👉🏻 In this video I am reviewing the Bigtreetech Pad 7 that runs stock Klipper. It has vibration feedback, touch sounds, adaptive screen brightness, and more. But is it any good? Well, you will know all that after watching this in-depth video.

Yup, the most important that it runs stock klipper, which is miles better than any custom implementation on the market today.

There are way better "text-to-speech" models than I used, but they all can't really pronounce those vocal expressions. So yeah it sounds hilarious ;D
I got mine when they came out, Finally got it to update everything installed on it after having to buy another 2.4ghz router as they wont work on a Sky hub. But then the next problem, Even though the Pad 7 connects to the wifi, Putty cant find it even with the IP address typed straight in. So, its worthless. I cant fix the missing file to make it work. Ive ordered a CM4 from Raspberry, Replace the CB1 and hopefully get something happening.
How did you get adaptive brightness to work?
I see you have BTT7 with KP3S Pro. Do you know where I can find a tutorial on how to install BTT7 with this printer? Maybe you would like to make a tutorial for it? Or maybe you know how to connect KP3S Pro S1 SonicPad? Regards.
Can I add the sound feature to my raspberrypi 3b+ if I add a speaker? Is just awesome the the amount of posibilities
I can't see why you couldn't if it has an audio out port. But you probably will need to configure it with different settings.

Since we use a SonicPad at my workplace, it would be interesting for me to know which updates come with stock klipper. Anybody can tell me?
CR M4, sonic pad and pad7 keeps losing connection to mcu. Any ideas?

@@PrintingPerspective thanks for your propped answer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t recognise the pin. I had a bit of play behind the screen like the instructions say but it doesn’t take in account the pin for the adxl. Cheers
Are you using PAD 7 with BTT ADXL? Because it is for this specific combo.

i had a raspberry pi4b 4gb but after weeks of trying to install klipper and failing everytime trying to get it to work i maybe will give this one a chance :) also had no screen on the pi and had to do everything with the pc or switching hdmi port on tv lol :)
I think Pi4b is a little bit overkill for a printer considering its cost. If you need a screen next to a printer you can open Mainsail on a phone. But Klipperscreen is just way more optimized for a touch interface, so it is definitely nice to have, but not a must.

What's the problem? Klipper is not that difficult to install. The most complicated part is the configuration
Question, i messaged BTT and they told me only 12v dc and 5v usb power. I am now very confused because I've already got it hooked to the printer's 24v power supply which seems to power the pad just fine but I don't want to damage the pad by using it long-term if it is not compatible. 😮 Any thoughts?
Maybe miscommunication inside the company. I talked to a person directly who works closely with engineers and they said - "To clarify, the Pad 7 is designed to support both 12V and 24V power input.". It would be very stupid to design a pad that only can be powered with 12V because almost all printers run on 24V. I will relay your experience, so hopefully they all will be on the same page.
@DIYPERSPECTIVE Thank you for clarifying that. It makes sense, the person I spoke to was most likely just a sales person as I messaged them through their aliexpress account. I also asked them, then why include the barrel connector and they couldn't give me a clear answer, stating it is included to give "more options" but at the same time saying to only use the 12v adapter 😂 lol .... on another note, does the backlight flicker slightly for a second when you power it up? It seems that may be normal?
How did you get the ADXL to work ? I get an error saying Invalid adxl345 id (got ff vs e5)

Every printer should come with rooster crowing sound.
Most of these "pads" remind me of car gps units that have been sold for 3x the price to people who don't know better.
Great review - friendly advice: work on your “p” and “d” sound. I had no idea what you were saying and finally figured out you are trying to say pad. Watch some basic English alphabet videos and it will help you to understand how to say words with these letters.
I myself only know one language and I’ve tried to learn Spanish but failed, so anyone that knows 2 is impressive to me. Just giving advice
Yeah, for me it is hard because I only speak English when I recording voiceover s. I get rusty and it is also hard to spot wrong pronunciations because I know the script. Thanks for giving an actual advice, because some others just shit on and leave.
