One thing my group has noticed: 1. Power plants have TONS. 2. Never found a single 1 at the docks. 3. The more people in the party, the more enemies spawn. We can do the run with 1 person and earn 30ish, but with 4 people we will score about 50. I love Distant Thunder because my Camp is right there. My Turrets basically take care of most of them.
I usually hit Sutton after Helvetia, it's a small area, and I usually find one to two spooky there. I also take Charleston Capitol after the dam, and I usually find three to five there if you trigger both "ambushes". Most I've ever gotten from the Capitol was ten, but that was probably an outlier. Edit: Another place to check when you are in Morgantown, is the outside of Morgantown Highschool. You can usually find one or two Spooky Scorched roaming around there.
I would also go into the town of Sutton, the town right by the Overseer’s House. My camp is near there so I run in there every time I go back for any reason. It’s a small area and unless someone’s recently been through there I find one to three of the Spooky Scorched. They will be in the church, on the roof across from the church, or running around inside the barricaded area.
I think the best method is to just keep re running the collision course event solo if you have a private world. I always get more spooky scorched then any location. I got as much as 5 in the event
I have been doing the Collision Course on a private server over and over. Only a few instances were I only had a few legendaries pop up. Other than that I have been getting a lot. This also works on the Xmas holiday event that goes around when getting presents.

They couldve transformed a city, have some fun games, make trick or treating more interesting (a lot of players dont fill their bowl for example). It's just shoot, fast travel, repeat :(.

Yeeep. Want to make an exploding plasma flamer with pulse capacitor. Fast fore rate with large explosions mainly so I can tag. Haven't yet gotten an exploding mod unfortunately.
The Fort Defiance Event is also a great event for spooky scorched. I killed about 4 and there were another 3 or 4 that other players had killed nearby.
For the palace I prefer to go through the door in the cave around the back of the building, gslets straight into the boiler area so saves a lot of time. It's only a level 1 terminal to get the door open
The easiest and most lucrative spooky scorched without, yes without traveling but to one location is to farm a scorched beast queen with teslas. 30-40 per queen event without any traveling. Hell, xp and materials out the wazzu. Launch a queen, get a group together and use teslas on everything that moves. You will need to cripple her wing or two to keep her on the ground but spookys come in drove to you. No hunting them at picked over locations, no going here and there, they just keep coming. Go ahead and finish the queen off with 5 minutes remaining and you will not have to tour all over WV to do so.
The thing to remember with the Scorched Hordes is to NOT kill the Boss! If you don’t kill the Boss, the Scorched will continually spawn. Some players don’t know this or don’t care and show up and immediately kill them, which sucks to say the least! Certain Dropped Connection Events have Scorched waves too. I usually get 5-6 Spooky (and Holiday in December) at least.

I was doing Guided Meditation alone in a packed service and a guy showed up and I thought “Hey alright someone came to help!” No. They run into the building and then took off after getting their spooky treats 😂
I love the Summersville dam/docks 2 Fer. If you start at the docks, might as well got to riverside manor after the dam. Only 4 but they're outside and I usually get one
Spawn at pleasant valley cabins and make your way down to the resort👍🏻the good thing about this part of the run is that there are a few level 3 safes, random plans laying about and a few spawns for bobble heads and magazines. So even if you don’t get a spooky spawn at least you shouldn’t come out empty handed. Bolton greens is also good for bobble heads and magazines.
Another spot I would suggest is the Valley Galleria in the Mire. I found two spooky scorched there today - one in the parking lot and one more inside the galleria itself

I got kicked off a server twice tonight after having killed 6 or 7 spooky scorched and no progress was saved either time. No point in even playing the game if progress isn't being saved.
Do you actually even need to tag them during events? Did Line In The Sand last night, and I tagged like 3 or 4 but still finished with like 8 Treat Bags. Also did Collision Course, and was able to loot all of them, despite not tagging a single one. Problem with that event for me is...if I tag them, they're dead within 5 seconds. So I focused on the outliers that were off by themselves.
Definitely agree this is the fastest way solo. The fastest way overall though is to fill a private server with friends and force the Scorchbeast Queen to spawn adds for 30 minutes, we usually end up with 75-100 Spooky Scorched spawns per nuke.

why is it whenever they do an udate, things break?... players nmaes don't show above them, enemeies don't show on mini maap, espicalliy annoying on evenrts. Does the lighting in whitespirngs seem better? were the signs always above the workbenches?!!.

@@Jodv- No, it's actually super slow to do it with 10 second cool down to kill 5 more scorched. Better to fast travel to next spot with 5+ scorched.

Spooky/holiday scorched only spawn outside. They won’t spawn in any buildings/areas that are considered “inside”.
to add to this i found 6 at the fissure site next to the pumpkin house and then 4 at the same site like an hour later

Go on a provate server, launch a nuke, keep the scorchbeast queen alive and farm adds
