New system loading logs on to the sawmill !

- After using varius systems for loading logs up on the sawmill I decided to make it less strenuous and easier by using the same system I had made to load logs on my forest wagon.
Erik that little mill works pretty good & your new winch system works great :) If you cold park a little closer you might be able to use your log wagon polls to roll the log right onto the mill right from the wagon :)
Probably sick of people telling you how to do your shit, but I fabricated a log lift to go onto my three point hitch....Just a thought, I bulled and thrashed when I was younger, now I think a bit more because I'm old...Necessity is the mother of invention!
That’s the simplest small sawmill I have ever seen, you have to be very smart to make it simple and this fellow has the grey matter. I have run and operated circular sawmills and hammered the saws and for a small operation that is the way to go. I personally would have more automatic parts in there but that’s just because I’m lazy. BRAVO ! E.j.
What a neat little sawmill!
That looks so much easier and a lot safer on your back too... :-)
drive the trailer closer to the mill and put Ramps from the trailer to the mill and roll it by hand.

Thats what I do with the exact same sawmill.
Job well done! 👍
Impressive! that mill works very well !!! I am building a bandsaw mill and I hope it works as well as yours!!!
One smart man 👍
Your ramp and hoist solution is quite clever.
I noticed you dropped the logs on the ground before hoisting them. If you parked the trailer closer to the mill, your trailer ramps would rest next to the mill rampa. 😅The logs would roll down into the V created by the ovelapping ramps. You would not need to hoist as high when loading the mill.
I always wondered why you loaded your logs on you’re sawmill the old way! I thought you wanted the exercise 👍😎
Great Idea.... I also like the Electric Option... I hear they are looking into a Electric Version for the USA Version.
love your videos!
AWESOME JOB Erik!! I was thinking, where the lock screw fastens through the crank handle into the pinion shaft, you could fabricate something like a socket that would attach to your Dewalt drill, you would be surprised how much MORE EASIER it would make it and even faster getting the logs up on the platform. I've always worried about your back when I first saw you lifting those logs. We only have one back, it's too late for me but I thought I could help someone else out. GREAT JOB buddy and God Bless you and yours my friend!!! Jay.
Thanks Silver :-) I will try the drill thing one day, it sounds like a very good idea!
nice result
I enjoyed this video thanks!
very use full for sure
Yeah..me too good one.
What if you built a log bunk? Then when you unload the logs off your trailer, you could use your trailer sides as a bridge to roll logs onto your log bunk. Then from bunk to mill.
Hi MH I know, but it would simply be in my way as I have to get in front of the sawmill every time I turn and tigten the log, I could make something I could remove I know but I think that would be a pain in the ass too :-)
@@Eriks-flying-sawdust-channel I was wondering if it would be in the way, why you hadn't already done that. I see what you mean tho. I just built one for my f2+. And I can see it being in my way. Time will tell. Nice vidja

A log table can be built mostly of wood, with hinges so you can lift upp the bridges between the log table and the sawmill while sawing.

Eventually one can put a steel roller on each bridge to make it easier to transport the sawn planks sideways.
Music was perfect.
Why drop the logs onto the ground if you only have to lift them again to saw them ? Put in a deck and save your back
I’m impressed with all of your processes. Tell me about your mill please
ThanksJeff The sawmill is a logosol m8, here is a video from the factory :-) ruclips.net/video/F2lmY8GITuQ/видео.html&ab_channel=LogosolPortableSawmills
Eric I like the sawmill you should consider converting it to a band-saw instead of the chain~ saw or a circular saw but with the circular it cuts more wood as with the band~saw could you do a video showing your mill and what you like or don't like about it?
Hi Marc. yes a bandsawmille would be smarter, but I got this used and cheap and i only cut to my own use so for the time being this sawmill meet my needs :-)
Nice solid little trailer, did you build it?
Just wondering why you don't load the mill directly from the trailer ?
Hello Erik (from Alaska)... what is the name brand of your electric mill? Thank you! dig the channel..
Logosol M8
@@Eriks-flying-sawdust-channel Thank you, Sir!
Smart logging and sawing by a smart man. (by the way .. couldn't locate your 1" chisel? ha)
To lazy to get it :-)
Why just make a simple log table, and roll the logs from the trailer to the log table, and from the log table to your mill?
Might do that one day, but you still have to elavate the logs a bit as the wagon is so low.
I use two planks with a cunter support . Don put it on the ground only to pick it up again
@@Eriks-flying-sawdust-channel - build a little hill to park the wagon on so it is the right height.
I think Woodmiser uses a winch on their 15 model ,,
I always put the year date when I do any concreting like that rediscovered a 1998 one other day
I usaly do that too, :-)
I put an up to date dime or quarter on the surface . They are still there, twenty years later
Det er nogle gode videoer du laver
Tak Rasmus!
What is the name of the hand crank winch tool mounted on the vertical pole that you used at the beginning of the video? I am looking for a tool like that for lifting the back of my snowmobile out of the slush when ai get stuck.
I am not sure they make them anymore. ruclips.net/video/D6k7wyHY6zk/видео.html&ab_channel=LogosolPortableSawmills
why use concrete in the hole in the ground. Why not simply use some woodsticks or planks or similar so its easier to remove?
wood rotens...
Good job, may I know what is the sawmill made?
Thanks! The sawmill is a logosol M8
Just a suggestion, why not park closer and put your wagon ramps directly onto the sawmill. Good job
I would still have to roll the logs upwards as the trailer is so low.
I had the Sam thought. Even if you only came closer you could put a board across the steps ad drop the wagon ramps to that then you don’t have to expend as much energy lifting them. Old guy thinking.
This system is already available on the Norwood saw mill.
Good ❤️❤️❤️
Did you build this little mill ? It looks like you could cut in both directions
Try using a cordless drill instead of hand cranking.
What's that hi lift jack at the start called?
ruclips.net/video/D6k7wyHY6zk/видео.html&ab_channel=LogosolPortableSawmills
Nice music, but the log loading is too much work.
Skal du på cykeltur i år?
Det ku hænde..
Why not put some arms on that tractor?
