It's re-inclusion in FL Studio can not be overlooked to users like us. I am not exaggerating when I say that it is the BEST thing to happen to FL Studio in years for myself ... in terms of backwards compatibility if nothing else! So glad that now, hundreds of my old projects files can be salvaged and sound exactly as I originally designed them to sound. This is truly a BLESSSING!!! :D

i too dislike Patcher's MiniMap and scrollbars. The zoom marquee works the same as it does in the Playlist and Pianoroll. CTL+RMB = zoom out full, CTL+RMB+drag = zoom marquee. Love that automation points accept typed in values which match the target parameter -- even if it means using units of the first link. Love being able to select and edit numerous automation points too. Thanks for your thorough description of new features, Trancit :)
The Lasso Zoom works when you draw a circle with your cursor around the area you want to zoom in. It has already existed to select i.e. midi notes in the piano roll. The function can be turned on or off in the drop down menu in the top left somewhere. I don’t use that tool a lot but sometimes it’s nice to select only a few notes in a section. With the lasso zoom I don’t know if it’s any faster then short cuts. Good video tho

The mixer issues were such a pain to work around, I had to have the channel muted while Edison recorded to properly capture my talkbox with VST synths. Too bad I already moved to Logic Pro.
7:50 i got so hyped when i read it , then i realized it doesnt apply to the automation clips in the playlist....Also there is still no indication at which bar you are at in the new envelope editor, many people already mentioned it in the forums. I hope they add that so you can precisely control the automation, now its not great. 8:51 this is great, but its so nested inside menus that i wont every use it. Opening the mixer is even faster imo instead of menu diving and going 4 levels deep 😅 11:02 i dont mind the minimap since you can disable it. But i hate that i have to zoom out of every patcher instance that i have in any project. I havent tested beta 5 to see if its fixed, but usually its just zoomed it for whatever reason, pretty annoying. I already reported that on the forums...
I'm confused about people talking about the soundfont player being a crucial part of the update... Couldn't you have just put the soundfonts into direct wave and have everything play like normal there?
Basically yes but: 1. The real SF Player got it´s lovers and from what I´ve read works better with SFs than DirectWave. 2. People who want to open older projects where they used the SF Player weren´t able to do so properly and without converting everything manually... So at the very end it seems to be useful for some...

Once again not saying it would be easy or convenient, but it was possible, so I think people could've at least tried to do that instead of give up and believe that there's no hope of getting their project back till soundfont player is back
If you mean older projects including the old version of the soundfonts player yes, of course... To be safe and if you got older songs with it included you should probably try out the beta version to be able to report bugs and misbehaviour and make sure it will work for you. It´s a seperate install which doesn´t kill the last official version so no risk here.
There is always a big discussion about that... For me it´s never a problem as I am used to involve Patcher as much as I can into my workflow... That´s the best workaround for the moment and probably the next 1-2 years... I doubt we will see a new Mixer before...

When you are sound designing or addind fx to a sound Lets say doing a hardstyle kick, screech, etc. Maybe you want to create a loop build up with claps snares crashes noise and hats with It. Then you need an fx like endless smile, lp filter, freq shifter and a kickstart maybe. Also if you are mixing the group you would need to add a pre and post eq, reverb to glue and compres It. If you want some chorus and add something more you are going to be limited. Also in the master, I have métric ab, span for checking freq ms, Spectrum analyzer and a maat meter just in case. And if I want to start adding fx to the master buss like little eq, compression and little limiting there Will be a point where no More fx can be added. Not a big problem now because I started using patcher like crazy :D I also like to create lots of Parallel inside the track because It seems faster than actually routig in the mixer
Hi, i need some help. I upload my tracks from my Tascam Dp 006 into FL studio and put an EQ on it and the Soundgoodizer. It sounds ok but i know it could sound better. Can anyone show me how to get a better sound utilizing just what i have?

@@cassetteo yo check the new update and try this 😉 I messed with it a bit and I found a way you can punch in like pro tools with out having to mute the previous track or having to make a new track!!! If you wanna record stop and pick up where you left off, record vocal stacks or layer vocals without recording your previous takes into the new one, have your options like so “This first part is important! On your record options do the recommended External input only for some reason having it on anything else will record your last take with the new one, this is also important! for Monitor External input, have it OFF! This keeps you from hearing yourself twice coming out the master track, now all that’s left is choosing your recording style, if you’re looking for punching in like protools or if you’ve done a verse now you wanna add some adlibs real quick, go with blend recording that way you can hear your last take and rap along with it or punch in on a line of a verse or if you doing vocal harms you can listen to the previous note and record along with it to harmonize!! Or if you keep getting stuck on one part but wanna keep going at it till you get a good take do loop recording and it should mute each take for you like normal” It took years to get hear but god dammit recording in FL is finally work flow efficient especially with the assign audio track feature that automatically groups all your recording takes to one track!! This shit is so lit and it’s only going up from here 😭😭😭🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@reisaki18 FL Studio has got this too: It´s called Audio and Instrument tracks! Drop an audio file on the playlist header and it gives you the option to create an audio track (which you can do manually too)... every audio file placed onto this track is automatically routed to the same assigned mixer track... Drop a generator onto the track header and it creates an Instrument track... the instrument is automatically routed to the next free mixer track!
And they still haven't fixed the pitch bend range? You manually have to set it to 12 instead of 2, but if you save and reload a project, the playback will be broken because everything reset back to 2. This is the easiest issue they've been ignoring for over a decade, no matter how much people beg them to fix it. I'm never going back to this joke of a DAW.
Out of curiosity I just checked and your claim isn´t true at all...! FL Studio saves these changes just fine for native plugins and VST Instruments... If you change the Pitchbend range, save the project and reload it (even with closing FL Studio in between) all changes are recalled as you left it! So sorry but this is a thumbs down!
just wish they'd add a function where you can put all files in 'stretch' mode at once

Is there an option to undo sample replacement? It happens so often that I accidentally replace a sample on a timeline while scrolling through packs
