Bracelet binding between links can be solved sometimes by washing the watch with a liquid hand soap and wiggling it a bit before rinsing. Helped me once. Very nice release from SM.
I've got the San Martin on order and really looking forward to receiving it. The only thing I would say is that I think a lot people would be happy to pay a bit extra for a hi beat option just to get that nice smooth second hand sweep.
I think the OG Aquaterra looks best in green too... but it's just the date window that holds me back, which is probably stupid as the indicies are all whitish too...
Great review 👍🏻 I just received mine today and really love the blue dial and the case design of this V2. I have the V1 in white dial so I can compare. They could have done better with the bracelet, maybe a wider H style bracelet, but maybe they want us to benefit from the quick adjust clasp (which I love) so it is what it is. My only gripe with this V2 is that the CROWN IS NOT FULLY SCREWING INTO THE CROWN TUBE, about an MM or so. This is not the case with my 3 other San Martin watches. I thought I may have a lemon on my hands, but watching your video, as well another video with the green dial V2, both also have the same issue with some gap between the case and the crown. I can look past this minor issue, but I hope SM and WD fix this in V3. Because I'm definitely going to get another dial color 😉
It is an odd crown design with such a large section of the crown tube being visible. Looking at the back of the case, I do see the slight gap you are referring to. Definitely something to watch out for in terms of water resistance.
Damn.... an Aqua homage... Wow. In the video I can't tell for sure...but but is San Martin/Watch Dives actually using clear anti-reflective coating there? It's supposed to have a color match date wheel.... Weird. No black model? I'm glad they didn't do the polish centrelinks on the bracelet...
@@realestwatchreviews a beautiful logo can either be a text or just a simple logo. It just needs to be simple and elegant. Their current logo just throws off the entire dial. SM copies watch designs. Wondering if they could come up with one original design as simple as a proper logo.
Completamente decepcionado por la calidad del reloj, los primeros san Martín son de gran calidad, en especial este modelo su calidad es muy pobre en persona, acabados horribles, el brazalete tiene mucho juegos scrap piece

The bezel looks big probably because it blends into polished case surface at 3 and 9 area. Also, IXDAO can be pronounced as 9 DAO.
It looks incredible on your wrist I hope for more releases of these dimensions
San Martin, Love your logo!
half links are available for the IXDAO. $15
They have to improve the reflection on that crystal. It totally detracts from the dial. Maybe go with an AR coated flat sapphire with a nice bevel.
I agree, they need to use clear AR coating and apply additional layers.
That olive green is sensational. I am looking forward to mine, which has the new color-matched date wheel.
I absolutely love this colour! I’m still looking for a good strap to match.
@realestwatchreviews I actually going to sell mine. I love the look but find it's just too small on my wrist for my tastes.

Other than the movement it's probably as good as the original. Makes you think!

Yes, you are right. Keep up your great work on reviewing these affordable and mid-sized watches! You're doing a great job 🙏🏻 👍🏻
Hi bro, I’m in Vancouver too, I was wondering if you’ve paid any customs for this particular watch
Love the shade of green here. May I know if Watchdives operates a store on Aliexpress - do you know the name ? Thanks
To my knowledge, they do not have an AE store.
@@realestwatchreviewsOk, thanks
Niccceeeeeee!! Can’t wait till they make this in black and in titanium!!
Don’t tease me like that!!
Dang, that's a winner!😃
It’s another home run for San Martin!
Great to see it in the metal...Did you have to pay any import taxes ordering directly from Watch Dives to Canada?
Yes, I was charged duties and tax from FedEx.
Was it shipped from the USA? If so next time have watches shipped to Point Roberts, WA.
@@MarcTsawwassen no, it shipped from China.
i was going to ask this Q. ty for the reply too. this is why i prefer Ali, shipping takes longer but no additional tax. so annoying
ps. great review 🤙

It’s listed as “Swiss AR coating” on their website. It does not have a noticeable blue hue so may be as close to clear AR as I’ve ever seen them use.
bezel somehow looks way too thick
Great review dude. I want one!
Thank you! I’m really enjoying this piece. Amazing dial at this price point.
38mm looks so small on me. I wish they made it the 41mm
It seems smaller/more classic sizes are popular nowadays. I think this one would look good in a modern 41mm too.
Agree
Thanks for the video, new sub
Thanks for the sub!
7:00 before we FINALLY get a closeup and can start taking your word for it “ looking stunning etc” !! ( as opposed to miles away !) Really dude ?! 🙄
SM really needs to change that unsightly logo.
Do you prefer the text only logo?

@@realestwatchreviews it can be as simple and elegant as the Grand Seiko’s GS logo
I like it better than the text Pagani Design.
nine DAO that's how it's pronounced
San Martin, pls change your logo
Never change the logo
@@NubletPie278agree I love their logo. Think it gives the dial real symmetry & I think it looks classy.
The Logo looks great 👍 👍👍
It’s one of the better logos on an Ali brand watch.

The hands are too small very tiny need to be bigger
Nice watch but I could never wear a watch with such a cheap badly designed logo
Ok spend 5k then
