To prevent spillage going to waste, put a piece of waxed paper under the jar. Then after the mix has been added to the jar, pour any spillage on the waxed paper into the jar.

I have a lot of medical problems and having mixes like this makes life much easier and I know what is going into everything. Thats such a blessing with all the info that us coming out about the bad stuff in our fiods. Thank you. God bless you and your family.
I like dry essentials because you come make plenty of meals with just the basics. Mostly all the ones you did are t th e ones I mostly keep myself. But I never understood why the Bisquick which I have never used. If I had a good recipe I would try it.
I'd like to refer you to MakeAMix & MoreMakeAMix cookbooks for muffin mix and so many more. My Mom purchased these for me in 1980's and I use one of their mixes at least daily. Beside dry mixes, they include recipes for pfrozen starters.
Well done. I looked at it and was pleasantly surprised. I will be making these for sure, especially the cream-based soup one ^ with brown gravy. I'm from Mississauga Ontario Canada.
When i travel in my rv , i make biscuit mix which has dry buttermilk & dry ingredients and add the water & butter when i make the biscuits. I also make a keto biscuit mix and add the water & butter when i bake the biscuits.❤😋😋
This is amazing 🤩 thank you so much. 8 am always trying to eat healthier, so it's nice to know the ingredients!! I buy very few box/premade items, and this will be so nice and convenient!
Ty so much for all these great recipes! I will definitely use them!! Great tutorial and it was nice to meet you granddaughter . She is very beautiful I have subscribed!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your time, family, and your recipes. I’m gluten free and I’ve been looking for some replacements for some of the store bought products.
There is also a dairy free powder milk I just ordered one to try out for my granddaughter she’s allergic to milk she is drinking soy milk for now. I might also look again for a dry powder.
I cook the potatoes until fork tender in 4 cups (32oz of broth usually chicken) after cooked add the gravy packet or packets (1c packet I need 2 if it’s 2c size just one). The 1c packets I need 2 packets, so 6 Tbls.
Do you have any recipes for people that are allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts & dairy? I just know found out I can sub the eggs for applesauce Milk for plant base..
Many mixes call for boullion. But it has ingredients that mess with my belly. Msg is especially bad also bringing on migraines. Anyone figured out what else could be used in a dry mix? My only thought is to add flavor with broth or butter and salt when actually cooking, but not in the mix itself. If anyone has a better idea, please let me know. Thanks.
Excellent point. The only solution I know of is to use fresh broth and dehydrate or freeze dry it and then blend it into a powder. Then you have your own bouillion.
@patsyeide3626 adding both to sauces or gravies is not necessary but makes for a better gravy. The flour makes it thicker and more flavorful, while the cornstarch makes it smooth and thickens quicker.
Why does the cornbread mix need to be stored in the freezer? They are all dry ingredients and as long as the contents are in an airtight container they should be good for a long time.

that's great to find a dairy free powder 🙂
I use the country gravy when making potato soup. Could you just dump it in the broth like I do with the packets. If so I need to make this.
@angelaaneff445 that's a great idea. Yes, mix it with about a cup of your broth until it's smooth then pour it into your soup.
I cook the potatoes until fork tender in 4 cups (32oz of broth usually chicken) after cooked add the gravy packet or packets (1c packet I need 2 if it’s 2c size just one). The 1c packets I need 2 packets, so 6 Tbls.

Ghee is shelf stable until opened. Do you think that ghee could be used?

Possible tip. Put your ingredients one at a time directly into the jar and shake or stir before adding the next. Minimize those transfer issues

What happens if I use self rising flour instead of all purpose?
good question, I'm not positive because self rising has baking powder and salt
💜💜💜💜💜
Why add both flour and cornstarch?
@patsyeide3626 adding both to sauces or gravies is not necessary but makes for a better gravy. The flour makes it thicker and more flavorful, while the cornstarch makes it smooth and thickens quicker.
My great grandma and grandma and mom wouldn't put sugar in theirs cornbread

@patriotchic3364 the freezer is just an option, it should be good in the pantry for up to a year 😊
