The freeze frame could actually be a really cool mechanic, and was implemented here in a way that actually wouldn't be too impossible to learn (the vocal Go! Cues are huge for this).
With that being said, good lord would that ever be difficult.

If this remix was real it would definitely need a practice before it probably just to show that when they say go continue to play the game and then telling you how to do it when the cuts between games. Overall amazing idea.
Yes! I thought about this too. I considered an idea to have tutorial text pop up during the starting DJ School part. It would explain how the time freezes work. Like you said, how you continue playing after it says "Go!" that's the key in the remix. Also, the time freeze always happens before your input. It's consistent in that way. If it were possible, I'd imagine it being like Spaceball in the original Tengoku. Basically, you would have to get the first DJ School cue right a couple of times before the remix smoothly continues into the rest of its gameplay.
That being said, in general I tried to design the remix so it starts off slow and gives players a chance to get used to what's going on. Basically, teaching you through gameplay before going "all out" later on. I'm sure it would still take practice and getting used to though. And small FYI, I imagined this remix as one of those post-game remixes. Like a Remix 8 or Remix 9 before the final remix.

I also feel as if there should be an audio que before the time stop, such as a few small donks, or a bell, or a “ready”
I’m imagining your inputs don’t count when the screen is grey so it would eat the input and you could try again. DJ school is a stylus game so how that would work is weird but it’s probably fine.
Never did i even imagine remixes having gimmicks in of themselves. I have felt this giddy from Rhythm Heaven than when I played my first remix.

Not impossible, just very, very difficult. You’ll have to rely on audio cues more than visual.

Except for the part where tap trial is frozen but nothing else then visuals are basically a necessity to understand what is happening

@@theawesomepanda1lance241 not really, since you can hear the cue that tap trial froze, and then you hear the cue of senior karate man, so you keep on hearing the next games until you hear the go! that sounds when a game unfreezes, and the last game that froze was tap trial, so.. definitely a little confusing and convoluted, but totally possible blind

me, struggling to press buttons and also flick on four devices at once:
The only problem is the Tap Trial at 2:28 giving almost no warning before stopping, when compared to all the other inputs before being normal.
That’s making the assumption that pressing the button when the screen is grey would ruin a perfect or count as a miss.
What if it didn’t?
That could work, or it could say something like "Wait!" Just before the pause so you'd know when to stop and wait
i LOVE the immediate go! cues when the pauses stop coming in the middle ish. really good detail that to tell you that there wont be a pause
two years late but this is sick as fuck the first time the game paused i started smiling that was such a cool and creative remix

okay holy shit this is amazing. I thought the gimmick was gonna be cheap and tacky, but then the fucking minigame train came in, and I realized exactly why the fuck you put the gimmick there and what in the world you're expecting the hypothetical player to do, and my jaw just. dropped. holy shit.
my only critique is the starry background at the end kinda ruined the immersion. i saw the idea there and it's cool, it just probably coulda been pulled off better with a bit more fidelity to rhythm heaven's graphical style.

I absolutely love how you used two games from each game of the series that are in the megamix
It gets slightly offbeat at times but still a pretty great remix
Make the DJ School intro like Spaceballs, where it doesn't start until you hit like 4 out of 6, so it's practice without taking the time for every game.
You know how the Super Monkey Ball series has the Master stages at the very end of some games? I feel like this would be the Rhythm Heaven equivalent.

this absolutely a genius idea, and I love how well everything fit together, especially how you showed all 4 games that you would be pressing A for in a row before making you actually do them, can't wait to see more genius ideas like this in the future (Easy sub)
I adore the idea of pausing between mini games to create one big mashup challenge
I’d just add some visual indicator for when a screen freezes or unfreezes, like a small countdown along the top before it happens. Also then the screens are moving all over the place it’s probably intended to be really hard to track but I feel like it’s way too unfair

The freeze gimmick for some reason reminds me of Rhythm Doctor but I'm not sure why
I think there should be an "And, stop!" Cue when it pauses, but otherwise it's great.

What a crazy gimmick
This is a cool idea, I think it'd be fun to play around with it a bit more: in particular, with the multiple-game segments I think it could be cool to either cut out the setup bit so that you have to react to the situation on the frozen beat, or make it so that the screen goes dark when it unfreezes so you have to remember what inputs you have to do based on the setup.
