I'm not against Trans people..I don't(from a medical background ) think we should give hormones or surgeries tom anyone under 18..Even birth control pills can have negativw side effects. I think their should be at least 2 years of psychotherapy to maake sure your OK with your decision.I I have no problem with trans people dressing as they feel comfortable and just living their lives -like everyone.
I don't think a trans woman(or biological male) should be playing sports with women..because of muscle mass and strength..I knew a large group of trans people in New Orleans .They just wanted to be comfortable in who they are..But NO surgeries or hormones before 18 years old.
He seems like a genuinely decent person that's trying to represent the rights of all people, without being absurd.

Love RFK Jr. However, the Democratic Party already stated there’s not going to be any debates or recognize any primary challengers. They already won a case in court stating they can chose their own candidate at will and ignore primary results anyway. The Biden administration already refused protection for him because he’s not recognized as a candidate. There is no cure for the DNC/Democratic Party at this point.
RFK Jr should keep his campaign going and make an effort to expose the corruption of the DNC and then join the GOP primary field. He has much support among both parties because of common ground stances on many issues. There is no true L/R party anymore besides what groups they pander to as their voting base. Every POTUS since Reagan has advanced the Neoliberal economic agenda. The Dems will do everything including breaking the law in order to protect their swamp and their donor class’s death grip on the levers of power from an insurgent candidate outsider. RFK’s best option might be to become a VP running mate. A Trump/RFK Jr ticket would make the Dems’ heads explode.

He's going to run as an Independent. We have to make sure we understand EVERYTHING to get him elected.
Too bad the DNC closed the primary, denying voters the ability to register votes for their choice, forced Biden as the presumptive nominee and then had him drop out weeks before the convention - now they are going to have an “open primary” where delegates get to register THEIR vote for their preferred candidate, never giving the actual individual voters a choice. And they will likely select Kamala because of the war chest with her and Biden’s name attached.
That’s 3 elections in a row. 2016: they ran a smear campaign against Bernie Sanders and forced HRC on the party. Then in 2020, they had all the moderates “concede” at the same time, endorsing Biden (some in exchange for cabinet appointments), and split the progressive vote between Warren and Sanders, guaranteeing a Biden nomination because there was no actual competition.
And then in 2024, they closed the primary, didnt allow any debates, created metrics to qualify for the 1 debate stage that Trump and Biden didn’t make, but they allowed them to debate anyway - and denied a 3rd party from being on stage, even tho he did meet the metrics.
Any thinking Dem voter needs to revolt from the party at those point. (Just as any thinking Rep voter needs to do the same, since RNC platform is now just Democrat Lite with a veneer of divisive culture war rhetoric to galvanize fear based voting).
Vote 3rd party. Join us disaffected classical liberal/constitutional conservative ex-republicans. Let’s put the duopoly on time out and get back to caring for our nation - not the corporations or the uniparty.

Gender, affirming care like hormone, blockers, and HRT (estrogen, Testosterone) has been offered to assist cisgender children for decades!! You guys only started having a problem with the safety of it when it started helping queer children. Doctors put 12-year-old on birth control to help with periods or things as simple as hormonal, acne!!!
He’s pretty much a 50/50 candidate like I don’t see him as a conservative but more like a moderate like he does share some republican views and same with democratic views so I mean he’s not a bad candidate like there’s no other Candidate with common sense policies. I oppose gender reassignment prior to age 21 (ideally, or failing that at least index it to the age of consent) but I don't believe "parents should have the final say" over what ideas their kids have access to. Inclusive teaching in the classroom is a necessary check and balance on repressive parenting. (Forcing the kids to agree is also another matter and they should be free to dissent as well).

Exactly right about covid lockdowns. I saw what was being taught to my son and daughter who were in kindergarten and 1st grade at the time, and immedietely put them both in Catholic School.
I don't completely agree with what RFK is saying here but Kindergarten is too young to be talking about sex or sexuality.
I'd be wary of those Catholic schools too though. IME they tell kids depression is a sin and tend to make kids that don't perfectly conform hate themselves even more. You should consider home schooling instead.

I promise you your child did not become trans because of something a teacher said to them. This is a hateful misconception.. Your child cannot be infected or heavily influenced into being gay or trans the same way you can’t force young queer kids to magically become straight.

This is something I was waiting to hear him speak about, and he doesn't have much to say about it. This doesn't tell me if he could or would do anything about it as president.

You need to work with your local/state school districts and vote for those who hold your values. Like many, many things education is handled mostly on the state level. This explains why LGBTQ is not part of the curriculum in FL or TX elementary schools, but is a a large part of the curriculum in CA from grade school on.

Men playing in women's sports leagues, and children being exposed to adult sexuality are not "LGBTQ" issues. They are radical trans activist and culture warrior issues. I had been supporting RFK but this may push me to Cornel West. The real grooming problem in this country is from narcissistic parents and it is grooming no matter whether they are grooming them *to* be gay *or* not to be gay. The morality of it doesn't change depending which side you're on. It is sexual abuse to try to control someone's sexuality either one way or the other.

I'm trans and as a person who did go through male puberty I am much stronger than the average woman. I TOTALLY agree with RFK on everything he said here.

A lot of this stuff is based in misogyny that someone born as a man could never lose to a woman, it’s just incorrect!!
There are many women who are stronger than the average man. There are trans men who went through female puberty and have one against trained athletes who were born male.

Sexual orientation and gender ideology studies should not be a part of school curriculum, especially for young children. It doesn’t take a doctorate degree to have basic common sense. It also doesn’t take a doctorate degree to know that grooming children with transgender ideology is absolutely inappropriate. Medical transitioning of children has been proven to be harmful to their health and the effects leave permanent physical damages that cannot be reversed as so many detransitioning people have voiced. Teaching children to be kind, inclusive and respectful of each other regardless of differences DOES NOT require emphasis specifically on LGBTQ community and it does not require a gender ideology studies in the curriculum. It’s common sense that we can teach young children these values without including sexual content. Children as young as 7 years of age were shown sexual graphics at an elementary school which resulted in boys trying to sexually assault girls on campus which lead to a lawsuit. Young children do not need to learn about sexual orientation or gender identities to make transgender people feel more accepted and understood. Our children are not their “emotional support systems”. The mental and physical health as well as the protection of our children’s innocence is far more important!!!!
Including sexual orientation doesnt mean literally showing the sexual activities of queer people. What they mean by being more inclusive, is teaching that being Lgbt has nothing wrong with it. Trans kids exist. Trans adults were once kids. Does this mean you exclude Trans kids when mentioning kids? Queer kids need support in becoming comfortable with themselves. People still hold prejudice against queer folks. Although you see Lgbtq individuals becoming more and more common, the hatred from others is still lurking. That's why it should be essential to keep queer kids safe from hate. We can do that by helping kids become more understanding and open to diversity.
Queer love is like straight love but with different people. You seem to view it too sexually.
As for the medical transitioning, I'd say even most trans people are against kids transitioning that way. I'm trans and am waiting until I'm 18+ since its obviously an expensive and life-changing transition. I'd say you're wrong on not emphasizing the lgbt community when teaching kids to be kind. Throughout school, there was only about 1 mention of homosexuality, and it was brought up as a detail. Nothing else. Students kept pointing out and making fun of boys who were more feminine. This is why we need to mention Lgbt history more often, along with other issues such as modern racism and Climate change. As for the gender ideology, it'd be up to the schools to make that decision. Personally I'd make it optional. It seems to be a more mature and dificult topic so it wouldn't be too popular in primary or secondary school anyways. At the end of the day, in-depth topics should be optional but the teaching of respect towards everyone no matter how different, should be at every school.

Then parents should homeschool their kids. There’s so much info that kids have to learn and I guarantee that the majority of parents have no clue about half of it. That’s why teachers are needed. If u don’t want ur kid to be knowledgeable take them out of school and home school them.

i agree and from what i have learned about this movement, is that it is relatively new and not based on solid science, it is also not well researched. We are changing the educational system based on very little proof. Minority groups should have the necessary protections..

The fact that he calls transgender women "a man" like twice, and then says we shouldn't be made to feel bad about our "choices". It's not a choice.
I'm willing to believe he's just ignorant and believes he's being polite about it, but I also feel like he would support many education related bills that I personally disagree with. "woke" opinions being shown to me is what eventually led me to have the courage to come out to my conservative dad (and everyone else). If parents control the things we're taught, how are we supposed to form any thoughts aside from what our parents think? the people that hate us do it because they don't understand, education is the only way to stop hate.
Me and many people I know would've greatly benefitted from a class on this stuff in high school. So I'm torn. He'd be great if I wasn't scared he'd undo the progress we've made on education.
