700 miles so far and 34.8 ave mpg since new (and not really completely broke-in yet) 2014 1.6 manual.
My only big complaints of the Fiesta is the 2nd row seat. It is tiny, doesn't fold flat like the Fit, and doesn't have the same options that come with the magic seat. I rather have the Fit over the Fiesta, but It is definitely a very close decision for me.
you couldn't give me a ford with a turbo 3 cylinder motor. It will need major work by 80K miles, my 2015 Fit EX with 116K miles still looks and runs like new, and no turbo to replace when it dies. I got the EX with sunroof, best stereo they offer, side camera, cvt, and 18" allow wheels. List was 19750, I paid 11,000 in 2024. Got 34 mpg on the first tank and I drive hard from the stop lights. The radio controls on the radio suck, but they are also on the wheel so no problem. I have a 64gb flash drive with a bunch of my music for days of tunes, and a proximity keyfob to unlock doors and start the car.
I picked up a 2015 EX Fit last December for $13,900. 1 owner, clean title, no accidents, 6 speed manual with 59,000 miles. It was certified so went through a 100 point check list where it got 4 new tires, new front and rear pads and rotors and 60k service. I've owned Honda's my entire life and I absolutely love this car. The 6 speed manual is an absolute blast to drive, so lively and fun around back roads. This is a older video so these guys wouldn't of known but the 3 cylinder Ecoboost and Fords Dual Clutch systems are a freaking nightmare!! Glad you're enjoying yours as much as me....
Fiesta is the best car on its class, more like a subcompact aston martin, won international engine of the year award 3 years in a row 2O12-14. got five stars on Euro Ncap Safety Rating, 2O14 Automotive Excellence Award for Handling, Won Car of the Year by Topgear and more than 22 other awards and ford used to own Jaguar & Aston martin. Check all other VS youtube videos with Fiesta on it and fiesta always wins
lol. its not it! type it your google 'ford fiesta awards' it won more than 30 awards, its the most awarded subcompact car in history according to wikipedia and fiesta 2O14 is the top selling car in UK of all time
GeForce GT goole it the 3O+ awards of fiesta is just for 2O14model alone, read a book or browse on wikipedia will yah. The competitors of fiesta is renault, peugot and VW not this crappy Honda fit Kia rio look alike
Fit is the most reliable car for those who want to fool them selves. Click link for the the awards of 2O14 fiesta. I think its more than 22 by now.media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2014/04/08/ford-fiesta-st-wins-22-awards-in-its-debut-season.html
I used to love Honda as well but times have changed. The modern Fiesta now is way cooler classy interior 2 tone finish, leather seats, Voice command, touch screen, back sensor, Rear View Backup Camera, rain sensor wipers, automatic side mirrors, ambient lighting, alloy wheels and the car can talk!
I have a 2013 Fit and I will say that it is the first Honda I ever owned but man I wont buy anything other than a Honda anymore. I had a Hyundai Accent 2001 and a 2007 both owned new, both had them till they hit about 150,000 mi. But at 70mph, the Hyundai's seemed like they were going to fall aprt. The 2013 Honda Fit, I had up to 90mph and the car was driving a smooth as it would at 40mph. Just a very well made car.
i love my fiesta. i got ALL the warranties, and the gas mileage is awesome. after all is said and done and those are included into the price, it's an amazing deal. what they failed to mention was the audio system, and ford sync. the voice command is awesome and the bass and speakers in the fiesta is the bomb digity. i love my fiesta so much.
Fiesta's exterior is far stylish than other subcompacts, its Handling is completely outmatched, a 3 year award winning engine, Stunning interiors, More technologically equipped than Fit. Fiesta 2O14 is the most awarded subcompact in History, while Honda got a president resigned bcoz of the numerous deaths caused by its Airbags
Honda Fit by far. The new fit is the absolute best in its class offering so much more for less cash than anything else. Performance wont be a question if they release an Si/type-R model like some are saying they might. The Fit could recieve the new 1.5 Liter Turbo Vtec engine that makes around 220hp as well as a famously excellent Honda performance suspension tune.
I don't think they can really compete head-to-head. The Fit is going to absolutely destroy the Fiesta on storage space, but the Fiesta would monster the Fit on a track. They're both very good cars, but for very different wants and needs. Overall, I would say the Honda might be technically superior, but from my experience, the Fiesta is much more fun to drive. Both are great cars!
It pains me to admit it (I own a Fiesta), but th Fit is the better choice. in terms of functionality. Of course if I was a "young thruster" (really?) ,I'd buy the Fiesta ST and run rings around them both.
I like how everyone is worried about Interior noise and how the Fit is too noisy and not sporty. I just bought a 2015 Fit and I am stoked. Looked at the Fiesta but I don't trust Ford reliability, Used to own them, my parents own two and CONSTANT problems. I have two other honda's and one has 280k on it still on the original headgasket and CAT. Maybe the Ford is a bit more fun to drive and cheaper to buy now, but the Honda will keep going 3 times longer than the Fiesta.
Kevin Ramos You're probably looking at a golf GTI or something of that class then. I own an 09 Fit and test drove and purchased a 15 Fit, but while it's peppy for it's segment, I'm not looking to drag race anyone either :P But where the Fit really wins out in it's class is everyday living. We make trips to Ikea and managed to fit a living room and bedroom set in the car when my GF and I first moved in together. And where I'm most stoked for the 15 Fit is the significant increase in rear seat leg room so it's just as able a people carrier also. Those "magic seats" often are looked at as a gimmick, but having had taken several trips to the airport with luggage, being able to leave my trunk contents undisturbed and still fit several large suitcases by folding the seats upward was quite handy. But if you're looking for something closer to a hot hatch, the GTI is one to look at. The 2016 Ford Focus RS also looks pretty awesome :P But neither the base Fiesta or Fit will offer you that real kick of power. The Fiesta ST with the upgraded engine would likely do it though. 200HP is quite a lot for such a light car :)
Bought a Fit 6 months ago and absolutely love it. The Fiesta was on our short list but in my shopping I found many of the points made in the video and chose the Fit. Our next car will be what I really wanted but couldn't afford then -- the Fiesta ST. (Actually what I really want is the Focus RS)
Hard to beat the amazing magic seat and huge cargo space of the Fit. I can fit my full size bike in the back of the Fit without removing any tires by just rolling it in and out, no hassle. The magic seat is the best invention ever.
yes I transported a recliner chair with back removed and out of the box in two pieces in my Honda fit!!! amazing! saved a $99 delivery fee!! loving the fit cargo ability!!!!
Something not mentioned here. RELIABLE consumer reports doesnt just rate fiesta bad. Its MUCH BELOW AVERAGE people that means your fiesta will sound and look very quiet and cool on the back of a TOW TRUCK. Meanwhile the fit is MUCH ABOVE AVERAGE on reliability. I dont own a honda yet, but a fit ex-l with manual i will.
***** Its the simplest sample why Fiesta is premium and Honda is not Fiesta's Ecoboost Engine won (International Engine of the Year) 3 years in a row ( 2012-14) beating nominees like Lamborghini, Ferrari Engines. Honda cant even compete w other Japanese cars, Toyota sells better than Honda, Mazda got more awards than Honda and 2014-15 Fiesta is the most awarded subcompact in History (google it!) .
1:47 (Fit) vs 2:11 (Fiesta) = The front window triangles on the Fit actually has function and makes an otherwise blind spot visible, Fiesta window triangles are virtually non functional and huge blind spot.
I chose the Honda Jazz (what they call the FIT here in Australia) and I'm selling it 7 months later because it vibrates (was so bad to start with it caused neurological and circulatory problems such as stuttering, sleeping 17 hours a day, nose turned red, internal tremors, heart rhythm problems...) and I have to use cruise control whenever possible but my foot is tingling/numb using the foot pedal, everything rolls around in the boot (trunk) as it's not stable - if you have groceries expect it to be out of the bag by the time you get home, the sound system is rubbish, and the paint is peeling off. And it's fly by wire which is not crash hot either. Good thing Honda has good resale value although I pity the person buying it.
Can anyone compare the interior noise in both cars? I'm considering Fit but the noise level is my concern. Can anyone give a rate between 1 to 10 as, 10 is too noisy and 1 is less - for both cars to compare?
the CVT does seem to rev up when excelerated but in all honesty it isnt bad. I had the same concerns but its only for a moment you get the noise. When your going down the road its a very nice ride.
When I bought my '12 Fit Sport a couple years ago, I spent some time in a Fiesta. It felt a little anemic and cramped - at least back then. The Fit is simply a better all-around car in its class. Others may do one or two things better but the Fit does everything well above average. However, I'm a bit mixed on the new design of the '15 model. When compared to the previous design, it seems that Honda tried too hard to make it more modern with its bold character lines, squared-off fender flares, and air ducts at the rear - just a name a few. Knowing me, I'm sure I'll adjust to it over time but otherwise, the new Fit is a clear winner in its class.
Agreed, I still like the styling of my '12 Fit Sport MT, but I do like the '15's nose and all the other performance improvements. (except for the short 6th gear)
Fit's interior is inferior to Fiesta's quality interior, Fit's Engine is inferior to Fiesta's Engine, Fit has a new design and yet still look cheap. Its noisy Engine is pathetically so not premium.
Fiesta got an award winning ENGINE it won 3 yrs in a row = Fit O Fiesta is more TECHNOLOGY equipped = Fit standard tech Fiesta widely known fun to DRIVE & Smooth = Fit noisy, rough & choppy ride Fiesta top ratings on SAFETY = Honda president resigned coz of safety issues
Honda wins hands down, love the interior quality, for a car in this category it feels premium, love the new earth dreams engine and brilliant cvt trans.
Enjoyed by the young who?? Anyway, that 1.0L Ecoboost acquits itself incredibly well. Great option for someone who needs an economical, fuel-efficient city car that doesn't make you hate driving. And when are we gonna hear from Erin in these face-offs?
While the Ford starts $2000 less than the Fit, you have to consider that the base Fit, the LX, is better equipped than the base Fiesta S. The volume seller Fiesta is the SE trim, which is comparable to the Fit LX. At that point, the price gap is no longer there. Also, as a owner of a Focus with the same DCT as the Fiesta, I think Ford needs to get rid of it. I'm still having issues after several different visits to the dealer.
Wow a nissan versa is much less money. Versa is a good car lots of room. Fiesta is made in Mexico. Anyway both are very small . Have a focus hatch back its been good has 225,000 miles . Maybe a fit will last that long? Get about 32mpg on the focus. Will keep it for now not many problems just brakes timing belts and fuel filters water pumps thats it.
I don't really care which one of the car wins. But this is the most common issues with Honda Fit and most common problems including Takata Airbag Explosions, Transmission Failure, Premature Break Problems etc. Click link for Numerous Honda Fit issues. Source: Honda Website investigations.Click comment below for the source link Honda website.
I have a 17 Honda Fit, it is a far better car. I appraise vehicles for a living. A Ford Fiesta can be anywhere between $500-2,300 depending on the year and if it needs tires or a new transmission. And a Honda Fit can be anywhere between $9,000 - $16,000 depending on the miles, and year.
The Fit for sure. The Fiesta has a sketchy reliability record, especially with the transmission, the rear seats in the Fiesta don't fold down flat or have the versatility of the Fit, the Fit will have a better resale value, and it gives you more for your money.
The rear seats do fold down. They did in my '13 Titanium and they do now in my '14 ST. The transmission problem was a grounding strap, on one option transmission(the 6 speed dual clutch auto) but both the manuals and the other auto are just fine.
ShodanNinja is right, I own 2015 '13 Titanium Hatchback and the back seat does fold, do you own a Fiesta? If not, then try looking at a video or images
Fari Mustofa Did I say the seats do not fold down? No, I said they do not fold FLAT. I have looked at the Fiesta and saw in person how far down they go AND how there is an enormous hump between the floor and the seat back bottom so you don't have a flat load space. That is what I am referring to.
I'm sure both cars are great, not sure why everyone has to bash one over the other. The fact that the Fiesta is still this competitive as the older platform really says something. I bought a 2019 (last year in the US) and I wanted fun to drive, prefer small cars, and don't need a rear seat or need much cargo space (I have a truck for that). Mine is a manual with SYNC 3 so the dash layout is much better than base. If I had to complain the seat bottoms need more aggressive bolsters, not as much as the Recaros in the ST though. It's a shame Ford's exiting the US with small cars, I've always enjoyed their offerings.
Whatever "fun to drive" factor the Fiesta has over the Fit is negligible, specially most people are perfectly happy with driving fat bloated SUV's while being the only occupant in the car. I dont understan how the Fiesta even won on value, I guess they had to make it closer than it really is.
Obviously u havent driven the Fiesta, Fiesta is worlds best handling super mini in case if u didnt know, the only car even worthy of competition with Fiesta is a VW called the VW Polo, Fit is just a good family hatch, Fiesta is a fun to drive super mini
Ponygt 662 Yes I have, and yes it is more fun to drive, if you're in a windy twisty road. But you know what else is fun to drive, almost all subcompact cars and super minis, relative to all bigger segment. You obviously didn't get my point; "whatever "fun to drive" factor the Fiesta has over the Fit is negligible". because for most people it's not a tick box in buying cars in this segment, at the end of the day these cars will never be real sports cars. Even in that segment of sports cars, a lot of people don't know how to appreciate good handling/steering feel, buying decision is mostly based on looks, personal budget and brand, all too often driving feel is not on the list. Given the choice and budget, most people are perfectly happy with driving a tall bloated SUV, most of which will never be as good to chuck around as a big family sedan let alone subcompacts. To prove my case even further, most cars sold in America are either SUV's or Trucks.
Yaa thats what I too wanted to hear, times are changing and when some one thinks different to the rest of the world it makes all the difference, Driving dynamics is not the only ace of fiesta, drive the ecoboost fiesta to understand that, its driving dynamics+comfortable ride+safe feeling cabin+quiet interior+better sounding audio system+superb sweet sweet manual gearbox+brilliant fuel economy of 1.0 ecoboost makes sense for at least 5% of people buying subcompact, thats what Ford wants with Fiesta, its not a car thats built for family purpose alone its a car that builds the brand,Fords smallest car, these atteibutes grow larger and larger when we go higher in segments Sure in a country like USA Fit is a better choice but that dosent make Fiesta a bad car by any means,in fact its a more focused car on the brand values of Ford
enemay The fiesta looks alot better if you ask me. Especially compared to the previous gen honda fit... Those things are ugly. They look like downsized soccer mom vans. That's one of the reasons i got a fiesta. It just looks better.
Add a 8pound turbo to the fit .btw it also has I-vtech engine 16 valve .why compare it to a stock fit . There’s a Mugen Fit , Spoon Fit , HFP Fit . The Fiesta aight .
Fiesta has won many awards...but has always come in second to the Fit in tests. Simply put, you want second best get the Fiesta...if you want the best..get a Honda Fit. Fit is simply the best subcompact out there.
No new car ever starts out with the price it says on the internet. Even if you did get the Manual (which is what that lowest price is for) when you get to the dealership they markup the price by almost a $1000 for "shipping and handling" so those prices are bullsharky. Hate dealerships they treat women like they are stupid and try their hardest to trick people into stealing their money then get pissed if you haggle them to a reasonable price. As soon as you drive off the lot it will be worth 20% less.
this just in from the 2021: Ford lost the Class action suit from all the defective DCT fiestas and focuses they sold. Potentially costing them Billions!
Fiesta.because there are some reports about the fits about airbags because when the airbags deployed the middle of the fits airbag comes with a metal and that is one of the coast life lose
Fiesta has the value proposition which is why it should be the winner in this competition. That 2 grand means a lot in this segment. If you don't drive a long distance like my farther, that is more than what he spends on gas a year.
The Fiesta and Focus both have the junky 6 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Ford does not have a fix for the bad design of that automatic transmission. That is why people are giving away their Fiestas.
The Fit’s CVT paddle shifters are redundant, so they shouldn’t be seen by car reviewers who know better as a selling point. Adding paddle shifters to a CVT turns a transmission with an infinite number of ratios into a 5 or 6 speed depending on the programming. It defeats the purpose of being a CVT, and hurts performance.
I think Ford has good long term reliability these days, while Honda has seriously stumbled with the way they handled the Takata airbag fiasco - stonewalling and delaying when lives and injuries are at stake. That having been said resale value is always much better on Hondas than Fords so for ownership of 5 years or less, I give the nod to the Honda. For longer ownership, I give the nod to the Ford, simply because as you get further and further out, the money you save going in (Fords are always cheaper if you wait for sales and rebates and negotiate well) makes up for the resale value you lose.
Fiesta ST is the car Ford set up for a performance ride the Fit has nothing that comes close. price gos up on the Fiesta ST but it's hardly a large jump from the loaded Honda
Are these cars even the same trim levels? The Fit looks to have nicer wheels and fog lamps.. The Fiesta would win my pocket book. In the higher trim level..
Out of his mouth came the words "The CVT in the Fit is so much better" ... CVTs are Moped transmission technology with belts and things that go pop, crunch, die. Hydraulic Transmissions ..hmmm .. Hydraulic as in Backhoes, Loaders, Bulldozers and 1000's of pounds from hydraulic actuation. You're supposed to be an expert? act like one.. and just say CVTs suck, people with mechanical knowledge know so.
Fiesta with a 5 speed manual and the 1.6 liter duratec engine that was based on the old mazda 4 banger can be just as reliable. Its the automatic transmission that ford doesn't know how to build.
Curious that you didn't test manual transmissions on these two. Was it limited availability or just plain laziness on your part? You also compare base prices on totally dissimilarly equipped cars; Honda doesn't offer a "stripper" nor a pumped up GT. compare apples to apples; like a Fiesta SL 5spd and a Fit Ex 6spd and you are looking at 4/1 Honda which offers more standard equipment for less than Ford and a resale value 15-20% higher. In not happy with your rating abilities guys. CVT? Gag me with a spoon👎
PS... Your as quoted price for the Fiesta at $14,000++ is for the S model. To get a 5spd Eco-boost you gave to drop another grand and move up to the SE model. So, the $2,000 price advantage you claim for the Fiesta doesn't really exist with the equipment you prefer. Both cars (Fiesta SE Eco-boost and Fit Ex) come in just under $18,000 before taxes and the Fit is standard with a 6spd, Moonroof and Honda Link infotainment with 7"screen vs 5spd Fiesta sans moonroof and 16" rims. Value: FIT❗️
Where are these cars built? Get a European built & specced Fiesta Ecoboost Titanium 123 bhp if you enjoy driving, there is a reason it's Fords best seller.
The Honda is $2,000 dollars more than a Fiesta, this is not chump change like the Honda guy has people think.. How about putting $2K worth of upgrades on the Fiesta , then do the comparison??
dud if you hve honda jazz vx cvt it has 7 sppeeeed sooooo fast you know what? Fiesta is so nice about the perpormance. HONDA JAZZ And not on fail in highways becuse if you. Turn the econ. Button the engine stops the gas effiency of the jazz. And honda fit is the worst of allllll don't buy fit buy jazzzzzzz
Add in long term reliability and resale and the Fit takes that crown too.

Honda all the way!
Check all other VS youtube videos with Fiesta on it and fiesta always wins

agreed! you will know a review when it is biased, if its contradicting to the endowment of numerous respected auto groups and organizations.
lol. its not it! type it your google 'ford fiesta awards' it won more than 30 awards, its the most awarded subcompact car in history according to wikipedia and fiesta 2O14 is the top selling car in UK of all time
GeForce GT goole it the 3O+ awards of fiesta is just for 2O14model alone, read a book or browse on wikipedia will yah.
As a long time Honda fan, I'd take the 1.0 Ecoboost Fiest
Who do you think should win in a head-to-head match, the Honda Fit or the Ford Fiesta?
Honda Fit without a doubt.
The Honda Fit is going to be the clear winner.
Clearly Honda fit it has all the tech of a 30k car.
It pains me to admit it (I own a Fiesta), but th Fit is the better choice. in terms of functionality. Of course if I was a "young thruster" (really?) ,I'd buy the Fiesta ST and run rings around them both.
MuggShotGaming Tell that to Ken Block
I own an 09 Fit and test drove and purchased a 15 Fit, but while it's peppy for it's segment, I'm not looking to drag race anyone either :P
But where the Fit really wins out in it's class is everyday living.
+Sean Tucker 300k miles on my sable sorry .
Go for the Fiesta st
Fit has better value
I have a 2019 fit and it's a little beast. Even on corners.
The Fit's back looks sexy as hell. Fit all the way.
Fiesta has one good looking front. What if one would combine a Fiesta front and a beautiful Fit end?
@@manuhonkanen2111 The front was derived from aston martin when Ford owned it 15 years ago
@@Mark-rt6fy wonderful news!
i don't know why i got so excited about this showdown... lol
The Fit looks more premium than the fiesta as well!
Fit looks more like just Kia Rio, Fiesta looks like a subcompact Aston Martin, which ford previously owns along with Jaguar. Ford knows Premium.
+samtastic74 yes the CVT is buzzy but once you hit 35-40 mph it smooths out and is a quiet ride quite honestly.....
Used toyoto Yaris to wanted top
The honda Fit defiantly it's nice and better
Fiesta all day. The new Fit is ugly AF and I work at a Honda dealer.
lolz
Fit's interior is inferior to Fiesta's quality interior, Fit's Engine is inferior to Fiesta's Engine, Fit has a new design and yet still look cheap. Its noisy Engine is pathetically so not premium.
Fiesta got an award winning ENGINE it won 3 yrs in a row = Fit O
Fiesta is more TECHNOLOGY equipped = Fit standard tech
Fiesta widely known fun to DRIVE & Smooth = Fit noisy, rough & choppy ride
Fiesta top ratings on SAFETY = Honda president resigned coz of safety issues
PLindsey725 bs
@@perfumecentral Fiesta Breaks down every 3 months = Fit 250k miles, no major repairs.
Honda wins hands down, love the interior quality, for a car in this category it feels premium, love the new earth dreams engine and brilliant cvt trans.
This the best style of comparison and review video
No WAY does the Fit come CLOSE to beating the handling and mpg of the Fiesta.
The Fiesta is much better handling is much better car
@@randymerlo4070 IDK how long the Fiesta would last, compared to the Fit, BUT I have NO doubt it's a better driver. Small, tho.
@@filoIII other than back seat and cargo space Fiesta is far better
I love my green phantom 2014 SE fantastic running car avg 36 mpg quick little car looking into cold air intake
Easy choice... Honda fit 👍
+Henry Rieken Ford has been notorious for making unnecessary adjustments to their transmissions.
I love both cars. This Honda Fit GP5 model has DCT and Fiesta has DCT too.

Honda Fit
Looks like your comparing a base model Fiesta with a loaded Fit Ex. Fail.
Yaa thats what I too wanted to hear, times are changing and when some one thinks different to the rest of the world it makes all the difference,
Driving dynamics is not the only ace of fiesta, drive the ecoboost fiesta to understand that, its driving dynamics+comfortable ride+safe feeling cabin+quiet interior+better sounding audio system+superb sweet sweet manual gearbox+brilliant fuel economy of 1.0 ecoboost makes sense for at least 5% of people buying subcompact, thats what Ford wants with Fiesta, its not a car thats built for family purpose alone its a car that builds the brand,Fords smallest car, these atteibutes grow larger and larger when we go higher in segments
Sure in a country like USA Fit is a better choice but that dosent make Fiesta a bad car by any means,in fact its a more focused car on the brand values of Ford
enemay The fiesta looks alot better if you ask me. Especially compared to the previous gen honda fit... Those things are ugly. They look like downsized soccer mom vans.
That's one of the reasons i got a fiesta. It just looks better.
Ponygt 662 Mazda 2 handles better than the fit or fiesta...ever driven one?
Add a 8pound turbo to the fit .btw it also has I-vtech engine 16 valve .why compare it to a stock fit . There’s a Mugen Fit , Spoon Fit , HFP Fit . The Fiesta aight .
Fiesta has won many awards...but has always come in second to the Fit in tests. Simply put, you want second best get the Fiesta...if you want the best..get a Honda Fit. Fit is simply the best subcompact out there.
Another advantage of the Fit is that it was obviously designed on Gallifrey using Time Lord technology, it’s clearly Bigger on the Inside…
The Honda Fit is the clear better value and that's why u got a my new fit
The fit...
Fiesta.because there are some reports about the fits about airbags because when the airbags deployed the middle of the fits airbag comes with a metal and that is one of the coast life lose
How about the ford fiesta ST whats better ST or fit
I'm a Ford Fiesta Fan but Fit got more safety than Fiesta
IDK. I t-boned a deer in my Fiesta. All that happened to me was the leg airbag deployed. Destroyed the front, but I was unhurt. Miss that car.
If you are anticipating for a higher resale value then i guess you're into a buy and sell industry, not a buy to own and enjoy the unit....
Ford Fiesta is the best
Fiesta has the value proposition which is why it should be the winner in this competition. That 2 grand means a lot in this segment. If you don't drive a long distance like my farther, that is more than what he spends on gas a year.
Fit all the way :-)
The Fiesta and Focus both have the junky 6 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Ford does not have a fix for the bad design of that automatic transmission. That is why people are giving away their Fiestas.
Let's keep in mind the Fiesta which is now going 5 YEARS on the market...is beat by a brand new car from Honda. Nice upgrade Honda.
Fiesta
I drive the fiesta cause it just looks cooler than the fit.
For longer ownership, I give the nod to the Ford, simply because as you get further and further out, the money you save going in (Fords are always cheaper if you wait for sales and rebates and negotiate well) makes up for the resale value you lose.
wow
FIT FIT FIIIIT!!!!!
Fiesta ST is the car Ford set up for a performance ride the Fit has nothing that comes close. price gos up on the Fiesta ST but it's hardly a large jump from the loaded Honda
The Fit is significantly quicker that the Fiesta? If it were half a second or more, then IMO that would be true, but a tenth of a second?
Ecoboost and Ken Block
i like the whole good cop bad cop type thing going on here with you guys
I'd take the Fiesta hands down. And that green paint on the Fiesta is magnificent
Miguel Garcia .
Green cars are a no,no!!
Especially for ' girls ' !!
Worth remembering when selling on etc !!
Bingo
Value: FIT❗️
i don't care who win!
but i love my fiesta.. the end!
Where are these cars built? Get a European built & specced Fiesta Ecoboost Titanium 123 bhp if you enjoy driving, there is a reason it's Fords best seller.
The fit needs to offer a sedan model
Honda city is the fit sedan model
CVTs are mind numbing. I would rather die than own one.
The Fiesta ecoboost will be faster than the fit if you don't granny shift it.
I choose Ford Fiesta
Put the FIT in L gear in the LX and you do zero to 60 in 7 SEC.
Honda Jazz Engine failure rate is very high.....
Fit all the way
do the fiesta st vs ....wait no Honda doesn't have anything because that would be fun .
The Honda is $2,000 dollars more than a Fiesta, this is not chump change like the Honda guy has people think.. How about putting $2K worth of upgrades on the Fiesta , then do the comparison??
Look at resale value. After 5 years, the Honda will be worth well more.
Honda fit for me
Fit wins all day long! it HAS to, I`ve just bought one, 1.4si- love it!
Honda fit is the best
