  • A little tutorial on the kick and roll with montante. Sorry for the high wind at points but I thought you may like something to do while you isolate.😊

Hi mate! A colleague from Bujinkan here. Thanks for the extra section on the knee-positioning. We also had many people not putting their knees in the same direction as their feet. It makes a huge different in health for your knees aswell, if you practice a sport like this for many years! So watch your rear knee position aswell, it should face the same direction as your foot also. It think you did it right, but just for the others that might read this ;)
    Have a great training!

Thank you for this. I live in a rural area in the US and often find myself isolated even under normal circumstances so simple tutorial videos like this are much appreciated. I don't expect to become a swordsmen but its fun to go outside, grab a big stick and go through some of the motions anyway.
    Cheers!

"For those of you familiar with Bagpuss, he was the inventor of the Montante...." Still the best training commentaries on youtube - also, the best t-shirts😹👍.

Thank you very much for sharing this lesson with us, always enjoy this channel. Never thought of using a short stick for training large sword work. Seems fairly obvious now. Thanks again. Cheers

That seems like a really useful technique for a fighter who is tiring.

Imagine chargine a line of dudes with montantes and they all kick the swords up synchronously.
