On the Brad and Joey wreck - Brad did not "come up" - the corner ended. The tri-oval is way sharper here than most mile and half tracks. Joey tried to get around Brad and Kyle coming out of turn 4 but Brad and Kyle had no momentum loss and stayed right with Joey. At this point Joey drove himself there by staying in the gas just as hard as Brad and Kyle. Just hard racing and Joey essentially made a mistake in thinking that he could clear the 6 and 8. However if the move had actually stuck it would've been an incredible pass on the outside where everyone was biting the wall.

I'm about 20 minutes away from Talladega Super Speedway, you would be AMAZED at how fast it is here. Here it is sometimes a train, but that train is going 200 mph. I've been to between 20-30 races and I have only seen 1 race that I considered to be boring.
I thought it was good stuff. The racing was good because you could run side by side and not get too loose or aero tight I thought. Even with the Logano wreck, I thought dirty air had little to do with that wreck.
This race made me realize that NASCAR indeed doesn’t mind trying to make a “moment” happen by throwing a caution Byron Deserved it but man Wanted Larson to Win really bad my favorite out of the Hendrick camp

I have one driver in mind for temporarily replacing Elliott: Trevor Bayne (6' 2" and 175 Pounds) Stats: 1 Cup Win, 5 Top 5s, 16 Top 10s, Led 71 of 49572 Laps (0.0014270783%), Finished 159 of 187 Cup Races (28 DNFS), 80 Lead Lap Finishes, 1 DNQ, An Average Start of 22.0, An Average Finish of 23.3 and Finished 22nd in Points Two Years in a Row (2016 and 2017) His stats aren't the best, but seeing how he performed in Xfinity gives me hope. I know the Next-Gen car is different and Bayne is an older driver than Chase. However, If he gets the chance to race multiple times, he'll race with some drivers he knows before he left, despite being with a different team. He'll be in a championship winning car, plus he'll get tips from the pit crew and his possible teammates in the garage. Maybe Logano, Harvick, Hamlin and Busch will give him some pointers. Who knows?
This race was fixed for Byron to win. He had a great car but no reason at all for the caution to come out with 6 laps left. Kyle Larson had this race won thanks to the 10 car. What a joke nascar has become. Let the racers race and let the fans enjoy it.
Man what has happened to Austin Cindric? He started so well last year but has fallen off so bad. I know he finished 6th, and that's a good finish, but he has really struggled.
When crank it up is a highlight for 2 minutes of a 12 minute highlight package you need to do something to make this sport better and the last three minutes is after the end of the race. Maybe the package should be only 5 minutes long.

Strange that Logano was real fast for a few lapse, then just went backwards. Toyotas were up there but not near good enough to beat this Chevy onslaught. This made it a boring race to watch.

They were too good parts about this race. The number 8 too fast off pit row and not taking a win. Number 23, not taking a win. Otherwise, nothing else really mattered about the race.
This is what happens when a Ford driver sneaks in and wins the championship. NASCAR, making sure this won't happen again. Ford's are slow, but they were last year on these two mile tracks. Joey Logano won here last fall, but all of a sudden he's not fast as his car went backwards.
I don’t care for her, but her delivery is far better than it was when she first came on the scene. She used to be a horrible interview, full of ‘uhs’, and ‘likes’, and generally stumbling her way to saying nothing. Now, her presentation is smooth and precise - she might still say some stupid stuff, but she says it well.
I would like to see these Hendrick drivers be forced to race against people on their same budget. It would be an entirely different kind of racing rather than just seeing their cars dominate 24/7. Gets pretty damned boring.
