BBT fwd controls brake & shifter mods

Big Bike Things makes forward controls for the 1500 Valkyrie. Around $490 they want IIRC. Kinda spendy for linkage that doesn't work as delivered. At least didn't work on MY Valkyrie. No brake authority - useless in fact. Could not find a setting for the shifter linkage that would work. Maybe because my Valk is high mileage; has 117,000 miles with expected internal wear. But for a Valkyrie - that's just broken in. DDT's Valkyrie has 490,000 miles. Anyway, here you can see the brake mod - welded a bellcrank to the brake arm, added a return spring (not visible) two Heim joints on each end of a hollow pull rod. Works great now. On the shifter, added a longer and offset bellcrank to the actuator shaft, replaced the intermediate link arm with a square hollow arm with Heim joints each end, anchored the end of the shifter shaft with a Heim joint to eliminate slop, and added a return spring for upshifts to assist the internal reset spring which was overwhelmed by the weight of the linkage and wouldn't reset sometimes for upshifts to 3, 4, and 5.
