Nice video with a great bike in it 🙂 I had an Intruder C800 K9 (2009-2020) and again got a 2003 VL800 Volusia earlier this year. For the price, these beasts have little to no competition, in terms of comfort, power, reliability and hell, even the looks. Ride hard & ride safe.
@5:03 - Dock Mike's - was just there this past Saturday. There's a 2004 Volusia for sale here in Delaware with bags, pipes, windscreen, etc. and 44k miles for only $2k. Thinking hard about it!
that s how much I paid for my 2002 pipes only. Mine has 15k miles now. I would go for it. It is a nice and comfortable bike for cruising. I just upgraded to 9" mini apes few days ago. It feels much better. I will try to post a new video with them.
by the way in this video mine was running a bit rough. It was backfiring whenever I was letting of the gas and I was so angry when I got home because of that. Turned out it had a cracked vacuum hose at the fuel valve. Changed it and it was fixed.
Are these good as highway bikes? I'm thinking about maybe getting one, but plan on 2-upping and having some highway runs. I know it won't be the "ideal" bike, but is it down right impractical?
Yes, they are, no doubt. They could do 75mph all day long man. I always ride with my girlfriend and we went to a lot of trips including highways. I usually do 65mph and still have a lot of throttle for passing cars in case I want to do let s say 90. I bought a honda vtx 1300 and indeed I can feel the diference of a more powerful bike but I would still take my vl800 for a highway run anytime
There you go brother: KEMIMOTO Synthetic Leather Motorcycle Saddlebag for Sportster Street Glide Electra Glide Touring Model, Universal, Black a.co/d/fFuXa16 But i honestly do not recommend them. After a year (and not everyday use) they re in a pretty bad shape now
You’re right! The idle was so high and the bike kept popping and I couldn’t understand why. I was playing with the ilde screw. However, when I got home I found out there was a cracked vacuum hose. I have replaced that and everything went back to normal.
My Vance and Hines makes the same pinging noise on the exhaust that you showed at the start of the video. Is that normal? I’m brand new to all this and not sure if it normal or not! Thanks
the only mod are the vance and hines pipes. Everything else is stock. That's how I bought it. I am not sure about the carb's needles size but I'm pretty sure the stock ones are on.
@@misuffk7604 I did 12inch apes, new paint, pegs no floor boards, and spark plugs and filter while I had tank off. Oh yeah took baffle out. It’s loud not like yours
got this exact one from my dad a few months ago, love the thing, glad its been handed down to me
Great sound from the exhaust. Just what I was looking for, no talking, just the pipes for background noise, thank you.
Thanks man. I wish bike would have run better in the video. I had a vacuum leak when I recorded this and the idle was so high
Thanks for ride bro i feel better after this video 🙏

You read my mind. You too brother
How much did you get the 2003 for?
@@AD.H. 4k EUR - accessories included (saddle bags, falling frame, etc..). Yeah, the bikes seem to be somewhat more expensive in the EU 🙂
That's a nice good looking ride dude, I also own a 2008 Intruder C800. My first and only love. Ride safe!
Thank you. You too
I’m about to buy a 2002 Suzuki volusia 805 today! For 2k. 16,000 miles. You think it’s worth it?
@@Dcole-_- You ll love it. Change its oil after 2500,3000miles, buy gas from good companies and it will take you to the moon dude

I am going to be down there soon on My C50T

What pipes are those? Bike sounds great trying to see how they sound before I go purchase one this weekend
vance and hines slash cut
I just double checked and they are actually Vance & Hines CRUZERS

19:02 is something broken down there? You keep reaching down to that same spot. Maybe you said but I have the sound muted.

100% normal. Bike was hot and that s the noise made by exhaust when cooling off
I have the same bike, mine is a 02 same 2 tone colors, what all have you done to it I'm trying do a little bit to it.

Yeah I turn on my key
I have same bike. I need those pipes man
They sound great but a bit exhausting on a trip. After two hours of riding when I get off, I feel a rumble in my head 😂
