Please someone answer my question. I tried to make this but my wires were too small to carry any current from my battery, my battery was fine and it would send current through a 14 guage wire. But how can it pass through the inductor when the wire making it is so tiny

A way late response but biggest role in here is MOSFET or BJT and also Coil to get higher amperage you would need more turns on Primary coil and Feedback coil and you need to use more expensive MOSFET or BJT that have high switching speeds higher the switch speed better the performance also you need high capacitance Capacitor so it can hold bigger charge. basically high switching speed will provide more power in general and will charge high capacitance capactior really fast high capacitance combined with better coil and mosfet or bjt will give much more power in the end when running on load also keep in mind the power lost as heat in mosfet or bjt so better cooling on them and youre set its really easy but needs better components hope i helped somehow :)
boost converter need a feed back system so that voltage wont drop with change in load (duty cycle will increase / decrease with change in load). this can be use to demonstrate boost converter but its efficiency will be very low which mean your cell will be dead with in mints.

its a type of joule thief, if never worked for you it's probably because you don't wind the coils at the same direction, also you can do it with a 555 timer easyer.

if u switch the position of inductor and transistor, and flip the diode so it blocks positive voltage from battery to caps, the rise in voltage won't be accompanied by currrent draw from battery, which simply means more output than input.
If that was a rechargeable AA1.5v and it's producing 20v, could any of that voltage be routed to a battery charger for the 1.5 or is amperage too low? If so, it would violate 2nd law of thermodynamics and other laws I don't quite understand but it would produce energy until life of battery but if it's that easy I'm sure someone would have made it long ago then turned it into a weapon

Depending on the cap some hold 35V and other can hold 50V
