Les Hill was so handsome. I used to totally crush on him in the 90's❤️ And the underscores back in the days made each emotion scene all the better.

Remember this storyline so well as was an avid H & A fan around this time. I remember how well acted it was and that I had a huge crush on Cathy Godbold.
Tragic that she herself passed away a matter of weeks ago from brain cancer aged only 43. I'm 42 and it really does make you sit back and question your mortality. Rest in Peace beautiful Cathy, free from pain now...xx

OH god after 25 years this still leaves me a quivering wreck and The two actors that did this Emotional scene did well to make it as Powerful to Watch ,At 44 i still see it as moving today as i did back in 1992 When i was an 18 year old back then.😢😢😢😢

Just watched this after someone on Facebook asked folk what the most emotional films were. I said Love Story and the Meg/Blake scene from Home & Away. I never forgot the excellent acting and weepiness of this. I've just joined the 'oldies blubbering wrecks' society.

Would be great if they started at Episode 1 again. There were various actors who had small parts but were quite significant that I tried to track down. Such as the guy who played Nico who had some sort of learning difficulties; and Narelle(sp) cousin of Lance. How fast the years have gone. They look so young when watching old episodes now.

@@cjcadventures if you like emotional stuff, you may want to look up a singer from the 60s called Phil Ochs. His song ‘When I’m Gone’ is particularly poignant as he sadly ended up committing suicide due to mental health problems. Wonderful smooth voice and although he had a following, he never made it big. The song itself is very easy to pick up and sing along with too. So many great musical and artistic artists who have left us. I’m not a spring chicken and Im re-discovering old artists that were just a name or not much more when I was a kid. Billy Bragg and Joe Henry sing Hobo’s Lullaby is another good one. I was familiar with Pete Seeger’s version but this one is quite unique.

Just head about Cathy Godbold a few minutes ago. I pray for her family as it is going to be challenging to fill the void of such a good person. I remember this scene and my class mates at the Hackney 6th Form Centre being emotional at the age of 17-18 (I think) in London. Lovely scene and so poignant.

Felt sympathy for Blake in the letter telling him to move on when he is in love with her how can you just move on just like that. If I was in that same position and was told about a partners illness I would do it in eye blink. After this I didn't really see much off this how long was it before Blake got over her?
