Hai Kishore, I briefly worked as a signal engineer in Mysore Division, SWR(Karnataka). I have been following the odisha incidednt for the past 1 week. This by far is the most comprehensive and detailed video depicting the incident and ruling out various casuses and probabilities. Terminologies like Solid state/electronic interlocking, point machines, track circuits are used to explain the incident. Great job, I truly appretiate all the hard work that has gone behind the making of this masterpeice. Congrats and keep up the good work. Hopefully after the Comissioner of Railway Safety(CRS) submits the report, you make a video depicting what unfolded and caused this misaph.
@@iamchachachoudhary such a scenario doesn't arise. Firstly there is a loco pilot(senior employee) and an Assistant local pilot. The chances of both failing in signal interpretation, experiencing mental issues/stress are rather remote. There is a timer mechanism which sets an alarm periodically that the pilots need to acknowledge manually immediately. For instance both pilots get unconscious, and if the alarm doesn't get acknowledged, the train is brought to a halt(similar to the concept of a watch dog timer used in a micro controller). This mechanism is different and is not to be confused with the Anti collision (kavach) system.

From a layman's perspective I can see 3 obvious solutions: 1. Make loop lines longer and no train should be parked right at the intersection, must be parked deep inside the loop line. 2. Install Kavach so that even if the train enters loop line there is enough distance between the parked train and the on coming train and the Kavach can fire and stop the train. 3. Make seperate routes for goods trains and passenger trains.
East coast rail already sent a notice letter to Indian railways that their interlocking was malfunctioning 4 months before this accident happened and it was published in the news paper that they had avoided an accident 4 mnths ago and asked the Indian railway board to look into it but the railways didnt take any proper step
