I have '10 Fit Sport and got a '15 in September. Really like them both. The navi app is $60. I've read many mediocre reviews. Still I want to get it. Thanks for this review.
I've been watching different reviews on the 2015 honda fit and this is the only one that mentions about syncing up with your phone for navigation. Thanks for the info Jeff!
Testing this car this week and found some essential benefits, like low threshold for older dogs. No need for ramps or carrying the pet. The S mode is the one you wannna be!
At 80 mph on a level surface and no wind, engine rpm's are not a lot more than 2000. So it should cruise fine at 90. Sport mode with paddle shifters actually REDUCES how much acceleration that the CVT can "extract" from the engine. 1. you waste time shifting because the engine is momentarily disconnected from the wheels. 2. each time you shift the engine drops down to a lower rpm, with less power and less torque than you would have if you left the choice of pulley ratios and engine speed to the CVT. With the CVT, the engine revs up to the optimum speed for power and torque and instead of going down and up like a yo-yo, going below the optimum revs and then above, STAYS PUT at that optimum rpm - while the TRANSMISSION does all the work of bringing the wheels up to speed. With the throttle pedal to the floor, the engine will rev up to near redline. So you get there sooner. To those used to a manual gearbox or automatic planetary gearbox, It doesn't FEEL like it is accelerating - but it is ACTUALLY accelerating faster. How is good gas mileage a "complaint"? The CVT gets both better acceleration AND better gas mileage than the manual.
The Hooniverse, if you want to really pull your hair out over the CVT go to the Honda Cars in Canada website. There you will be able to see that you can build a Honda Fit EX-L with NAV and get the manual transmission. Nice eh? ;-)
I bought one and I was wondering if it's normal when you turn it on for it to be loud? The ac is weak and it takes awhile to cool the car. And that's at max ac. Other than that it's a cool little car. I average around 33 miles a gallon. Which to me isn't very impressive. It's suppose to get 38 mpg. On the highway though I do get around 41 mpg. Just it's loud as hell on start up. And I'll be honest it's kind of loud on the road too. I think I even heard it squeak when I turned on the ac. Which is a big wtf to me since it's a brand new car. My 2011 Kia soul never did that. And ac is damn good on it.
Nice video, you need a windscreen though. Also at 2:06, I think you mean drop down to the EX or LX. I think the LX and the base model are the same thing. : ) But I love all your points. Well done. I also love the screen and its ability to hook my phone up via HDMI cable. For example, I listened to your video in my Fit, while driving it!
From a one year owner of this vehicle...I have to disagree on almost everything this guy says. The driving position is horrible, the seats are uncomfortable. Every other month this car has had a new recall. The gas tank is so small I have to fill up every week and the car drones badly when accelerating.
put a turbo or supercharger in this baby and update your review. I'm waiting for the november auto show to see what other cars are coming out. Have my eye on the honda fit (if they address the android user issue), porsche cayman, or tesla 3.
Erkal Well, if you want a larger car that is quieter and rides better, but gets lower mpg and that doesn't have a hatchback or magic rear seat design because the fuel tank is under the rear seat, and is going to be replaced with a new design in a year or so.
just bought a fit. this is the best review i've seen of it. thank you

Probably the most entertaining review I've seen so far for the 2015 Honda Fit. Thanks for the review.
well thank YOU for saying that
I don't think I caught it, but did he mention the side view camera? It is visible on the touch screen when he indicates to change lanes at 8:18

The fuel tank is under the driver so when you crash you go BOOM!
"it's not enjoyable. it's just doesn't make me want to kill myself. " LOL

mydealstash Yes, LX sounds like Luxury model, but here it means cheap strippo model.
Good stuff. First video of yours I've watched and I'll definitely check out some more.
The only new (affordable) car i would buy would be a base 6 speed Fit or a Fiesta. But I'm liking the Fit better
Lots of aftermarket too, and VTEC
does it have a sun roof? damn cool. Back in India you don't get sunroof.
Nice review. Thanks
very good review.. just got my fit. but here in singapore its a 1.3 fit and 1.5 honda jazz. but still good enough for the 1.3
*sub-compact*
This is the same class as the Fiesta, Polo, and Yaris. The Civic, Focus, Golf and Corolla are compacts.
lol dat ending
What the apps call? For navi
"ive got an inch an a half of head room"...LOL...thats a lot more than a inch 1/2....6:11
