Hey, thanks for this! Well done! I'm glad to see I'm not the only Anne Lockhart fan out there! Yes, she is one of the best and most underrated sci-fi heroines out there! She's right up there with Ellen Ripley, Susan Ivanova, Delenn, and Andromeda/Rommie to name a few. I look forward to seeing more of your videos! You just earned a new subscriber! :)
I was a kid back then and Sheba was my role model, a strong woman, a great pilot and a hero on her own. I simply adored Apollo, always wanted them to be together but alas.
Ever notice how she was a competent badass in The Living Legend 2 parter then she becomes way less self assured and confident in later episodes? Always thought that was a mistake on the writers part. Would have been fun to see her and Starbuck being competitive. Maybe even a little tension between them :)
War Of The Gods you can chalk that up to her loneliness following the loss of her father (which hasn't happened yet in LL) which made her vulnerable to Iblis. After that she settles more into the team mode but it isn't until "Hand Of God" that she finally gets the courage to confront Apollo about her feelings for him. I wished they would have developed this sooner because it seemed like a natural pairing ultimately.
@@epaddon Honestly it would have been interesting if she was into Apollo and in competition with Starbuck because he was Apollo's best friend. I liked her when she was cocky and confident. I just think the writers didn't know how to make a female character like that interesting back then. But yeah I agree. They should have gotten romantic earlier
I followed this show when I was a kid same as Buck Rogers and then Star Wars came out and I was in hog heaven. It's strange to see the way technology has progressed over my lifetime. These images are now possible. 30 years ago people all over the globe had to get a land line or put a quarter in a machine. Now we can communicate any time, anywhere, and do it in high resolution. It's amazing the technology that is available to the public. Imagine what the military is using. It's almost scary.
I'm glad that Lt. Sheba was both strong and feminine at the same time. I thought Lt.Sheba and Captain Apollo made a wonderful couple. I wish the show stayed on long enough. It would have been wonderful to see Lt. Sheba and Caption Apollo tie the knot. They did get together near the end of the series. Beautiful.
I'd like to ditto my comments that I made about Anne Lockhart on the original BSG from the other Anne Lockhart tribute video. She was one incredible woman. I especially like the black leather outfit she wore when they raided the Cylon homeworld. Ah, the memories... This just confirms that the women in the original BSG were hotter than those in the new BSG. Sackhoff, Helfer, Park, etc. just don't compare to Anne Lockhart, Maren Jansen, and Annette Spang, and Jane Seymour.
In the 2nd season of the original Battlestar Galactica TV-Series,it should've revealed what happened to Apollo & Sheba and it should've revealed if they did get married and have any children together, though Apollo had adopted Boxey after marrying Serena, who was Boxey's mother until the Cylons made her their victim.
The new Battlestar Galactica is horrible. I have tried several times to watch it, but its just irritating to watch one of my all time favorite televsion shows be molested. The production values on the new Battlestar Galactica are so low It hurts me that they even call it Battlestar Galactica. All I can say is the sci-fi channel saved lots, and lots, of money on their new series.
I met Anne Lockhart today and may I say what a lovely and kind lady she is.
She looks so much like her mother June Lockhart
also a sci-fi actress in Lost in Space.
She is so attractive, i wish the show would have gone on longer, thanks for posting!
she was my favourite, in this series, she was so popular ,great actress during that period in 70s and 80s
Anne Lockhart, Battlestar Galactica

I Will Always Love You, Annie Lockhart
The more years go by, the more appreciation, I have for Sheba !!!! Hey, baby.

Sheba was a perfect soulmate for Apollo! 😇💕
She's June Lockhart daughter. June Lockhart was Maureen in Lost in Space.

Network execs couldn't afford his vision
@Chipchik Anne Lockhart was a sexy hottie on BG for sure! Galactica star Lorne Greene in great bio (Charlton Heston:An Incredible Life) at amazon!
Yeah, I agree. Good point !
had such a crush on her as a kid

@Your Mother In "Hand Of God" things are set up for an Apollo-Sheba relationship.
Heavenly valley
better than TNG. Larson had a vision

Hmmmm.....
Sackhoff, Helfer, Park are very beautiful. Regardless of what show they are on.
Now, as then, she sure looks like her mother, June.

Are there more videos with Count Iblis? I did some searching, but many of the videos I found didn't show him.
Shame she didn’t make the cut for the reimagined series
@Aaron361970 It does seem to be very dark.
They don't make such good series any more....epic...that and buck Rogers
@BakaNewMexican You mean Laurette Spang.
