- Weather warning and storm coming - Visiting Miami Platja Beach
In this episode we continue slowly heading south and arrive at the town of Miami Platja. We found a great spot to park up for the night looking over the beach.
The weather was still in the high teens and so took advantage and has a swim.
The next day we discovered that a severe weather warning was issues. So after breakfast on the beach and a morning swim we continued south, bracing ourselves for the storm.

In case you don't know us - let us introduce ourselves - we are Chris (48) & Marianne (51). We recently quit our jobs and sold our belongings to travel full time.
After more than 22 years of marriage we are still best friends - (there's a travel couple goal for you).

Exciting
Just been catching up on your old videos!! This made me laugh that you thought it was really flooded, you were driving across the Delta which is paddy fields, it always looks like this except in Spring when they sow and Sept when they harvest. It was refreshing to see you exploring this area as so many people bypass it and it is an amazing area especially if you head in land towards the mountains.
I guess Henry Higgins was a better linguist than meteorologist -- according to him, the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain! 😉

Wow, that horizon looked so clear and crisp!!! We love a good storm👍 Must be a little scary being in the van though
I know - it came out of nowhere !! one minute it was blue sky and we were swimming and by the time we came out, the waves were crashing and the sky was turning !! - but i go a little crazy when there are storms and love them - but yes it was super noisy !!! LOL 😝😜😂

There was no sky at all LOL 😜grey clouds and flashing lights LOL - so no shepherds pie that day !! 😂👍😉

Hi 😂😂😂😂yep and didn't they make us laugh !!! I would never eat a crayfish again now as they were soooo cute and reminded me of those cartoon characters that say 'get back or i am coming for you !!' LOL xx speak soon xxx m

Hi Michael - funnily, we miss different things !! Chris loves and misses having a bath !! and I miss having a washing machine !!! - but a dip in the sea and the laundromat have solved those problems ...... and Chris is looking forward to backpacking so he can use the bath in the hostel or Airbnb !!! 😂😀👍🙂
