    My family and I have camped a lot. We started when the kids were very young. I can't even count how many times we camped on national land. Feeling very grateful that nothing ever happened. Now, I'm all paranoid to camp. If you look into all the many missing people from the national parks it's scary AF! Thank your efforts to educate and share information to keep people safe.

    Bless the souls that never returned home . I hope they are all at peace . They went missing in a beautiful place . Hopefully it's even more beautiful where they went . 😇❤️

    So, you can fly out a 60 lbs backpack, but not a 170-ish pound man in distress? Then, you wait 40 days before declaring him missing? Silly.

    Keep up the good work in bringing these strange national park disappearances into the light of public inquiry. In case #2, the boy was riding a tricycle when he went missing, but you made no mention of whether the tricycle also went missing? Not that it makes a lot of difference, but it still bothers me not to know.

      it's pretty safe place only 127,000 people you can drive 40mins and be alone not see any body. I will tell a story of when I was a kid i was building a tree house out in the woods by myself there was no body else around. out of no were I got this deep Dark overwhelming feeling of being watched I couldn't shake it iv never felt Fear like it in my 28 year's on this planet. I grab my pack and ran as fast as I could to the point of collapseing at the wood's track entry. Iv been in some pretty extreme situation's in my life all most died twice i didn't feel Fear like I Did that day.

      Or maybe a psychology class for your response. Jean was likely in somewhat of a troubled state-of-mind after watching this vid, that was particularly filled with cases involving youngsters or small children. Yes, pain can affect performance. What John Prine expressed in the song "Souvenirs", "Broken hearts and dirty windows - make life difficult to see - that's why last night and this morning - always look the same to me".

      Tim Eubanks: I will say what I said before on your comment about this: have a GPS emergency transponder AND a gun. if you start feeling weird, sit down, keep your mind with you and fire off your beacon. avoid removing shoes or clothes. I'm serious!!!! Lol Otherwise, without the gun AND transponder, I would STRONGLY suggest not doing the hike alone. Go with at least one other person, preferably one who is an outdoorsman and knows how to hike and what to do!

And then you have the far out possibility of alien abduction, and big foot I know the last two are kinda out there. But ya just never know. As for me I always take a firearm when I go into the woods.and I never go alone

What an asshole that pilot is for not helping him out. Probably made the kid feel like an idiot or weak and talked him into just continuing the hike. Rusty, I have to call you to task on one of these disappearances. On number 4 Kevin Jay Ayotte, you actually have a picture of one year (22 months)old Aaron Anderson who disappeared on April 7th 1989 in Pine City MN. Your story also has some misinformation regarding the nearness of state parks. From where Kevin went missing Old Mill state park is over 130 miles away, Voyageurs is over 180 miles away while Mississippi River state park is over 200 miles away. Technically the disappearance doesn't qualify as a state park disappearance, even though it is a very sad and mystifying one.

    • @melaniewagner9300
      @melaniewagner9300 7 лет назад +1

      that is not good. I go to pine city often. its beautiful there is the chegnawatana , snake river, cross lake and the st Croix river, crooked lake and devils lake. I think the waterways are connected. I found a mile at least of bf structures leans x's multiple t pees near a trail along with first time Ive seen toed prints it had rained and the mud it was adeep big round toes. I wasn't looking for bf just going for a walk with a friend. He doesn't know anything about bf but he smelled and mentioned the "dead road kill smell" then we saw the carrion birds Banning state park is about half hour from there also. And their is a rock quary near very beautiful

    What seemed like yesterday, I sat out here on my front lawn under our big oak tree at the start of June, watching the latest vid of disappearances on this channel, and I commented something to the effect of, I fear for those who will go missing this summer, as the season was just upon us at that time. I'd thought about those people who had no idea then that they would make this list one day soon. Now, fast forward, here we are, post Labor Day, summer season is over, along with a new batch of people missing in state and national parks..so strange how life works. And lastly, I sure do miss that beautiful yet sorrowful intro music in all the previous vids..it went perfectly along with the subject matter..Rusty, please bring it back..

      Fair enough :) but it is great to be in the great outdoors. I biked the east coast of the US alone a couple years ago. And love the peace outside and in the forest. And is also a soldier in the danish army. But of course I have tried the creepy feeling of someone watching you.... but you should still consider going to the forest :) often it's all in our mind.

    I think that it is terrible that that helicopter pilot didn't help Jeffrey because it wasn't considered "a life threatening situation." I think most of these events have a logical explanation. People get lost and starve or die from injuries or exposure, they drown, get eaten by bears, etc. I don't think there is anything mysterious going on here. These disappearances don't deter me from hiking, camping, or having other fun outdoor adventures.

    You can read my other comments about my most recent solo hike, but I just have to say this. We are talking about a minute portion of hikers who go missing under strange circumstance. In 2012 alone, there were 282 million people who visited national parks. Rusty has a grand total of 190 missing peoples cases that span over decades of time. So if in one year of those decades of time rusty covers, 282 million people visited national parks, its safe to say that the number of visitors to national parks is in the hundreds of billions if not somewhere in the tens of trillions.
    Lets just say David Paulides' books showcase every single strange missing person's case. That puts the number at about 1,600. Ill even bump him up to 2,000 even though I know he doesn't have that many missing persons cases in his books, but for simple math purposes ill make it 2,000. Now his books cover singles cases that span the time frame of over 6 decades. Remeber 2012 alone saw 282,000,000 people visit national parks. If all of David's cases happened in 2012, were talking less than .00071% of hikers go missing under strange and unexplainable circumstances.
    So if we are doing the math and not only bumping David's cases up 400ish people, but severely underestimating the number of people who have visited national parks in that same span of time to say 500 billion. We are talking about a .0000004% chance of going missing.
    .0000004%, a number WAY higher than the actual number, and some of you are now scared to go into a national forest? You are now scared to go camping?
    If you are scared to visit a national park based on the percentages of missing person cases spanning decades of time, its a wonder to me that you ever leave your house at all!
    Edit: one more thing to think about. Fear sells more products than anything else. Like missing 411 books for example. To suggest there is some great conspiracy in the media to cover up strange disappearances in national parks is absurd. With all the sociatal problems yet to be solved, do you really think such a minute problem is even worth discussing? Aliens and nephilim and Bigfoot and interdementional portals and all this bullshit about 1600 David Paulides' missing person's cases. There is some great conspiracy and government cover up for something so minute, some number so small calculations have to abbreviate the number? You are off of your rocker if you think that is the case. You are truly beyond insane to suggest there is some great conspiracy to cover up these national park's missing person's cases.
    If you are scared to go hiking or camping due to Rusty's videos or David Paulides' books, it is a wonder to me you even had the courage to drive to the books store to get David's book or the stones to open your web browser to order it online or have the mental strength and stability to look up Rusty's videos on RUclips. I mean, the anxiety you must feel knowing that the chances of being struck dead by lightning are 1,000 times greater at least. Now think of all the other more likely scenarios in which you could die. How sad is it to live your life in such irrational fear? This sort of mental illness has to be treatable. Cognitive therapy is warranted at the very least. But how will you have the courage to seek that help when so many dangers lie in your path? 😉

      Irrational? If you knew it was your time to be abducted and have god what knows happen to you, i doubt you would go, most of us realise we are mortals, its like going out at night, 2am millions of people still out and about only a few dissapear, still doesn't sound like a good idea to go walking around late at night to prove how brave and naive you may be....

    • @bradleymcewen4654
      @bradleymcewen4654 6 лет назад

      I think all of these people going on about aliens and bigfoot are wrong, think simpler, people in the outdoors most likely have healthy organs, mostly men that dissapear seemingly without trace, it would probably take a dedicated crook 5 mins to take one shoe and run away and throw it somewhere and come back. There are some very rich people who dont like waiting for organs, i would also suggest cartels/drug traffickers as possible causes, also to make a scent seemingly dissapear in thin air you could literally just bag up the surrounding dirt and take it with, any experienced mountaineer would know the scent seeps into the ground below the person, remove the person, remove the dirt, no trace, i am in australia but i used to have this hidden spot i would go to in the bush and i would see no problem in spending close to 10 minutes trying to clear my tracks so someone wouldnt find my spot. I agree though people get so crazy talking about fallen angels and shit i can see why you would swim to the other side, look into some of these things if you want to know more, its not the first time somebody ended up dead or missing after being placed in custody, people given to drug cartels as gifts.

      I have no idea how you could use the figure 500 billion with accuracy either, probably not a B mate.
