I respect and appreciate other avatars and saviors. Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Sarada Devi hold a special place in my heart and mind because there is evidence that each has also plumbed the depths of being human in a human life. Michael Madhusudan Dutta didn't teach anything about Christianity to Sri Ramakrishna. Sri Ramakrishna himself said that who had come as Sri Rama And Sri Krishna in the past, has come now as Sri Ramakrishna. It is expected that A person like Sri M would be more factual.

Michael Madhusudan didn't initiate or teach Sri Ramkrishna about anything. It was when one of his devotee recited the bible, thakur decided to practice it. Secondly, Sri Ramkrishna praticed various other religious practices in order to realise the ultimate truth that every spiritual path that exists lead to the same reality and spread the word. That doesn't mean he had multiple ishtas. His ultimate focus was always on Maa Kali. If someone thinks it's okay to have multiple ishtas then he hasn't understand the meaning of spirituality at all. Thirdly, Swami Vivekananda respected his guru. But that doesn't mean he considered him equivalent to devata. Swami Vivekananda told his most favourite disciple Sister Nivedita that Kali worship is his special habit. He didn't preach it because his life's mission was to spread the message Hinduism to the world without any bias. As a result he couldn't attach himself to a particular sect infront of the world. But behind the doors he practiced what his guru used to practice and that is, the worship of Maa kali

Most of us report on what we believe to be true, or remember, from trusted sources. Sri M is a superb spiritual guide (my experiences) and scholar of the Upanishads, not a perfect and infallible brain.

I think you may be wrong. Whether Michael taught Thakur is a different topic. But Thakur asking him to teach Christianity is factually recorded.
