Quick correction on my part. Near the end of the video I named an award the game received from the Game Awards. The game did receive this award, but it was from the Indie Game Awards, my bad. Citizen sleeper did however, get nominated for Games for Impact in this years Game Awards, but was not the final selection.
Just finished the game and came across this video. Love your storytelling style! One thing I loved about the game was the Eye itself. Having to explore and travel to different areas for different things really gave it a sense of interconnectedness and place - like every place you go to is part of a larger system working together and interacting in interesting ways. One small thing as well: the lottery system didn't only include corporate employees but long-time workers as well (someone needs to keep the ship running after all). Not super important, just something I learnt in a different branch of that story.
Hello Mr Nobody, This is one of only 2 times in all my years on RUclips i stumbled across a small channel that gives me a good feeling. A feeling about your future. The other channel being life of Boris when he had 800 subs. This content is honestly one of the best storytelling type content I've ever seen. I can promise you right now, if you keep this up you will later be amongst the greatest. In any case, you sir, have my full support. 🤝
I’m the first and only comment a day after release?! Unreal. This is some good stuff man, keep keeping at it! Looking forward to seeing the channel grow.
As a type 1 diabetic I always found this game to resonate with my own personal life. The constant need to make a lot of money to keep yourself alive, the ever-changing landscape of care, not knowing who to talk to or where to go with your limited time. I still go back and play it from time to time, but now that I understand the game, it no longer hits so hard in the feelings.
Man I love this game. You’re doing everyone who sees this a massive favour by introducing them to Citizen Sleeper. Keep it up! Also, in case you’ve missed it, the sequel narrative trailer’s come out, and it seems AMAZING. Check it out if you haven’t.
I love to think that each class of sleeper became a robot for a different reason. As a Machinist, you were once a prisoner in jail for some crime or another, most likely non-violent crimes like theft or vandalism. You were approached with the offer to lighten the sentence as a volunteer sleeper. I mostly believe this just because the pants are orange like a prisoner uniform. This character would chose to leave the eye after building the Sidereal Horizon with Lem and Mina. They would want to run from danger and possibly see their work on the ship succeed. An Operator would likely choose to become a sleeper more willingly. They would have a genuine interest in the technology and see it as a way to become wealthy. Unfortunately, they were possibly lied to about the consequences of this decision and regret it immensely. They seem very calm and cold as if this life was a mistake and the comfort from others isn't enough to improve their situation This character would likely stay away from the human drama and focus more on their strange new neural link with the eye's systems out of curiosity and potential. Culminating in the discovery of the gardener and choosing to leave the physical realm for a new one. The Extractor is my favourite one. Like the operator, they chose to become a sleeper but did so knowing the change was permanent. They did this because they personally believed that this was a positive step for humanity. This sleeper model was tougher and more capable than flash and blood and they wanted to be powerful. So when the body started to fail, when a gunman tried to hunt you down, and when the eye itself was under attack you fight it. I love to think the extractor becomes protective of their new home and defends it out of spite. An extractor is all about outlasting everyone else.
Hey man, I Just found your channel through your Valheim video. Only 1.23k subs is a damn shame, the editing, commentary and general story of these videos are just amazing. Keep up this brilliant work man, you found yourself a new sub and i am sure you will blow up soon! Keep it up and thank you for the content!
Damn you storytell the amazing writing of citizen sleeper fantastically I love this game the atmosphere the soundtrack the writing the characters is such a great package.
I just finished your valheim video and my god, it's amazing. You're going to get big real quick I feel. I loved Your story based native on valheim and I hope it continues. (haven't watched this vid yet)
You referred to Sabine the doctor with she/her pronouns. The game only uses they/them pronouns for Sabine. The developer, who is also nonbinary, has made it clear Sabine is nonbinary. Nonbinary representation is rare and they were one of my favorite characters on my playthrough. Great video otherwise. Just worthwhile to correct/get right.

All in good time. But thank you for watching! I’m actually a little proud of this one.

You can try subnautica if you want
Subnautica is an awesome game! I beat it a while back, so I’ve been thinking about either revisiting it, or just jumping to 2.
I’m so in love with you videos

This is a juxtaposition of William Gibson's "Neuromancer."
No, Citizen Sleeper - A Tale of *escaping precarity.*

Wow it has been six years since I was last recommended a channel of such a disproportionate difference in between quality and view count.
Good but the background theme is too noisy
