I got out of Jail 2 years ago after a vicious cycle of doing drugs and a toxic relationship. Decided to change everything about myself, went to the gym, started doing things I enjoyed as a kid. Now at 24 I run a company that did 1m in sales last year, feel healthier than ever and I attribute that to the numerous podcasts that I listened to that made me feel surrounded by positive, intelligent and interesting people. I changed my environment and it changed my environment. Thank you to Andrew Huberman for his fantastic podcasts.

Topic request: an episode dedicated exclusively to women’s health, hormone optimization, and contraceptives (both combined oral and IUDs). I think the episodes with Dr Gillet and your solo episode on hormones only touched the surface relative to females. I think it is a topic that warrants a full treatment.

Yes, I’ve seen the episode Dr. Huberman and Dr. Atia did together. Plus, I’ve seen many of Atia’s videos. It seems most content related to women’s hormones has been for pre-menopausal and menopausal women. In an AMA Atia did, he even said women’s health isn’t his strongest field knowledge. I’m seeking information for hormonal health for women 20-40ish

Dr Huberman, even though we've never met personally I cant thank you enough for how much you've helped impact a positive change in my life these past 2 difficult years. I stopped drinking, and engaging in self destructive behaviors, started exercising daily, learned how to deal with and control my anxiety, learned how to deal with the pain of loss, learned how to be healthier and just be a better person to myself and the people around me. Your podcasts were at the forefront of all this, while also giving me a steady source of entertainment. Im in my early 30s now and for the first time feel like i'm really living my life instead of just going through the motions. I wish you the best in all your future endeavors and to thank you again for your honesty, integrity and hardwork for putting out this content for us

I love how thoroughly you explain everything. I’ve always been so sensitive so the minute you said the 90 minute cycle doesn’t end just because you wake up. I knew right away it started the minute you are not most alert. I always did better in college when I studied in the morning. Omgoodness, I so appreciate your help. With this Brain injury connected to my right eye, plus my left ear drum getting broken I can’t tell you how rough this year has been. Thank you. You are a God sent.

9:50 Based on my life. As a child. The moment I woke up. I got a kick of dopamine, instead of cortisol. Could it be that stress is creating this cortisol production. People are in a state of need. Where as, a child is in a state of want. Couldn't it be, that humans have been living with stress for 10 of 1000s of years. Have you done any testing on young children to determine, if they too make cortisol upon waking up?

Also during sleep my cycles are short. I have a complete sleep cycle every 60-75 minutes.

No where near screens/sunlight (for those in the attic circle). One of the experts on a previous podcast with Huberman lights up his house with candles.
Also helpful to think about the hundred+thousand years (if not 1-2million+) our species and close relatives have been utilizing fire in homesites

Andrew has stated numerous times that both firelight and moonlight do not affect/ interfere with melatonin levels. Reason being that this type light is very low in Lux.
So...no worries about firelight or moonlight affecting/disrupting sleep. (except(!) Never go to bed whilst a fire or candles are 🔥...stands to reason, of course, but thought I should throw that in there. 😅

Thanks this is wonderful news... I homeschool my kids and it is very frustrating. But I have noticed that at times they do understand or work best then other times... so my question is, how would I tell ? How do get them at the right time to sit down and learn ?.. because I would rather have two hours a day of good learning , the trying to drum something into them...

I found this very interesting. I was wondering and you touched on it a little; can an Ultradian Cycle be manipulated during your sleep time? In other words, can I play music, MHZ vibrations or via some other means force or prompt a cycle and learn or study within that cycle period with the playing of educational materials or even the Huberman Lab Podcasts?

Hey Dr. Huberman I cannot thank you enough for the content! With that being said, what are your thoughts on the Hapbee. In other words, does the Hapbee actually do what it claims it is supposed to do?

Hey Andrew! Wanted to thank you for all the really valuable and educational content you have been pumping out over the years! I was wondering if you have ever considered doing episodes for individual sports and their requirements? For example, I fight Muay Thai professionally and would like to incorporate more weight training to enhance explosiveness but maintain speed and endurance - I started doing some of it and instantly put on 8kg in 3 months (a big issue for me and my weight category). My follow-up question would be: is there any research that supports restrictive diets (lower protein for example) coupled with heavy lifting that would drive strength and explosiveness without muscle mass increases?

I'm pretty sure both of my cycles are before noon. I get up around 0430 and I wake up pretty much rested and ready to go. I get lot's done by 0900. After noon I am worthless.

interesting to see the "random" concept of ultradian pulses without the precise framework of muhūrtta as aproximate 48 minutes cycles...

Is that possible for people who have ADD perform ultradian cycle?

I'd like to see Andrew discuss the science of muscle memory. How is it that one day I can't play a guitar chord to save my life, but the next day I play it first try? Any ways to speed up/enhance this process?

    A Podcast Idea:
Health Effects of smartwatches, bluetooth headphones etc relating to radiation. This topic is important for everyone and I would love to see what you can find out looking at the science here!
    Best regards! Lenny

Very minimal. The radiation emitted from such devices has waves that are too long for interaction with human cells. The only thing thaty can occur is slight thermal increase in specific spots of the body.
