I want to thank you for your videos. I just got into fiber testing at a new job. Was getting some inconsistent info from some of the more experienced splicers. It's nice to get information straight from the source. So to speak. Have and will be watching more video presentations you have. Have a happy and safe new year.
saw your presentation for the new Waldo EXFO file transfer conventions at work yesterday. Great job there as well. I will say there is still work to be done to make things more user friendly but ....... it really beats manually entering EVERY SINGLE test result.
Bobby, you are correct there is still more work to be done and it beats typing. There was some urgency placed on us to get a working version in a short amount of time. I am happy with what we came up with especially with the limitations we had in place and the legacy of some of the units. Can we go back to the days when I was a tech with US West and we just said... "it passed" and that was it LOL. Seriously though, this is a step in the right direction... I am sure there will be more development. If you run into any issues or have any feedback.. email me kevin.peres@exfo.com
I will have to look through my videos I might have something. The connector does come for unit. Just push down a little and twist counterclockwise a quarter turn to pop it off. After that you can see the ferrule on the port.
Hi Kevin Sir, really nice and informative video as always. Just want to know your opinion about what do you prefer one click cleaner or the method you are using for cleaning the connectors. I have been using one click cleaner for cleaning the connectors and have bad experience with it.
Sadiq, Always good to hear from you, my friend. I agree one click is not the best method for cleaning and is never just one click. For bulkheads that you can not access the fiber they work well but if I am able to access the end face I always prefer a hybrid method. Wet a small portion of the dry tissue and pull from wet to dry.

Greg I am glad you found it useful. Good luck with your new job!

As always your video is amazing.
Thank you I appreciate the kind words.
Is there a best way or video on how to clean the Ferrell of an OTDR FTB-1 /735C?

I stopped scoping and cleaning "clean" connectors 10+ years ago using this method.
