You can't deny that Danny Worsnops vocal range is amazing here
But his screams were already giving up back then
It's hard to continue to perform at such a high level when he had already shredded his voice between alcohol and drugs and I'm sure during the times he was all fucked up he didn't do proper warmups to maintain his voice/pushrd too hard, etc.

Marvin Moss It depends which period you're talking about, cuz before From Death To Destiny era, Danny sounded bad 80% of the time. But most of the time, now, he sounds awesome. Take a look at "A Prophecy" live video from Impericon fest. He sounds incredibly good.

This is by far my favourite Asking Alexandria song and this video made me so emotional. It took me back to the gig I went to in Feb and reminded me how much Danny has changed his life around. His vocals now are so strong and his screams are amazing, even with the little effort he puts into it. I truely love this band.
if your shitting on danny, than you dont know much about AA. vocal chord and drug/ alcahol issues. he is lucky to be alive let alone still be touring.

I actually like the vocals in this performance. Danny kinda sounds like a heavy/glam metal vocalist, which is pretty refreshing over metalcore. Much better than Falling in Reverse, where they have a douchy bitch-loving rapper over fast power metal licks and post-hardcore.

+NovaCats 00-00 but it requiers perfect palm muting and timing to sound really good. There are many guitarists that think that they can play but it's way harder to play easy song perfectly than to play hard song without accuracy.
+Jakub Witkowski (przekoles44) I like that you're trying to break up the scheme of things... but you're doing it wrong. If you're going to make a point, at least make a point that's actually relevant and is true. I've played this song on lead, rhythm, and bass, literally the tabs are relatively all open note palms and slight finger movements, and it couldn't be easier. Now, change the scenario to something like Darkthrone. That's completely playing without accuracy, it's Black Metal so it's designed to be brutal to play, there's zero songs in the genre that look like 00-00, and because they aren't 00-00 they're depressingly hard to play. Other example- Cradle of Filth. Requires both accuracy and perfection, since the tabs look like 657543-435654-4565475-867425754, and they don't use the simple 00-00 palm presses. Asking Alexandria has gotten way better with adding actual notes, but to answer your question from a guitarists pov, a song that looks like 000-0000-000-000-0000-000 is the easiest you can possibly make it.

AA have really improved. Danny doesn't have the screaming range he used to, but he can actually sing really good now.
Ben seems to have gotten much better at guitar.
James is awesome as always, and the band as a whole seems to have a lot more energy and charisma than the last few times i saw them live.

I love watching these vids to reminisce. I love what AA's doing with Denis, no doubt. But Danny being the original first vocalist, will have a place in my heart. But as far as people complaining about Danny's voice and that they're happy he's gone, they don't know shit. I personally his screams, mids, and growling improved. He just doesn't do them as much because of his rock n roll interest. His performance for "The Price of Beauty" was amazing. I liked what he did live with these songs because he made it more interesting with different types of sounds. Having musical freedom and not be boring and stick to the same thing the same time live which I'm sure gets annoying when you perform like a hundred shows or more a year. It's fun and nice to experiment. He does it well. He still has the metal core voice for AA, but he lost interest in doing so. His singing voice is the only thing that changed which still sounds good but it isn't high pitched like any other metal core.It was different.
Which I like. It sounded different. But From Death To Destiny wasn't heavy because of Danny. He took as much out as he could. Ben didn't want to kick him out so he went with his wants. I like what they're gonna do with Denis though, sure he has the high pitched singing like a lot of metal core bands do, but I guess it's just the infamous metal core sound. I still like it either way.
He used them in 2013 a lot in every performance.
