Something that I tell all young people starting to ride is to learn how to do all of the maintenance items on your bike yourself. It’s fun, most of it is pretty easy and you will save a ton of money. Things like oil and filter change, brake pads and brake fluid flush, coolant flush and especially lubing and adjusting your chain.
I did everything and more on my old CBR, with this bike I’ve been letting the shop do it so it doesn’t cause a problem in the future for the warranty. Trust me I would if I could😂🫡 you’re right I find peace working on my bike. I couldn’t tell you how many times I tore apart my old CBR for fun, not kidding😅 anyways Michael I hope you enjoyed the video!

I have a 2023 BMW S1000 RR with M package in white and carbon fibre package, I love this bike, I agree with the exhaust, get rid of that bulky catalytic converter, and install a full titanium exhaust system, it's a bit expensive, but worth it, sounds great and reducing the weight of the bike, good video mate, enjoy your BMW S1000RR.

Man, I’m almost sold on one of these S1000RR’s. I originally wanted an R1 or RSV4 for the sound and low/mid range power band and sound but the quality and German build is just so solid on the BMW. I’ll watch the rest of your videos because they answer a lot of my questions.
For everyone, make sure you’re UM/UIM insurance limits are high as the party that hits you has low limits that exceed your injuries (and you are not at fault) you own insurance can pay you out that UM/UIM limits and cannot raise your premium. Also, always get an attorney if you find that other party has 100k limits

There’s a lot of people that just focus on the positives but there are ALWAYS some negatives to everything. The exhaust definitely puts a smile on my face every time! If you have the finances for this bike I’d say pull the trigger and get it, in my personal opinion it is the best in its class!

Had exactly the same problem. To pay for the credit is no problem but the insurance was the big point. I'm 22 myself and I pay 125€ per month with a special BMW insurance offer. Normally it would be around 400€ only for the insurance per month. Now I pay 550€ per month with credit and insurance.
Fellow Wisconsin boy!! What’s up man. You made a lot of great points about the 23’ S1K. I just bought a 23 S1k as well white and black full carbon. I’m 27 and insurance like you said for me is half what you pay. I also did a stage 2 bren tune immediately and got a full Akra titanium pipe with that 30 pound cat obviously taken off. DISCLAIMER…. If you get that Bren tuning and there are any recalls they will have to take out your ECU reprogram it to the stock tune do the recall and then back to the stage 2 tune. About an extra $200 a trip to the dealership for any maintenance. Don’t run any other oil than what BMW puts in it from factory. Any major engine work they will test the oil and if that chemical isn’t in there your fucked. Found that out on my old S1k. Other than that beautiful bike my man!!! Wish I would have had mine at 21
Good video. I picked mine up two days ago. I now have 47 miles on it. The dead spot is probably my biggest gripe. Even in “road” mode it’s extremely noticeable. Coming from the tuning industry I understand, and get it. They’ve gotta play nice with the epa on emissions and decibels and who knows what other stuff that was thrown their way. I have the white one but liked the red so much I put another deposit down on red with carbon pkg and forged wheels. Good video, off to put some miles on mine now.

I got my 600 miles done in a week here in Wisconsin we randomly had a week full of 80 degree days and I couldn’t pass on the opportunity. Now she is almost at 1,200 miles:)

Is the bike harder to lean with the larger rear tire on the white one? If I’m not mistaken, the M package is standard on the white one and has a 200 Rear tire.

2023 Kawasaki ZX-10R has all that except the heated grips. Cruise control, traction, control, launch control (wheelie) quick shifter, etc. all for the low low price $17,400. And it looks like a Deceptacon.
Personally I take the Kawasaki ZX10 over this if it wasn't for the color I hate that color on a ZX10 I love this color however the million-dollar question is the color worth $4,000 more for this than a Kawasaki. 😢 why does Kawasaki have ugly green color I wish they'd have red.

Don’t worry man for my MV August 1000 RR I pay the same $215 for insurance is the cheapest for full coverage no matter your age.. love the bike it pays to be different from everybody else and unique. That’s my next bike by the way lol it was between that one and the MV and I got the NV so my next one is that one love the color..
I’m in the process of working a deal on this bike now. Same color. Trading in my r1 plus cash so I hope I can get a payment around $200 a month. Not surprised the exhaust cost you all that money but it sure sounds good. I will give you advice with insurance. Bundle! Bundle your car, motorcycle together. I bundle my car truck and motorcycle and I pay less then you Do for full coverage for all 3. Look at companies who do bundles. I use Geico but also progressive rate was about the same for me also. Sure I’m 34 but I have had tons of speeding tickets. If I don’t bundle my prices are like yours each vehicle/motorcycle so something to think about. Nice bike!

hey when cruising steady speed and you downshift(from5 to 4) do u use clutch? U cut the throttle while shifting? If i am on throttle and downshifting without clutch, its not so smooth so i use clutch. Its smooth only when upshifting while accelerate, and downshift while engine braking. Nice bike! I still have the cat on mine
I do not use the clutch, you will have a little kick. BUT it is still super smooth compared to most bikes. If that’s what your comfortable with keep using the clutch it doesn’t hurt it. Same with mine it’s smooth only when you have some throttle up shifting, and thank you! Get an exhaust when you can I promise it’ll make it a whole new bike!
I think the "dead spot" is simply just getting into the powerband. Any inline 4 won't be making much torque below a certain rpm, especially with variable valve timing. It's that "vtec yo".
😂😂it’s that vtec lmao, and no that’s false. If you look at Bren Tuning RUclips “BT MOTO” look at there 2023 S1000RR tune video. It is heavily restricted in 2,3,4, and 5th gear. 1000cc bikes the powerband should be around 4-6000 RPMS not 10,000 like a 600cc. It genuinely feels like a 600cc at times. It’s not what I paid for and it sucks. Good news is however my Bren tune is on the way:) hope this helps a bit
They show on there video too that they have 100% throttle in 2nd gear cut back to 70% until you have 10,000 RPMs. BMW has that standard, all they do is put the throttle to where it should be in the bike :)

Mines coming in the mail soon. “BT Moto” if you look that up online however, you will be greeted with there website and you can pick the “Stage 1 Handheld Tuner” super easy. And there are also more tutorials online, they are also a VERY trusted tune company for BMW highly trusted by many. I’d wait on buying it though because I have some news dropping with them soon and I could save you some extra money😉❤️
Basically they send you a device that reads your bikes files you send them the stock file and they get back to you in a day or 2 with a modded file with everything you’ve done to the bike and make the air/fuel ratio great. To put things simple. They have amazing customer service I recommend them 100%.

EVEN if you are older you WILL pay out the nose if you have a bad driving record and that is so easy to end up with high performance vehicles. Gone are the days at least in California where you can ride without insurance now even if you pay cash you still have to have liability etc....

I just traded my mv dragster rr in for a 23 rr. That mv was a great bike I loved it but the news with ktm and parts availability is crazy bad. So pay for a bike I can’t get parts for or a bike I can get parts for. I’m excited to get mine in 90 days.
I got same one but did Bren Tune stage 1-3, E85 for 110 octane, flow stacks and Brocks Exhaust ($6,500 in modifications) it will do 230 Mph and fastest bike around (I am 220 lbs too ) no losses. Before the tune I absolutely HATED the cycle and the dead spot is gone with the tune its entirely different cycle. Tickets hahaha they have tried but can't catch me!!! The traction control alone saved my life many times from full on lock on front brake and not cause back tire to flip over on me to back tire slipping out from gravel and dtc catching it and restoring traction w out spinning out on full throtle being leaned over, it tops faster then any other cycle.
I have mine for a month or so , great bike ! Can’t wait for the end of this month for my 600miles appointment .i am 40 and payed £2200for 1 year insurance in Uk . That’s because I have 8months since I passed A license 😅
Hi, I have a 2022 s1000rr m carbon. I am 63 and old own a propane co. and have a hazmat, tanker, air brake endorsement and have a perfect driving record and my insurance is over $2300.00 per year!!!! Till you get the Bren tune the bike is just about unrideable. I have the Ktech through rod forks and shock, the stuff that comes on the bike is really bad on the street!!!!! ( I weigh 265 with leathers and boots and it still had way too much low speed compression) Might be ok on a track....NOT the street. Thanks, Dave
That’s just ridiculous mine is $2,500 a year, I’m 21 with 2 little tickets on my record. Crazy how it’s much it varies in different states. You are absolutely correct in the Bren tune part. I am 59 years old I have a GSXR Hayabusa that would blow this thing into orbit and I'm paying 350 a year full coverage I'm not kidding you safeco. Perfect record perfect credit score I guess for some reason my insurance always been very low and I'm in a very expensive area in Connecticut.

Abty regrets buying a 2023 model vs like a 2021? Im seeing some 2021 with 5k for like 18k. Thinking of getting one of these of gsxr 750. I can afford the Bmw, but is it worth it??? To you it is!
Also, if you wanna save a few extra grand. Go with the 2021 model. If you are a heavy track rider I’d say the 2023 model is the best option for you because if slide control etc etc. The BMW is a beast of a machine and I have a smile on my face every time I see it in my garage. I hope that gives you some more information.
If you can tolerate the color I would go with that Kawasaki ZX10 amazing and it's loaded with every option possible in fact I rode both bikes I would take the Kawasaki over this if it wasn't for the color I hate Kawasaki colors that green is ugly if you like it the bike is every bit of this bike and has all the options for 17500 how can you go wrong.

Surprisingly State Farm was the best option for me at $215/month. If that doesn’t work, try to find some local insurance companies around that area and not some big companies. I almost had one for $50 a month but I’m not 25 yet. Anyways, hope you enjoy your new beautiful bike!
Bud do you have a motorcycle license I used to pay crazy 2k insurance for 4 bikes Panigale v4s s1000rr r1 and aprilia rsv4 factory now I pay 3k a year license did a massive difference
Man I’m a beginner and I’ve saved enough to buy this bike full MSRP even after tax, but 1000cc’s sounds monstrous for me. What bike would you recommend for beginners? It can be cheaper as well, and preferably because in MS it’s 24k. 🤣🤣🤣
If you’re just started I recommend something small and work your way up! If you’ve never drove a stick shift car before or a dirt bike I recommend a used Honda grom 125cc, or a CBR 300cc. They are both perfect bikes I recommend used for both because chances are you’re gonna drop your first bike at a stand still (I have twice). You can always sell them later on and get a new 600cc. (I recommend a year or 2 on the 125 or 300). After you get your 600 I recommend 2 years on the 600 alone, work on every possible aspect of riding then if you feel the need upgrade to an 1000! Sounds like a lot of work, but man you’ll thank me in the long run. They are dangerous machines but if you learn how to properly ride a bike you will be an amazing rider.
I started with a Ninja 1000SX, in rain mode a month at least to learn and get use to it. Comfortable and smooth bike. Also, nearly the same price a very fun bike is the Aprilia RS660. I suggest to practice to maneuver at low speed, practice your stops, your turns and sharp turn, and so on, because intersections is the worst place to be. People don't see you, you have to pay attention for yourself. You can't fight a car or you loose big time. Comeback home safe it's the only thing which matter. Just be cautious maintain distances, and ride fast when there is no cars around you.

Depends on what state you live in, as well as how many tickets you have. That sucks man. I lost hope of my insurance dropping at 25 because of this comment😂
@S1K DK I have clean record, BUT iv never insured a bike ever in my life always rode strait goon. The coverage I found was good price compared to $10,000.00 to start it and $1100.00 a month after. Every person said it was the highest quote they have seen in long time. I think maybe I can finally do this for the first time in my life.

Midpipe cat delete is the cheap way out. I spent 1000s of dollars on this bike I can spend 1000 more to make it sound top notch. They also re structure the who manifold to make it sound better and preform better.
Re getting the tune? There goes your warranty. Funny how many worry about getting services at the shop paying extra because they want to protect their warranty and then turn around and get a "tune" which instantly irrevokably destroys much of your warranty BTW I think Euro 5 is MUCH more responsible for restrictions than the USA ....I could be wrong but always it seems like the blame is in Euro 5 restrictions which the USA just inherits
No😳I’d say a CBR 300 or a grom 125 is the best for first bikes. This is the best bike to get into the super bike world. It is extremely fast and not forgiving. I wouldn’t suggest it to anybody for being a first bike.

2023 Kawasaki ZX-10R has all that except the heated grips. Cruise control, traction, control, launch control (wheelie) quick shifter, etc. all for the low low price $17,400. And it looks like a Deceptacon.

Don’t worry man for my MV August 1000 RR I pay the same $215 for insurance is the cheapest for full coverage no matter your age.. love the bike it pays to be different from everybody else and unique. That’s my next bike by the way lol it was between that one and the MV and I got the NV so my next one is that one love the color..

Do for full coverage for all 3. Look at companies who do bundles. I use Geico but also progressive rate was about the same for me also. Sure I’m 34 but I have had tons of speeding tickets. If I don’t bundle my prices are like yours each vehicle/motorcycle so something to think about. Nice bike!

when cruising steady speed and you downshift(from5 to 4) do u use clutch? U cut the throttle while shifting? If i am on throttle and downshifting without clutch, its not so smooth so i use clutch. Its smooth only when upshifting while accelerate, and downshift while engine braking. Nice bike! I still have the cat on mine
I do not use the clutch, you will have a little kick. BUT it is still super smooth compared to most bikes. If that’s what your comfortable with keep using the clutch it doesn’t hurt it. Same with mine it’s smooth only when you have some throttle up shifting, and thank you! Get an exhaust when you can I promise it’ll make it a whole new bike!
You’re not supposed to downshift while on the throttle. You need to reduce rpm’s on down shifting and the bike auto blips the throttle on up shifting.
I think the "dead spot" is simply just getting into the powerband. Any inline 4 won't be making much torque below a certain rpm, especially with variable valve timing. It's that "vtec yo".
😂😂it’s that vtec lmao, and no that’s false. If you look at Bren Tuning RUclips “BT MOTO” look at there 2023 S1000RR tune video. It is heavily restricted in 2,3,4, and 5th gear. 1000cc bikes the powerband should be around 4-6000 RPMS not 10,000 like a 600cc. It genuinely feels like a 600cc at times. It’s not what I paid for and it sucks. Good news is however my Bren tune is on the way:) hope this helps a bit
They show on there video too that they have 100% throttle in 2nd gear cut back to 70% until you have 10,000 RPMs. BMW has that standard, all they do is put the throttle to where it should be in the bike :)

Mines coming in the mail soon. “BT Moto” if you look that up online however, you will be greeted with there website and you can pick the “Stage 1 Handheld Tuner” super easy. And there are also more tutorials online, they are also a VERY trusted tune company for BMW highly trusted by many. I’d wait on buying it though because I have some news dropping with them soon and I could save you some extra money😉❤️
Basically they send you a device that reads your bikes files you send them the stock file and they get back to you in a day or 2 with a modded file with everything you’ve done to the bike and make the air/fuel ratio great. To put things simple. They have amazing customer service I recommend them 100%.

EVEN if you are older you WILL pay out the nose if you have a bad driving record and that is so easy to end up with high performance vehicles. Gone are the days at least in California where you can ride without insurance now even if you pay cash you still have to have liability etc....

I just traded my mv dragster rr in for a 23 rr. That mv was a great bike I loved it but the news with ktm and parts availability is crazy bad. So pay for a bike I can’t get parts for or a bike I can get parts for. I’m excited to get mine in 90 days.

I got same one but did Bren Tune stage 1-3, E85 for 110 octane, flow stacks and Brocks Exhaust ($6,500 in modifications) it will do 230 Mph and fastest bike around (I am 220 lbs too ) no losses. Before the tune I absolutely HATED the cycle and the dead spot is gone with the tune its entirely different cycle. Tickets hahaha they have tried but can't catch me!!! The traction control alone saved my life many times from full on lock on front brake and not cause back tire to flip over on me to back tire slipping out from gravel and dtc catching it and restoring traction w out spinning out on full throtle being leaned over, it tops faster then any other cycle.

Hi, I have a 2022 s1000rr m carbon. I am 63 and old own a propane co. and have a hazmat, tanker, air brake endorsement and have a perfect driving record and my insurance is over $2300.00 per year!!!! Till you get the Bren tune the bike is just about unrideable. I have the Ktech through rod forks and shock, the stuff that comes on the bike is really bad on the street!!!!! ( I weigh 265 with leathers and boots and it still had way too much low speed compression) Might be ok on a track....NOT the street. Thanks, Dave
That’s just ridiculous mine is $2,500 a year, I’m 21 with 2 little tickets on my record. Crazy how it’s much it varies in different states. You are absolutely correct in the Bren tune part. Also, if you wanna save a few extra grand. Go with the 2021 model. If you are a heavy track rider I’d say the 2023 model is the best option for you because if slide control etc etc. The BMW is a beast of a machine and I have a smile on my face every time I see it in my garage. If you can tolerate the color I would go with that Kawasaki ZX10 amazing and it's loaded with every option possible in fact I rode both bikes I would take the Kawasaki over this if it wasn't for the color I hate Kawasaki colors that green is ugly if you like it the bike is every bit of this bike and has all the options for 17500 how can you go wrong.

Surprisingly State Farm was the best option for me at $215/month. If that doesn’t work, try to find some local insurance companies around that area and not some big companies. I almost had one for $50 a month but I’m not 25 yet. Anyways, hope you enjoy your new beautiful bike!

Man I’m a beginner and I’ve saved enough to buy this bike full MSRP even after tax, but 1000cc’s sounds monstrous for me. What bike would you recommend for beginners? It can be cheaper as well, and preferably because in MS it’s 24k. 🤣🤣🤣
If you’re just started I recommend something small and work your way up! If you’ve never drove a stick shift car before or a dirt bike I recommend a used Honda grom 125cc, or a CBR 300cc. They are both perfect bikes I recommend used for both because chances are you’re gonna drop your first bike at a stand still (I have twice). You can always sell them later on and get a new 600cc. (I recommend a year or 2 on the 125 or 300). After you get your 600 I recommend 2 years on the 600 alone, work on every possible aspect of riding then if you feel the need upgrade to an 1000! Sounds like a lot of work, but man you’ll thank me in the long run. They are dangerous machines but if you learn how to properly ride a bike you will be an amazing rider.
I started with a Ninja 1000SX, in rain mode a month at least to learn and get use to it. Comfortable and smooth bike.
Also, nearly the same price a very fun bike is the Aprilia RS660.
I suggest to practice to maneuver at low speed, practice your stops, your turns and sharp turn, and so on, because intersections is the worst place to be.
People don't see you, you have to pay attention for yourself. You can't fight a car or you loose big time. Comeback home safe it's the only thing which matter.
Just be cautious maintain distances, and ride fast when there is no cars around you.

Midpipe cat delete is the cheap way out. I spent 1000s of dollars on this bike I can spend 1000 more to make it sound top notch. They also re structure the who manifold to make it sound better and preform better.
Re getting the tune? There goes your warranty. Funny how many worry about getting services at the shop paying extra because they want to protect their warranty and then turn around and get a "tune" which instantly irrevokably destroys much of your warranty BTW I think Euro 5 is MUCH more responsible for restrictions than the USA ....I could be wrong but always it seems like the blame is in Euro 5 restrictions which the USA just inherits

No😳I’d say a CBR 300 or a grom 125 is the best for first bikes. This is the best bike to get into the super bike world. It is extremely fast and not forgiving. I wouldn’t suggest it to anybody for being a first bike.
