Messed up the edit… Should say at the start let’s go over some good and not so good things. Then… 1 is the headlining, then goes from there 🥲 Not sure why I cropped that out..
The P450 was really made to fill in the gap left by the V6 when they stopped making the V6. I've got a P450 and I've got it tuned by wraptor customs to over 700 BHP so the tuning potential is a lot more than the V6. Had my P450 for year and a half now and it's the best car I've ever had I love it to bits.
@tootalltodrive So far so good. No problems at all touch wood 🤞. I change the oil and filter every 2000 miles, some might say that's a little excessive but I'm just trying to protect the engine as best as possible and I've had no issues at all. Wraptor Customs have done a video on it if you want to have a look yourself, the map was done by Autotech tuning if anyone wants to have theirs done. Very happy with the results.
You mention poor grip in wet conditions for your V6. I experienced same on my V6 RWD on the OEM Pirellis, improved with Michelin PS4S, and yet further improved with the new Conti SC7, wet grip of rear tires out of corners noticeably improved with the Contis.
An interesting video. I’ve owned a V6 for the last six years and I’ve been thinking of trading it for a P450 on the basis of the age of mine (it’s a 2017) and the fact that they’re not making them any more and that the alternatives seem few and far between. The nearest Porsche Dealer is about 60 miles away, which makes servicing an unattractive proposition. My last car was an Audi TTS which I didn’t keep for long because it attracted idiots who want to race (a criminal offence on the Public Highway) so I keep looking at the P450 but I think the new shaped bonnet spoils the looks, to put it politely. I seem to be left with the BMW Z4 which isn’t over inspiring. So you’ve more or less said what you wouldn’t buy. I’d be interested to know what you would buy.
Very good point, I have a few thoughts about what I would replace the F-Type with… maybe if I can get hold of one I’ll do a video! But the hint is it launched in 2012
I recently had the pleasant task of choosing a sports GT convertible to replace my AMG C63 convertible.I looked at the Porsche Boxter but didn’t want a 4 cylinder as too similar to my hatchback in sound and performance. The 4.0 litre seemed like a good proposition but they are very expensive.I do think depreciation will be very low on them and they are narrower than the F Type, lighter and have more luggage space.Better built too, galvanised chassis. Next option the Z4.I owned the red M40i press car you see on the internet. Its underrated in my view.Solid engine, light compared to F Type, big boot, good handling, good spec and infotainment , HUD, etc.I didn’t want another as I’ve had one and I never got used to the quirky front end design. I then drove an F Type P450 AWD.Performance was OK but felt sure footed coming off roundabouts.Engine very smooth and linear power. The looks are stunning and it was the V8 and the looks that won me over.People let me out at junctions now and I get positive comments which makes driving a bit special.Who cares if you can’t keep up with a Boxter or AMG A45, you can’t hustle round lanes at the maximum as there are cyclists, walkers, horses, etc so spirited driving on a good open road (maybe France) is where it’s a real occasion and pleasure.Look up Fuse 15 too as removal changes the exhaust setting !!!

Great video
Thanks 🙏

That’s mental! 700+ bhp, how has the reliability been with such a big increase?

@@robsharpe-cx2vb awesome! I am speaking to the team, so might have a video coming soon 👀
@@tootalltodrive Look forward to seeing it 👍
@@tootalltodrivealso looking forward to that

Yeah got PS4S on them at the moment, wouldn’t say poor grip, but not confidence inspiring. Whereby the AWD I felt fine careless of conditions I guess
P450 with a cheeky tune to unlock it to the Rs 575 👌
Im currently having same thoughts should i upgrade from my 380S think you might of answered my question.
Pleased the videos was helpful 👌
P450 all wheel drive? I thought only the R was that. Tune up he 450 and you have a RWD P575.
P450 also came in all wheel drive. Very true, not sure Jag would be impressed when I give the car back if it had an extra 125bhp 😂

But isn’t it more reliable than the V6?
Can’t comment, but I think they are equally all as good/bad as each other
It is more reliable.
Front looks ugly unfortunately
Each to their own
Not as pretty as the old version but still looks good
@@Birmingham_racing Looks good overall but yeah why did they mess with the vertical lights?
What car were you talking about? The Jag front end looks great, the rear end even better.

Think that is the secret, not sure Jag would have been happy if I’d done that over the weekend… 😂
😂😂 would of paid to see u do that
