    Thank you for taking the time to show us the whole technique. I for one enjoy the longer videos when I have the time to watch them. This wire weaving skill set could be useful with a few other objects also thank you again for sharing it.

    That's so cute! ❤️❤️❤️ I actually bought some little bottles from Dollar Tree not knowing what I would do with them because I thought they were adorable. Now I know what to do with them!👍 Thanks a bunch! 😊

    Nice! What a great idea!! I'm gonna have to try this!! Maybe, add some 8/0 seed beads in between the loops on the bottle for color? Many added possibilities with this craft project! Thank You

    I did this on my water bottle and it came out great!

    As an option to gluing the cork top, you could also soak the end of it in some water to inflate it a bit, whereby you can still utilize the bottle. Great idea for the bottle!

    Great idea, a must try. Isn't this the same as the viking stitch? Love your videos

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  10 лет назад +2

      Yes, this is very close to viking knit, I had not even realized that until you brought it up. To make this particular project I had modified a technique I had done when I made netted wire earrings, and because i was adapting it from that perspective, I had not made the correlation to viking knit. Good catch!

    Just brilliant. I'd like to do this for a bead in a wire link. Any ideas how to start?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  9 лет назад

      +mrgorky777 Hmmm. It's definitely possible but you will need an anchor point for your wire. What type of bead are you using? Shape, size, etc.

    This is beautiful. I was wondering if I wanted to make a bottle look like it had liquid in it but without the spill risk or all the other trouble that using might cause . What could I do? Would it be okay to use some type of resin?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  10 лет назад +1

      Yes, resin would be your best choice if you wanted to make it look like it had permanent water or liquid inside it. Just be cautious that it will be hard to pop the bubbles in the resin when it is inside a bottle. I would do the resin part of the project first, make sure you like the results, and then do the wire wrapping.

    Wire is notorious for breaking or snapping when it's overworked, how could I keep it from doing that?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  10 лет назад

      You are absolutely right, it does snap and break easily when overworked. I think the only thing you can do is just be really careful with it and not rush. I find that when I rush I tend to end up with more knots and kinks (which adds to it being overworked) vs. when I take my time and slowly manipulate the wire it is less likely to end up snagging, knotting, or breaking.

  • @tandraboyer3005
    @tandraboyer3005 9 лет назад

    Do you have a technique for doing this on say a heart shaped rock or shell? Thankyou!!

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  9 лет назад +2

      Tandra Boyer It would actually be the same technique for the netting, it will start to form around whatever shape you are using as long as you pull your wire tight as you go. The trick will be creating the anchor wire up top, with the bottles it was easy because there was a lip that it could rest under. If you could find some place to secure that heavier gauge wire which the netting anchors to, then you should be good to go.

      That's tricky with glass focal pieces like this isn't it. You can try latex gloves next time, with pieces like these where they're difficult to clean afterwards that might be significantly less annoying.
